Author has written 26 stories for Hogan's Heroes, StarTrek: The Original Series, and Jeepers Creepers.

Update as of April 9th, 2012

Wow, I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated my profile! I guess real life has been keeping me busier than I thought. I know I've gotten terribly behind in my reading, and I haven't had a chance to write much lately, either. But, with summer just around the corner, hopefully I'll have more free time soon. There are so many stories I haven't read yet that I want to catch up on!

Anyway, my name is Janet, and right now I'm living in Michigan. I re-discovered Hogan's Heroes in the spring of 2007, and fell totally in love with it! The characters are awesome; and the writing, especially the humor, is brilliant, IMHO. So when I stumbled upon the Hogan's Heroes Fanfiction site, I was hooked! There are so many incredibly talented writers here, and it has inspired me to try my hand at writing. I'm calling it my new hobby, although lately I think "obsession" would be a more accurate description! LOL

I won several Papa Bear Awards for 2009, and I am so incredibly honored. I don't think I could ever express my appreciation enough for those of you who, not only nominated my stories, but voted for them, as well. I have always wanted to write, but haven't had the courage to try it until recently. Thank you all so much, and I hope that you will continue to enjoy the stories I write, as much as I enjoy writing them!

The Bet: Silver Award for Best Slash Story (The very first story I ever wrote. I'm not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed!) LOL

Forget Me Not: Silver Award for Best General Story; Bronze Award for Best Portrayal of a Canon Character...Carter
And now that the voting is over, I would like to dedicate this story to my mom, who passed away while I was about halfway through writing it. She was the kindest, gentlest person I have ever known, and her faith was unshakable. She always encouraged me, and firmly believed that I could accomplish whatever I set my mind to. I miss her terribly, but I know she is with God now, and I will see her again.

A Friend in Need: Silver Award for Best Short Drama; Bronze Award for Best Portrayal of a Canon Character...Newkirk.

I also won many Papa Bear Awards for 2010; I thought I would list those here, as well.

Nightmares, Revisited: Bronze Award for Best Overall Story.

Last Night On Earth: Gold Award for Best Short Drama.

Love Potion Number Thirteen: Gold Award for Best Medium Comedy.

General Trouble: Bronze Award for Best Medium Comedy.

Only in my Nightmares: Bronze Award for Best Long Drama.

What Price Happiness?: Gold Award for Best Slash Story.

Wagner, from Caught in the Act: Gold Award for Best Portrayal of an Original Character.

Steiger, from Only in my Nightmares: Silver Award for Best Portrayal of an Original Character.

Bits and Pieces on Trial: Silver Award for Best Testimony in the Trial.

I won quite a few Papa Bear Awards for 2011:

All The Time In The World: Gold Award for Best Crossover.

Hand To Mouth: Silver Award for Best Crossover. Also, Silver Award for Best Quote.

A Hero Falls By The Way: Silver Award for Best Short Drama

Quiet Desperation: Silver Award for Best Slash Story.

Side Effects: Bronze Award for Best Canon Extra (Dubois).

I even won a few Papa Bear Awards for 2012!

Twilight Camp: Silver Award for Best Supernatural Story. (My son is so proud, and I'm so proud of him!)

Well You See, Sir, It Was Like This: Bronze Award for Best Short Comedy.

Hogan, P.I.: Bronze Award for Most Unique Story.

Once again, thank you all so very much!

Anyway, I thought I'd include some more info about myself, just in case anyone is interested (and if you're not, that's perfectly understandable!)

Bio: As far as my age; I'm older than I'd like to be! LOL I'm married, and my hubby of 20 years is in the US Navy (I'm former Navy, myself; that's how we met).

Favorite TV show: Right now, Hogan's Heroes.
Favorite character: Newkirk, obviously! :D

Favorite TV show of all time: Star Trek, The original series.

Favorite Movie: The Terminator. Favorite quote: When Sarah Connor is making a tape for John, and debating whether to tell him about his father, she says: "I suppose I will tell you; I owe him that. Maybe it'll help if you know that in the few hours we had together, we loved a lifetime's worth." (Gets to me every time!)

Favorite Comedy Movie: Geez, there's so many! I'd have to say it's a toss-up between "The 'Burbs" and "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." Favorite quote: In both cases, pretty much the whole movie! LOL

Favorite Author: Stephen King. Favorite book: The Stand.

Favorite Music: I like pretty much everything, although lately I've been rediscovering a lot of the music from the '70's and '80's.

Favorite Song: "You're My Best Friend", by Queen. (Because if I could write a song about how I feel about my hubby, this would be it.)

Misc. Personal Trivia: My dad served in WWII, in the US Army Air Corps, and was stationed on Christmas Island. He wasn't a flyer; he worked with codes or something like that (he was always a little vague about it.)

My hubby plays the Cello, and he's actually quite good! My favorite is "The Unaccompanied Cello Suites" by J.S. Bach. He plays those almost as well as Yo-Yo Ma (well, I think so, anyway!)

I've always considered myself an "Optimistic Pessimist"; that is, if I always expect the worst, then I can be pleasantly surprised when something good happens. Or would that make me a "Pessimistic Optimist?" (Where's Voltaire when you need him?) LOL

Let's see; anything else? I'm not offended easily, I welcome constructive criticism, I do want to continue to work on improving my writing skills, and I don't believe the Mayan prediction that the world's going to end on Dec. 21, 2012. (Okay, that was pretty random!) Oh, and I have a rather odd sense of humor; which, if you've read this far, you've probably already figured that out by now!

Anyway, that's probably more info than anyone really wanted to know! Just thought I'd put myself out there a little, in case anyone was curious.

And yeah, I have written some slash (guess I just like to "push the envelope" once in a while). But if that sort of thing isn't your "cup of tea", I won't be offended in the least if you choose not to read it.
