Author has written 1 story for Fire Emblem. "If you believe in Jesus Christ put this in your profile and don't just ignore this, because in the Bible it says if you deny me, I will deny you in front of my Father in the gates of Heaven." If you wanna pm me about anything under da sun, that's fine. This is a fanfiction site; all that matters here is that a) If I like a story I write (type?) extraordinarily long reviews and b) I have lots of fic ideas but I'm lazy about working consistently. And I have so many oc's it's hard to juggle them. What's Up With Me: (note; I'm a silly American. Fyi when I write the date I put Month/Day/Year, NOT day/month/year like some peoples. Just had to clear that up) 11/10/09 Yea I haven't been on much anyway, but for the next few weeks it'll be even less . . . haha. My school's doing a play, Thoroughly Modern Millie! (Watch the broadway version.) 10/31/09 Happy Halloween! Wow it's been awhile. I've been so busy with other things (yes I've actually been legit busy, not plain old lazy) and things aren't going to slow down any time soon quite frankly. And to be honest...the self-insert's on reeeeallllyyyyy looooong teeeerm hiatus. That's a long story why. I'll probably just take it down, frankly. 10/16/09 I'm such a lazybones. TO be honest I don't even know if I'm going to bug with the self-insert anymore...other ideas will come up though. 9/7/09 Happy Labor Day. To be honest I really doubt the self-insert'll be up for awhile. Not going into details about why. Be assured that I actually have some legit reasons, though. Trust me the fic'll be better when I wait a bit. But anyway I had this random idea for a one-shot for the Circle of Magic series. But since I've never really written a true one-shot it might take awhile, especially since I'd prefer to read Melting Stones before I publish a Circle of Magic fic. I might very possibly put one of my other PoR fic plans up, perhaps even a funny crossover, but only maybe. 9/5/09 Books-wise I read Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox. SPOILER: I'm just completely surprised that Minerva Paradizo didn't even come up...and what about Qweffor? Hmm. Anyway school started...depending on what I can or choose to do clubs/school show-wise I'll vary from busy to very busy and I'm really not sure how much publishable fic work I'll get done for now. And until next Saturday is OVER I'll probably be prone to occasional fits of passive dread. Basically my stupid mouth popped open at the wrong time and I roped myself into doing something I don't want to do. 8/27/09 Tired. Haven't gotten more than four hours of sleep in about two and a half days thanks to almost no sleep before getting on a plane and then not sleeping on the plane itself. Then coming back home, crashing on the couch, waking up around 7 and deciding to drag through the day half-awake. And I, being the brilliant person I am...I changed the language setting on my facebook page to "Pirate English," no joke. It was funny at first but then I was without internet access for a week so when I checked my email I had about 100 facebook notifications with things like "Arr yer matey swabbed a portrait of ye" and "some scurvy rogue thinks they're yer friend!" Arr. Oh yes I read (and sorta half reread) Tamora Pierce's Bloodhound, finally! Very good. Though (SPOILER ALERT!) I personally am surprised that Beka didn't pick up on Hanse faster. After all in the beginning that minstrel dude described him really, really thoroughly, from his looks to his accent as well as his full name...hm then again lots for her to remember right? Anyow is this just me but were the suspects for Terrier and Bloodhound slightly predictable? I mean unless that's the intent...hm that's probably purposeful but still. Because in Terrier the whole lily pendant thing with Mistress Noll made it predictable. And Yates is so stupid and greedy...wouldn't have lived with his mother if he was that successful a Shadow Snake, right? 8/14/09 So tired/busy/still-fixing-up-domestic-problems! I should work on the self-insert but for some reason I feel like the fire's gone out of it...I already suspect that the characters and myself will be nothing like how we are in real life. Ah well. It is fiction after all. I'm toying with all these random crossover ideas. Like I've said before possibly the Fruits Basket-PoR crossover could take shape, especially that I'm 2 volumes away from finishing the series. Sniff it's sad getting to the end isn't it? And I got the idea of a Tamora Pierce-PoR crossover as well...the only problem is that if I stuck Aly in she'd completely ruin the storyline with Nasir because she's such the genius little spy...I probably will definitely put Tris in tho. Mwahahahahaha for lightning-ness! And it's definitely possible that I'll put Daine (she'd make a good Branded character) , Kel, Neal, maybe even Thayet in. (Thayet could be like Astrid's relative or someting.) s8/6/09 Wow, so many reviews for Mages in Tellius. I feel extraordinarily guilty for not updating sooner! Sorry everyone! THen again in my defense have had some domestic problems...and character problems! Still having trouble deciding on who to put in. Like I said juggling 3 people. I could put all of them in, but I don't want this little Mary-Sueish triforce to form... 8/3/09 I can't believe it's taken me so long to update Mages in TEllius, but I ran into more lovely character wrinkles...that's what happens when you base everybody off of people you actually know! Arrrrrgh. I'm juggling 3 different characters (based off my friends) who I want in there. Unfortunately I can't decide who. Or if I should stick all three of them in. Mehhhhhhhhhhh. 7/27/09 What happens when you don't check your email for ages? Oh that's right. You get a big-butt pile of emails. 