Author has written 2 stories for Twilight.

Apparently, peer pressure works: I'm now on Twitter (as Oxymoronic8).

About Me: I'm 28, went to law school, hated it, and now spend all my free, non-lawyer time secretly writing fanfic in my apartment. My friends think I've been abducted by aliens, but frankly, I've never been happier.

I'm engaged, but I fear wedding planning like most fear natural disasters and clowns. Though, don't get me wrong, encountering a clown in a dark alley late at night would still scare the bejesus out of me. Anyway, my fiance is all shades of awesome. He introduced me to Commando, one of the cinematic masterpieces of our time. Or at least of 1985. Any film that features Arnold Schwarzenegger hand-feeding a deer with Alyssa Milano holds a special place in my heart, as does the man who first clued me in to it. Plus, he supports my secret fanfic habit, as we met in a creative writing class in college and I think he's relieved I went back to doing something that I love.

My weaknesses include cheap wine; expensive, imported beer; California rolls; and ostentatious, designer handbags. I hate slow drivers, vehicles sporting Confederate flags, the music of Phil Collins, and skinny jeans.

Fic-wise, I will read anything, as long as it's well-written. Even if something appears to be a cliche, I am a firm believer that a good writer can transcend said cliche and pique my interest. I am a relative newcomer to fanfiction, b/c I admit, I believed the stigma before I started checking out fanfic for The Office two years ago (check out the link below), but am now a convert. I'm mostly a Twilight girl at the moment because even though I try and convince everyone that I'm cynical and cool, really I'm just a sap underneath.

Warning Labels (or as I like to call it: "The Greatest Fanfic of All Time")The fic that made me fall in love with writing all over again. It's an Office (yes, haters, the American one) fic, but even if you've never seen a single episode, read it anyway. It started in 2006 and updates only twice a year, with only one chapter remaining, but IT IS WORTH YOUR TIME. That fic, written by four equally, mind-fuckingly amazing writers, along with Alice Sebold's novel The Lovely Bones made me want to dust off my thinking cap and write for the first time in five years in the vain hope that one day I can work to have the talent they possess in a single pinky toe.

IVO-Related Fun

Innocent, Vigilant, Ordinary is the only multi-chaptered fic I've written. It starts out slow and unoriginal and turns into something, in my humble (and biased) opinion, worth your time. It does require some patience and a high tolerance for angst. It's definitely not a story for everyone, so I appreciate those who have stuck around. I feel honored to have people cooler and smarter than me in my corner.

The IVO Livejournal Community: desert_dolly, make_me_irish, and woobiewoobywoo started up a livejournal community for IVO! And yes, in case you were wondering, my head is now officially as a big as a fracking watermelon.

The IVO Twilighted Thread: The place to be for IVO teasers and spoilers and all around good company.

IVO in German: Papillon00 is translating IVO into German!! Go check out her hard work.

The IVO Playlist: Some of you asked for this, so I give you the IVO Playlist. Please keep in mind these are the songs I listened to while drafting each chapter, so though the song corresponds on a per-chapter basis, it doesn't mean the lyrics are closely tied to the events happening therein. Sometimes, a single lyric or a melody catches my interest even though the rest of the song has to do with something completely different.
