Author has written 40 stories for Bones, Chuck, and Firefly. About me: A thirtysomething female, Boston native, blogger, FF writing addict. A lawyer who cooks and never watches TV-- but if they post it online, well, that's a whole 'nother matter. I try to stick with just Chuck and Bones. And endless re-watches of Firefly and Serenity. About reading and commenting: I do try to respond to comments, but sometimes life gets in the way. I don't always comment-- sometimes because of time, sometimes not. Sometimes I'm waiting to see where something goes before I have something to say one way or the other. I do have a pet peeve-- authors who never respond to comments, especially when their fics tend to be the more popular ones. I think it's rude not to acknowledge your audience directly, rather than just a "Hey, you guys are great" at the start of the next chapter. If you can take the time to review, I will do my best to take the time to respond. After all, I took the time to write. About writing in general: It's fanfiction, people, not the Pulitzer prize. While I try to write well because I have pride in my work and because I genuinely love the shows I write about, it's still fanfiction and I'm not being paid for this, despite all the lovely folks who've said I should write for the shows. (Though if you're a writer and producer for one of the shows, well, HI! PM me? Please? I'm not attached to my day job, and I've always liked LA. Seriously. I'd love to send you a spec script-- or revise one of my stories into a script.) I try to stay in canon and character. I try to be genuine to the characters as I perceive them. I don't flatter myself as some auteur and if you think my characterization is OOC, that's fine-- but please don't repeatedly flame the review box just because you don't agree.
