“That’s none of your business,” she snapped.

“Oh-ho-ho,” he was clearly growing amused. “Don’t tell me our Anzu went out and got herself a little secret boyfriend.”

“Knock it off.”

“Please, do tell. Who is this mystery man?”

Anzu grinned evily, and glanced over at her driver, “Kaiba Seto.”

Dead silence. She smiled victoriously, before her friend finally collected his wits to reply,

“Spend one day working with the bastard and you’re already getting cozy? Anzu, I’m disappointed.”

“Shut up,” she commanded. “It’s not as though I had a choice in the matter.”

Despite his serious demeanor, life with a playfully witty wife had drawn Heiji’s own sense of humor out of him. Together, they enjoyed nothing more than good-naturedly teasing their teenaged daughter, and Anzu had grown accustomed to her father’s dry remarks paired with an unflinchingly deadpan countenance.

She barely glanced up from the society page she was looking over, “I’m having his love child.” (Spectrum by AudibleHush)

She studied him with equal seriousness, “You shaved your mustache.”

“Your mother was right to advise against excessive facial hair. Wood chips kept getting stuck in it.” He swung the conversation back on track, “Expecting an early morning caller?”

“Just the father of my child and his paper cart. Don’t carpenters, as a general rule, wear their wood chips with pride?”

“Not this carpenter. Lose a bet?”

“Not lately.”

Heiji pressed forward, “Had a sudden, uncontrollable desire to see the sunrise?”

“No.”

“Dance, Ronald.” A fuzzy leg pushed him, and he clattered back. This was going splendidly. Except for the part where it wasn't. “Dance.”

Everyone went quiet and stared at the two with sudden suspicion.

“Well...I was wondering...How are babies made?” Mokuba asked with round eyes. Yami’s lips twitched, then he cleared his throat and gestured him to the table, sitting across from Seto Kaiba’s little brother.

“Alright, Mokuba, listen closely...”

(Ten minutes later)

“(OO’’) Whoa...Really?” Mokuba asked, his eyes popping out of his skull. Yami nodded solemnly. “So...What does it mean when a man is ‘romping’ a woman?”

“Oh, that means he’s screwing her from behind,” the Pharaoh answered wisely, nodding. Mokuba seemed to look very thoughtful.

“You know, since Anzu’s single, I might have a chance with her. No one’s gone all the way with her, huh?”

“(oO) Um, what?”

“Think about it,” Mokuba held up nine fingers. “I’m nine and she’s sixteen. There’s only a seven year difference, so it’s not that bad!” Yami gaped at him, unable to speak.

“Uh...” Yami rubbed the back of his head, looking nervous. “Listen, Mokuba, the thing is...” He cleared his throat. “Well, the thing is...” How do you explain such a thing to a nine-year-old? “The thing is, your brother wants to have her for himself.”

“What do you mean?” Mokuba asked.

“Allow me to demonstrate.” Yami took a donut and hot dog from the fridge and held them up. “The donut is Anzu, the hotdog is Kaiba.” He slid the hotdog in the donut multiple times, making Mokuba’s eyes become wide once again. “You see?”

“...So what you’re saying...Is that I have to fight Seto for Anzu?”

“(-.-) I’m saying that, no matter what, they’ll end up together.” He dropped the food and jumped on the table, making Mokuba jerk in surprise. “BUT HE’LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME FIRST! HAHAHAHA!”

“Damn right you did!” Marik snapped as Malik bound to his feet, going beside the two. The bear came in sight, glaring down at them, stumbling on its hind legs. “Die, you infernal being!”

“What’d you just call me?”

“Did you just call me an infernal being, fool?”

“Marik...I think the bear’s talking to you,” Malik whispered, eyes wide.

“Yeah, so do I. Maybe it’s just the pot taking effect, though.”

“I don’t...I don’t think so.”

“Stop stalling!” Bakura snapped at the bear. “We know that bears can’t talk.” The bear frowned at him – or at least, that’s what they thought it was doing.

“Oh, yeah? Maybe we just didn’t want to talk to mother-screwing assholes? Did you ever consider that?” The bear demanded.

“Once or twice, yes,” Malik muttered under his breath. Marik smacked him across the head. “What the hell was that for?”

“For conversing with the enemy!” Marik snapped.

“Then answer this: why did you attack us last night?” Bakura asked the bear cynically. Sighing, the bear flopped down on his behind.

“Well, I woke up from hibernation to smell pot and I found that it was in your guys’ pockets.” The bear explained moodily.

“(o.o) Oh...That’s all?”

“Yeah, basically.”

“...Damn!” Bakura took out a baggy from his pocket and threw it to the bear. “Take it and if you come after us again, I’ll kill you.”

“Cool.” The bear took the baggy in its mouth and as soon as he was turned, Bakura shot him.

“Bakura...” Malik sighed, shaking his head.

“You actually think I was going to give it up that easily? Pff, you’re more of an idiot than I thought.” Bakura took his baggy and motioned to them. “Alright, let’s go.” (Christmas With MY Enemies by DIS.)

“If you know me as well as you claim to,” Seto replied, “Then you should be fully aware of the fact that I never sleep in.”

“I know you well enough to be sure that you’d never admit to it.”

He glared down at her smugly beaming countenance and with a curt nod, moved to brush past her, “I don’t have time for this.”

“Right,” she agreed, “On account of oversleeping and all.”

“No,” he corrected her, unwilling to leave the matter unresolved, “I don’t have time for this because I am a busy man with obligations and responsibilities your pathetic teenybopper brain couldn’t begin to fathom.”
