Ehhh... does anyone really read these bios? Didn't think so.

Here's my take on reviews: I love them and I answer them. All of them. Maybe not immediately, but I do answer them. Good reviews are wonderful (hey, what writer doesn't like those?) but the best ones are those that mention specific things liked or not liked in the story, i.e., bit of dialogue, turn of phrase, character interaction, etc. Honest criticism, good or bad, is always welcome. Flamers, spell basic words correctly or I'm going to laugh at you.

Regarding Orchid, I'm amazed and thrilled that people want to draw characters and scenes from that story. I'm seriously geeking out over it. Still! Here are the links for the artists that expressed their interest so far...

I also want to apologize to everyone for any glaring editorial issues or other problems; my main beta reader and earthbound inspiration is my husband, and he's slower than molasses flowing uphill in January. Men. Can't live with 'em and there's no resale value.

8/14/09 update: Holy crap, has it been that long?? Seems like no time at all, but the calendar doesn't lie. Renegade timelords do, when necessary, but calendars don't. I'll be getting on the intimidating backlog of messages and reviews, so for those of you who thought 'Aha - she lied, she doesn't answer them!' watch yer inbox. Anyway, since the gods have no sense of proportion, in the intervening time I've also lost my grandmother, my husband lost his foster mother, I've got a platter of medical problems and have formed an overly affectionate attachment to a parasite. I've even named it and begun dressing it in little pink outfits. Hehe, my daughter - for those of you wondering what I won in the genetic lottery - was born on April 9 and I've been going steadily more insane since then. She's sweet, quiet and happy - very nearly a perfect baby. Mom says that's what I was like as an infant. HAHAHA - fooled her but good! Wait, what was that she said about me having a child just like me...?

Anyway, amidst all the medical stuff, I've been helping my hubby on some independent projects that hopefully will help us support the family, since I've still not been cleared to return to work. In a strange spot of introspection, I came to realize that I've been taking very little time for myself. So, I'll be making a concerted effort to do more fun writing (like, oh, say Unbidden and the Orchid sequel) and less unfun writing. My hubby will have to make time so that I can do that or I am going to go completely batshit crazy and I'm going to take him with me. We're married; I have the paperwork that proves he is legally obligated to accompany me on said trip. Anyway, until you hear from me, either through PMs or by new posts, play a prank today, do something unexpected and end the day on a higher note than you began it on. =)
