Author has written 9 stories for Darkness, Final Fantasy VII, Fight Club, and Harry Potter. Truthfully, I generally don't consider myself a writer of fanfiction. The thought of using other people's characters and severely ruining them is not something I like to dwell on and/or consider. So just know that I make no claim that I am actually good at writing fanfiction or using the characters as was intended. It took me years to build up enough confidence to try and write something on here. Honestly, I've been reading fanfiction on here for quite awhile, I just never could picture myself getting out a story for myself. I think writers are suited to write particular things, i.e. horror or even a certain fandom. And other times we can misjudge our own talents and write for something that we may not be...great at writing. But really, I think that's all part of becoming a better writer, which is precisely why I'm here. I just wanted a way to finally get some feedback on what I write, whether it's good or bad, mean or friendly. It's all helpful as far as I'm concerned. I'm currently writing a novel (have been for two years), so I guess I can say getting published someday would be great, if it ends up being that storyline, or even some of my philosophical writing. But unfortunately, I'm really not a goal-oriented person, I'm more of a drifter, so I really don't know what the future holds for me. While I'm here, I plan to fully abuse my right to write for just about anything, even fandoms I know I'm going to be terrible at. I love to test out different styles and try my hand at using different characters that normally wouldn't have been people I'd be interested in writing about. Writing is one of the greatest tools to me; it lets me toy with lives that aren't my own and see where those mistakes take the characters. I like to think of it as a way to try out a life I will never have the oppotunity to live. Consider it a form of ego stroking, if you will. Currently, Embracing the Darkness in on hold. Indefinitely. I'm at the point where I don't even know if I'll ever get around to finishing it. Totally ran out of steam on that one. About CBND: 11-28-08 My computer crashed. I did almost have a chapter completed, but that's all down the toilet. I'm not sure when I'll get around to writing it over. I still do very much want to complete the story, however, and the fact that some of you still send messages encouraging me is absolutely amazing. I bought a PSP and am playing CC, so I am definitely getting into the mood to maybe try at it again. I really do hope I can finish it someday. | |||||||