7/19/09 The self-insert's finally up! Much thanks to FE Frog for being a patient and prompt beta. (That sounds like an oxymoron. Hmm. But it's true nevertheless.) I can't believe I've already had 2 reviews (not including my beta's)! Wow I feel so . . . happy! Sniff. Major case of fuzzies swarming my insides, haha. ANyway thanks to Ellis and Cross. Now I have good incentive to write next chapter fast. Oh and if you're curious enough to wanna know what other crud I put on a profile, read onnn (not that you'll learn much). I like to imagine that I'm Shigure from Fruits Basket; I'm a ripple, because if you touch me, I'll go farther away...haha, not really. I have close friends and family. Just not on the internet. I'm paranoid that way. Name:for all practical purposes on this site, it's Spygirly. Names: Yes, while I'm on the subject of names, I'm getting really really really IRRITATED AND CONFUSED BEYOND BELIEF about a few things! First of all, one of my favorite names was always Kiana; it's a best friend's name...and then we watched the movie 21, and a character's name is Kiana! And THEN I briefly read Arabella Scott's fic With Each Passing Day, and the girl's name is Kiana! It's just kind of weird... Then I was looking for a name for a favorite OC. I found it online; Karina. It's a beautiful name, and I like obscure names for OC's. Then a few days later during school the teacher calls "Carina!" Geesh, do you have any idea how weird it is for a classmate to have the name of an OC? And I don't even know the girl--classmate--personally, so it's even weirder every time her name's called. And then my other OC I named Milar. I made it up. And then I'm reading The Naming by Alice Croggon--great book, but I got really, really creeped out by the similarities between the main character Maerad and my OC Milar! They're both black-haired, blue-eyed, in slavery, with M names. !! How'd that happen? Argh! Did Alice Croggon read my mind? Speaking of mind reading, I was reading Frog-Lizard's Free to Sing, and I was also creeped out by something else; some of her ideas were really similar to mine. Oh and if you haven't read Free to Sing then please do, Frog-Lizard's amazing. Then I was thinking of a name for another OC. I made it up--Lenna. I thought "Oh gosh what a pretty name that I've made up." Then I was rereading Eldestby CHristopher Paolini, and a minor character is named Lenna...I think I remembered subconsciosly the name, but it was still irritating. I thought I'd made the name up but really hadn't. Sigh Coincidences are irritating. Favorite video game: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. I really should beat Radiant Dawn but am too busy for video games. My spare time is devoted to ten billion other things. I've gotten up to the last chapter of part 1, which has a hatred for me; I suck at video games really, so I've killed my own characters at least 3 times without beating that chapter. I've watched people play the FE with LYn and Eliwood--see, I'm so lousy with video games I forgot the name of it, haha--and read some fanfiction about it, so I do know the basic plot. But that's it. Favorite books:If it's teenage fantasy, chances are I've read it. I'm toying with a few random crossovers for Circle of Magic and the Tortall universe with Fire Emblem...anyway favorites books;Wayyyyyy too many to actually list, so I'm literally rambling some of my favorites here: Cornelia Funke's Inkheart, Inkspell, Inkdeath, THief Lord, Dragon Rider, every single Tamora Pierce book EXCEPT Melting Stones. But I have read the other series; Song of the Lioness, The Immortals, Protector of the Small, Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, Circle of Magic, The Circle Opens, The Will of the Empress. Duhhh Harry Potter. The Twilight Series. The Fire Within series. The Magyk series. Abhorsen series. The Traveling Pants series. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles. The Inheritance Cycle (arrrgh darn him for springing a cliffhanger on the third book when it was supposed to be the last one). Peter and the Starcatchers, Peter and the Shadow Thieves. (Haven't read the third one yet.) Ella Enchanted. Just Ella. Elsewhere. Warrior Cats. Magic or Madness. oh and the Clique series mainly because they're so laughable. What else? Lots, but my memory's bad...Perfect, Cheapter by the Dozen and Belles on their Toes, CHronicles of Chrestomanci, Manga/Anime:I'm addicted to Fruits Basket. Finished the 21st volume. Sniff don't want it to end! Maybe that's why I haven't finished the last two. I always read books/manga before watching movies/anime, so that's why I'm not into Naruto; I've watched a little but not gotten a chance to read any of it. I know enough about it so I can read some fanfiction about it if I want to, but not enough to write fanfiction about it. Shakespeare;I've read A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, Macbeth--AUGHHH I mean The Scottish Play (I actually performed in it), Romeo and Juliet, A Comedy or Errors; those I have read to death in the original version and gone almost line by line so they are very clear to me. I know the basic plots and ideas of Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, and The Tempest, but haven't actually read them thoroughly. Soren:Yep, he gets his own section. I'm a Soren fan (duh, there was Captain Obvious for ya). One big thing--look, before you scream, let it be known that I respect everyone's character interpretation, but SOREN ISN'T GAY!! People can be very close friends and not have a relationship! Anyway, it's kind of hard to get a good Soren pairing. I kinda like either Soren/Lethe or Soren/Mia or maybe Soren/Illyana. . . I can't really speak for Soren/Micaiah because I haven't played Radiant Dawn yet, but it sounds okay from what I've read in spoilers. Or, of course, if you make a really good OC for a pairing. It's seriously hard to write a Soren pairing, if you ask me, which is why I haven't attempted it. Oh, and why do I love Soren? Well, it's sort of hard to pin down, really, but . . . sometimes characters just have this like magnet! You love them! Hm, I just imagined Soren rolling his ruby eyes. But I have to admit, I have this weird fascination with all the Branded characters. A LOT of my ocs are branded or whatever. Er, not that you know them. Haven't published yet. Probably because he's so smart . . . and yea, I kinda adore sad backround stories like his. Now I feel sadistic. But still . . . Random Stuff About My Writing Philosophies, Preferences, etc: I think that video games make some of the best fanfiction material mainly because the large amount of characters gives you a lot of room for oc's and subplots, while the original plot is long and broad enough to give you lots of room to work with. Video game plots are flexible, I say. I like reading books better than video games, but there's not as much flexibility for fanfiction, in my opinion. | |||||||||
