Author has written 6 stories for Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, and Harry Potter. Hey, everybody. I'm Fia. Things about me: I have graduated! This is accomplishment, really. Now if only I knew what to do with my life. My name really is Celtic even though I'm American. I prefer to be called Fia, except by my dad because he can actually pronounce my name and make it sound cool (the last name is fake, though). Things I go squee for: My tastes are incredibly eclectic. I was first introduced to manga by my sister, and FMA was the first anime I knew existed, simply due to my brother playing the video games. On this site, I started out reading Naruto fanfics, but then I discovered the wonders of writing within The Chronicles of Narnia movieverse, and it kind of expanded from there. Favorite manga: FMA (tops the list always), Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, Bitter Virgin, and a few shoujo ones that I read when my brain isn't up to anything else. Favorite anime: Sadly, I don't typically watch (or like) anime, but there are a few that I'm faithful to. FMA (I started out with the original series in English and pretty much fell in love with Mustang's English voice actor), Romeo x Juliet (also in English because I love Shakespeare), and Princess Tutu (with subtitles because it makes more sense that way). Favorite authors: (I was going to put books, but there would be way too many) Neil Gaiman, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, Ted Dekker, Mercedes Lackey, Sara Douglass, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Shakespeare (English major, what can I say?), Stephen Lawhead, and more that I cannot think of at the moment. Etc: I'm also a fan of DC comics (Batman being my favorite), X-men, Spiderman, Jet Li, Christian Bale, Firefly (and other Joss Wheedon stuff), Disney (I grew up during the Eisner Era, right when things were getting good again), and Shakespearean comedies. I am in love with fairy tales and folklore, doesn't matter where in the world they're from, and I love stories that combine history or mythology with plot or regular story-telling. Update: 5/8/12 I am late, but I am back with the next chapter of Doomed to Repeat. I think within half an hour of posting that, I had about 12 new reviews. I like when people like me. This chapter is a little longer than my standard ones for Doomed, but I really wanted to get back to Konoha with Kakashi and Sarutobi's suspicions and tense drama coming up. I am a sucker for dramas with mistaken identities and misunderstandings. It's why I love Shakespearean comedies so well. On a sadder note, I have now lost the USB key that I kept all my chapters of Doomed on. This is proof that I need to back up my work in two different places. Or just write things on my hard drive. Fortunately, I have all my brainstorming and outline of future scenes in a notebook on my desk. So, I can continue my going forward with future chapters just fine. I'm just a little upset that I've lost that entire USB key. I had other fanfiction ideas on that I would now have to restart from scratch if I still wanted to write them. So, sorry, but you guys probably won't get a Naruto AU high-school fanfiction about warring gang factions in a decaying city. 2/20/12 Good lord, I’m finished. My largest work on ff.net (not to mention my largest project in any realm to date) is finally completed. And it only took my two years of nearly consistent work. And now it is FINISHED! Yes, I feel good about myself. I wanted to purposefully leave a few questions open at the end of Nom de Guerre. I thought with the universe the characters live in, there’s really no guarantee that there will be no conflict from here on in. Plus, the story was really about Naruto’s death and how that affected Konoha and then his return and how that affected Konoha. So, I wanted to focus on that rather than some of the secondary characters (whom I nevertheless love very dearly). So, now I am finished with my first epic Naruto fanfiction work. I can already feel my brain demanding of me, “That wasn’t so hard, was it? Want to do it again? You know you do.” Meanwhile, my sanity is launching loud and desperate protests that go something like, “For the love of Pete, take a break!” So, you won’t see any new ambitious fanfiction projects from me for a while. Though I do have plans to update one chapter of Doomed to Repeat per month. After writing 10K or more every four weeks, a chapter of Doomed shouldn’t be too strenuous. Other than that, I am in my senior year of university and must focus on graduating. That and my Senior Honors Research is about to kick my butt. Wish me luck, and thanks for the ride so far! 1/28/12 I am supremely aware that some of the people who have been following Nom de Guerre may be displeased with my latest chapter, mostly because it's the only real cliff-hanger I think I put in the entire story. I was feeling very malicious by the time I got to the end. I did not take a whole lot of time explaining things in my usual Author's Note, so I thought I'd do so here. Someone asked me in a review what I was going to do with Sasuke and Danzo's battle, considering I ranted a bit about the crazy eyes and the Surprise!Hawk. I have left out the hawk contract, since I really couldn't find a way to justify it, but I left in most of the Sharingan tricks, with one surprise one of my own. As for Naruto, he finally uses his father's Hiraishin and manages to kill Orochimaru (yes, Sasuke, your actions are just overkill by now). But I have had this outcome of the final battle in mind since I came up with the idea for Kamikaze. I promise I am even now in the process of working on the next (and final) chapter of Nom de Guerre. So don't kill until I've posted that? Please? | |||||||
