Author has written 53 stories for Harry Potter. I'm Dessi, coming from that strange country called Argentina. I'm a 21 years-old university student and I'm taking a honours degree in Social Communication. I love the English language, and translating. I spent the summer after Deathly Hallows was released translating the book to Spanish, and my whole family thought I was mental. Seriously, I loved it. I'm keen on reading MUSIC movies NATURE I'm a Hermione Granger/Ronald Weasley shipper: don't come to me with any "theories" or "reasonings" against them. I'm too like Hermione and I like Ron too much. Sometimes I've thought whether I'm her reincarnation, because who knows? maybe the HP story happened light years from now and she died in the battle ... (no?) In any case, they are one of the best couples in literature. Too many reasons as to list them here, I'm afraid. As you'll probably spot later, yes, I'm a fanfiction writer. I've always felt fond of writing; I'm an avid reader and I can proudly say that I haven't got any spelling mistakes in Spanish, which is my native language. I've always been shy, so I blushed before the idea of writing such a thing as fanfiction, but then I began reading some great fanfics, and one day an idea popped into my head and I said to myself, "Why not?" My first proper fanfiction was Despair and Shades, I wrote it in the last two sheets of the same notebook I was translating DH, but it took me a good while to give it a title and post it online. Most of my stories here have been posted somewhere else: Veritaserum Forums as DeSs, Deviantart as OtterAndTerrier and LiveJournal with the same nickname. I also like making graphics, a lot. UPDATES AND SUCH (NEW) Hi all :) Thanks a lot for stopping by to read or re-read my stories and for taking the time to review. Unfortunately, life is keeping me quite busy and I'm facing some minor personal problems, so I haven't had any time or inspiration to work on the next chapter of "The story of me, you and magic". However, my third year of college is almost done and I'll have less things on my mind. And so I'll start writing again! I'm truly honoured; thanks a lot for all your support! ► I got a lovely review for "Tales of the Strangers", from Ginger Rogers, and since it's anonymous, I'd like to thank her here and reply to something she asked: I'm afraid I won't ever (ever) write or translate my fanfics to Spanish, even though it is my first language and I could do it myself, for several reasons, but the main is that ever since I entered the realm of fandom, I can barely stand reading the books in Spanish (although I have to, I only have DH in English) and I've never been able to read fanfics in Spanish either. To me, language means a lot and once I saw the differences between the real Ron and the translated Ron, for example, it was hard to go back. Of course I don't intend to look down on all the great authors who write fanfic in their own languages--that's perfectly fine and righteous! But given that I can write, more or less, in English, that's what I do. And British English! :P ► (I find this very funny, but thought I should let you know) There aren't, and there won't be, any more chapters for "Tales of the Strangers"!
