~ Updates ~

September 19th 2009:

So I spent the last several weeks of my summer holidays slacking off and being a bum. And now I won't have time to write/update at all. :(

I guess it serves me right.

School started on the 8th, and it seems that the moment I walked into school, the teachers were just waiting with bows and arrows covered in homework. And the second I stepped in, they all aimed and shot at me.

It's ridiculous. I just found time to check my email today.

So I guess I shouldn't be promising any updates soon. I'm taking Chem, Advanced Functions, grade 11 French and English. Oh, and basic harmony on the Sundays, which is beginning to feel kind of like boot camp.

Ah! Someone help me! I'm drowning in piles of work! And I haven't blogged in forever either.

August 24th, 2009:

I am free!!

But, instead of writing the next chapter of Yours to Keep like I ought to be, I've managed to put it off by switching over to write another Klavier x Ema oneshot. This one, however, is going to be from a completely different mood than my usual K x E stories.

My piano exam is done and over with; I'm just waiting for the results to come in a couple of weeks. My relatives are back home, and I'm missing my cousins terribly :( To be a little more optimistic, I'm finally get my summer holidays where I'm not obligated to do anything :P

But then, school starts in two-ish weeks, so I've got to use the little time I've got left to update more frequently.

~ About Me... (shortened because the sheer length of it made me feel ego-centric) ~

. Strands of study I want to pursue: medicine, forensics, criminology, criminal law, botany, literature, philosophy, psychology, sociology and a whole bunch of other things that slip my mind right now...

. I'm terribly picky with the music I like. But Ace Attorney soundtracks own the world :)

. I'm a total nerd. And like your typical Chinese-Canadian 15 (oh, wait, change that to 16) year old, I play the piano (I apologize for stereotyping, but that's the trend that I see :P)

. I have a sister who's 4 years younger than me. And I just got her obsessed with Ace Attorney. Oh, and now she has an account here (go visit her: madscientists)

. I tend to procrastinate. Though I like to think that I'm good at pretending I don't. (Did I lose you there?)

. I laugh at everything. But I'm terribly unfunny. Sad, no?

~ My Fanfics ~

I guess I should talk a bit about my fanfics here. I'll warn you now, they're not very good -.-

Sweet Dreams, Fraulein

This was my very first time writing fanfiction. (And the first time I wrote in months) I fell in love with the Klavier x Ema pairing reading other fanfics, and I really wanted to contribute something to the community. I intended for it to be a very innocent and sweet romance...but when I tried to accomplish that, I kind of forgot about everything else.

So because of that, both Klavier and Ema are VERY out of character. The plotline is also ridiculously unreaslistic. XD

In The Blink of An Eye

My idea for this sparked when I started thinking about how sad Godot's story was. When I began writing this, I was aiming for a bitter, desperate, tearful atmosphere.

I failed miserably.

I was so afraid of putting him out of character because we only ever see him as the confident, condescending, in-control prosecutor. To make him the vulnerable, despairing, victim would be giving him a 180 degree spin on his character.

So it ended up being a very dry, unemotional and untearful story :( I didn't even come close to crying when I wrote it...

10 Reasons Why I Hate Klavier Gavin

I actually came up with the idea for this as I was falling asleep on the night of my birthday. My birthday was basically a drag but when I went to bed to sleep that night, the spark of imagination I got for this story cheered me up considerably :D

I hope it turned out funny and perhaps witty (?) the way I wanted it to

10 Reasons Why I Love Ema Skye

Credit goes to demonprosecutor for this idea! :) I personally thought that '10 Reasons Why I Hate Klavier Gavin' was better because I'm not that great at narrating from a guy's point of view. I was having trouble coming up with a couple of points XD

Constellations

I wanted to try out a new genre because I always thought how sweet it was that the sisters of the PW series were so close. So I decided to start a story centered around stars, one of the most commonly recurring symbols you'll find anywhere. This is the first story that I've posted so far without it being complete first. I have a rough outline of what each chapter will be, but chapters will come up as I write them. I can't let on anything yet, since I don't want to spoil it :)

Ch.1 - Wish Upon a Folded Star

Iris really plays a big part in the events of Trials and Tribulations. Sadly, we don't realize that she exists until the last case of the "last" game. We know everything from Dahlia's point of view, but what was the story like from Iris' perspective? T&T spoilers - Iris and Dahlia Hawthorne.

Ch.2 - Fallen Star

Lana Skye, her life thrown to pieces by a manipulative man. But why did she allow herself to be controlled like a puppet? One single reason - to protect her sister Ema. Looking at the life of Lana Skye: shining star, falling star, fallen star. Rise From the Ashes spoilers - Lana and Ema Skye.

Ch.3 - Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Misty Fey suddenly disappears, leaving a 12 year old Mia to support herself and her sister. Mia pulls through all the hard times for one sole reason - her own little star, Maya. T&T minor "spoilers" - Mia and Maya Fey.

Ch.4 - Star Light, Star Bright

Her older sister had a reason for everything she did, no matter how much it hurt both of them. Lana sacrificed so much, but it didn't ever lessen the hurt she inflicted on her sister. Imagine what Ema went through during those two years. Rise From the Ashes spoilers - Ema and Lana Skye.

Bittersweet

My first ever Mia x Diego fanfic! This was pretty fun to write (even though it kinda sucked XD), and I was on a roll. I think I wrote this one the fastest out of all the stories I have here :)

Their relationship is so tragic... I think I touched upon that in my story about Godot, but that was only from his perspective. Mia needs some love too, and hopefully, this turned out better than my second story XP

10 Reasons Why I Know They're Going Out, Pal

Originally titled 10 Reasons Why I Know Miss Ema and Mr. Gavin Are Going Out, Pal. That was too long to fit in the title bar, though...

This was the result of my attempt at cheering myself up from a lousy week. It may have turned out lame, but at least it did the job, and it was fun to write. I suppose I was slightly delirious when I started giggling while I was writing a part that wasn't even funny XD

Yours to Keep

Instead of writing a whole bunch of oneshots of Diego and Mia, I'll somehow fit them all together onto one single plotline here :)

I've always found it a little surprising that Diego and Mia developed such a deep relationship in the 6(?) months that they knew each other in. So to help justify that, I wrote this. I suppose it could be considered "AU" at the beginning since I write it so that they meet each other when they're kids.

And I can't say much else, because I don't want to unravel my whole storyline for this :P

Retaliation

After 3 months of having disappeared off the face of the earth, I decided to write this. Originally, I was going to have Ema be a little more antagonistic towards Klavier, and this story was just going to be Ema pranking Klavier. But I couldn't help making it a bit more Klavier x Ema than that (not by much, though) After all, who can resist our favourite rocking prosecutor glimmerous fop? Not Ema, apparently :)

Just to See You Smile

If you read my Author's Notes (and End Notes) on this, you have heard me explain why I think the chemistry between Klavier and Ema has so much more potential when they're young. I sometimes feel that the relationship behind this couple is underdeveloped, so in an attempt to remedy that, I wrote this. I guess it's just your typical innocent teenage romance; the close friend-turned-crush situation. Except with Klavier and Ema. It's slight AU. (Or AU of Apollo Justice)

Anyways, I would love it if you left me a review on any of my stories! Comments, criticism and reviews are greatly appreciated and loved! :D
