To make this clear because I don't like typing this in my stories-- I do not own anything that I write about on this site because I didn't come up with the book and/or whatever else, nor do I profit from anything. (To me that seems positively redundant to have to tell people this because this is a site for people to write fanwork... ergo doesn't that imply that they didn't come up with the original idea?) Any original plot and original characters are mine and I would appreciate people not stealing them.

04/02/13- I've officially entered into my semester of student teaching at the high school level. If anyone would like to know I'm teaching Advanced Placement Macro Economics. I do not plan to update until AFTER MARCH. I've got my hands full teaching, planning, grading, and writing papers. I've already got the plot arc mapped out for chapter 15 of Antithesis, I just need enough time to sit down and write it down. The costs/benefits of working on my stories is too great at the moment. Please be patient. I plan to update sometimes after MARCH!!

Okay, so I've put Antithesis on hold, FOR NOW... For good reasons, among them being:STUDENT TEACHING!!

To answer a few questions: YES-- I will continue with this story, NO-- I won't be gone for long, just until I get a hold on all of this crap that's happening to me, YES-- I'm still working on Antithesis but only in short spurts, YES-- you can check my profile for further updates (I don't put up author's notes as "chapters")

Please be patient with me. I'm still gripped by my story telling and it will be told, slowly but surely.

I've got SO many stories bouncing around in my head it is SO difficult to keep on track with Antithesis. Got to keep strong... and carry on with that story that just won't quit! *

This is a story about Ildrianna, a new queen of Balinor, who has her destiny thrusted upon her. Banished beyond the Gap to 12th century Scotland, she meets Logen, a tall and rugged horse tamer and breeder who rescues her from the grips of death and winter frost. As she finds the remnants of her bonded unicorn's horn, she must convince Logen that she is not loony, but a rider of unicorns who must return to her homeland to make things right and confront her childhood friend and crush: Rhalluan. She must overcome her fears and triumph to the throne, while two men fight for her heart.

This is a story about a slave boy from Ren who survives a shoku, only to end up on the strange shores of Kan, China. There he is picked up by the government where he is thought to be a mentally unstable castaway. After being placed at a university to learn how to sign to communicate, he meets Ildiko, a strange young woman who has nightmares about his world. Together they become friends, sparks fly, but tensions rise as they discover more and more about each other. They are flung back into the world of Twelve Kingdoms to the decimated lands of Shun where Ildiko is declared queen by Shunki. But the road to the throne is fraught with peril and terror, can she survive the hardships? (Formerly titled: Disturbance to the North, Vanishing of the Moon)

Antithesis- (ON HOLD) Not your typical journey fic

This is a journey fic of Kendra as she sets off on her Pokémon journey in Unova. Plagued by dreams of clashing dragons and the destruction of her world, Kendra struggles with her growing destiny as a Hero as she begins to be an unwilling player on a broad game against her greatest rival, N. Both Heroes find each other to be their complete opposites but neither can deny the gravity that pulls them together through fate, lust, and love. As she falls for N she finds herself in a dangerous game fighting for her very existence.

Hey guys, BlackVelvett Revolver here.

I'm in my last few years of college, earning a teaching cert. with a B.A. for Social Studies. I adore history and my bookshelves are full to bursting with material. Sigh, too little time in the day. I've been writing since 7th grade and its always been for fun. I plan on one day writing a book. Already have two rough draft manuscripts. I also read a lot for pleasure. Favorite genres are fantasy, fiction, and historical fictions. I also like to play games. Currently knee deep in Dragon Age II and The Witcher. When I'm not doing those or stressing over homework I like to run. TT_TT I so need to get back into shape.

-ANYTHING I load onto this site is strictly for my pleasure and strictly exercise- nothing more and nothing less.

-DO expect me to TRY to respond to all reviews. It may take a few days.

-Updates may be few and far in between, but I try to do "dumps" where I upload four or five chapters throughout a week. They don't happen often.

I will try to get what I can done. No promises. I never hound authors who are too slow to upload. It's faster to read than to actually think, draft, type, spell check, refine, re-draft, refine, spell check, then FINALLY upload a new chapter. (At least I hope they go through that process) I appreciate and understand the effort put into writing. It doesn't just vomit from your fingers onto your screen (Hopefully! Though sometimes I wish it does).

Things I'm interested in writing something about: Unicorns of Balinor, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Twelve Kingdoms, StarCraft, Harvest Moon, Dragon Lance, AVP, Pokemon, Inuyasha, Charmed, StarGate-SG:1, Dragon Age, Portal, Red River

My writing style: I am very descriptive. Its the visual artist in me. I want to share what I envision. I like to romanticize. My chapters tend to be, on average, 16 pages long and no less than 10, though lately I've been closer to 30 (eep!). I would rather read one post of a long chapter than several posts of short chapters- I don't like being interrupted by clicking the next button. (Which is why I can't stand James Patterson books)

Profiles: I like profiles that have a lot in them, in fact I adore them. You get to know about the writer and their thoughts, what other things they're in to, whether or not they have a sense of humor. XD

One-shots & Song Fics: I HATE THEM! Try and convince me otherwise. I also hate really low word counts. I've come across 54 chapter stories that have a word count of LESS than 20,000. WTF?! Or I've been called out on having three in-complete stories while this other person had 27. ALL 27 were one-shots with less than 2,000 words. Ugh!! Drives me crazy!!

Copy/Paste to Profile: I find them unoriginal and add nothing but clutter. "If X, Y, Z applies to YOU, COPY/PASTE to YOUR profile :)"-- Yeah, no.
