After completing Deathly Hallows, I found myself in a serious funk. I asked my then 13 year old daughter, "What do I do now?"

She told me, "Mom, there's only one thing you can do...FAN FICTION!"

Well, it's come to this, I suppose. The truth is that I coud not stand the ending of Book 7. I needed some other type of closure, especially for Snape. I've been in love with the actor Alan Rickman since Die Hard, but for some reason Snape's character touched me deeply. One never knows when inspiration will hit.

I've always enjoyed writing, but have had a dry spell for about 5 years.

I attended the University of Mississippi as a music major and had some of the best times of my life there. I also attended a few other schools within the state until I finally graduated with a BFA from the W (Mississippi University for Women). My English professors there will probably cringe at some of my grammar should they read this, but let's hope they never do! (I've always been in comma hell!)

If you review my story please be gentle. It has not been Beta'd completely yet. I had to go ahead and post it just to feel a sense of completion.

Also, If you read this and think this is the kind of thing you'd like to beta I'd really appreciate the help.

Right now I'm working on Absolution. The pairing is kind of new to me and it took me a while to warm up to the idea of Severus and Hermione getting together, but it makes sense. In this story, it is 5 years after the war before they finally 'hook up'. He needs some happiness and I plan on giving it to him!!! I WILL FINISH THIS STORY IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS! (It is now July 16, 2011).

Uh oh...An old plot bunny had kittens in my head and I pulled out the story I had written...just named it 'The Unexpected'. I just saw the final movie a few hours ago and I had to do SOMETHING in order to stop crying! There is one...maybe two chapters left to finish. I find it saddens me to have to end it, but it must be done!
