Mom always said, "you're not right!" She had no idea.

I'm a total geek, been reading voraciously since before I could remember. Blame mom for making it sci-fi and allowing us to blow our money on comics growing up. I still collect, but not nearly as many titles.

I also collect and customize action figures. These days, it's mostly the superheroes (various DC/Marvel lines), but I still pick up the occasional GI Joe, Transformer, or random figure. and HEROES. (ok, they're mostly LPS's, but the likenesses are pretty spot on. but seriously, Molly is a colored lump of plastic? only ONE poa?? wtf, Mezco?)

I also write. Used to have notebooks full of stuff (don't ask), but finally switched to computer some time back. Of course, most of those are locked in a dead hard drive that I really need to see about getting fixed without erasing them.

My sister has done some research into genealogy. Turns out mom has famous people all over the place, including a lot of royalty...and W. On the creative side, we have artists, musicians (Jimi! and supposedly Elvis? meaning briefly MJ by marriage), inventors (Wright Bros), and tons of writers, from cousin Samuel "Mark Twain" Clemens, to Uncle James Barrie (1 sister is a grt-grandmother, Ogilvy side), to Great-Grampa Geoffrey Chaucer (yep, the nekkid guy in Heath's film, A Knight's Tale), among others. Oh, and a couple guys who signed some "Declaration" or other.

I used to be a co-moderator at FansofJohnGoodman, until the owner, Bob P/filmbear, took it down for "repairs and updates" and I haven't heard anything from him about putting it back up, since. (There was another co-mod, in S.America, and I was the only straight guy. o_kay?) Yahoo group is still up, according to the monthly email. I've only met Boss in passing and had a brief email conversation with him. I do monitor his IMDb page, so if you're an ass there, it's probably me who got your "comment" deleted. No, I will not give you any way to personally contact the big guy. I do respect his privacy.

I found out in 2007, after mom's sudden passing from ovarian cancer, that I have Lupus. The doctor was a total ass, and ignored 98 percent of what I told him, so I no longer see him. (He was FIFTH office I stopped at that day, and they "just happen to have an opening this afternoon." gee, I wonder why.) I live with it, but I don't let it define me any more than wearing glasses does. UPDATE: as of June 2011, I have been reclassified as 714.31 aka Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is what I told first doctor in the first place! GGGRRRR!!!!!

I've been writing a lot about HEROES of late, and tend to focus on Matt. There's probably a couple reasons for that. My father was on the Force for thirty years. (We don't get along, but I respect the job, esp after recent tragedies to his former Department.) I have somehow wound up as Grunny's #12 (#11 now?) on MySpace. Either he (or his moderator) took a shine to me during the WGA strike (I was one of the early strike supporters on his page and put in his top 40, kept after strike and he dropped to 12), or I've somehow become a "poster child" of sorts for Lupus. He supports a number of charities, like his son, Jake's Epilepsy, and I guess by putting me in his Top, he can also show support for one more? I dunno. I've asked, but never got an answer. yet.

btw, if you're looking for a good, REAL-LIFE scare, check out Steven LaChance's "The Uninvited: The True Story of the Union Screaming House", available on Amazon. He's a friend of my aunt, and I didn't realize I moved into a place a few blocks from the actual house in 2007. This is the same place as profiled on Discovery's "A Haunting: Fear House". (and he was worried about spreading the entity's influence with his book! gee, thanks, Steve!) "CRAZY" came out in 2010, and is wrapping up "AFTERSHOCK". He has also released "The Morse Mill Project" dvd (also available on Amazon) about Missouri's (and the US's) first recognized Female Serial Killer, Bertha Gifford. The hotel where she worked at in Morse Mill, Missouri has such an interesting history, past residents still stay there. Or should I say "passed residents"? Show them respect and they may play with you. Disrespect them and get tossed around like the +300# guy did in front of his friends by an invisible entity.

HEROES: Volume 5 - Brave New World
Claire's revelation has resulted in unexpected reactions across the globe, endangering some, and keeping a public profile may be the only safe place for others as Specials suddenly go missing. Who is abducting them and for what reason? who can be trusted? The only thing Angela Petrelli will reveal is in order for the others to survive, "Matt Parkman must die."

(The first 5+ chapters were written spring 2010 and sat for over a year before I posted them, which got the juices flowing for the next chapter. I know where I'm going, but don't have much time to write it at the moment. urgh!)

DOCTOR WHO:

I started writing this BEFORE s5 with Matt Smith started, which is 90% of the reason I began with a new Regeneration. I had NO IDEA they were modifying the TARDIS interior to match mine that closely! HONEST!

Albion p1 - Jack talks the Doctor into treating Gwen and Rhys on a trip for their anniversary, but they get waylaid into a parallel Earth, where he is forced to regenerate. They soon come face to face with lost loved ones and an ancient evil who knows them all intimately.

Barcelona p2 - The Doctor and his new Companion fall into the scheme of a mystery man who happens to look like the Doctor. They also must deal with a certain blonde who has accepted a contract on this man, dead or alive, leading them all to a date with destiny involving many of the Doctor's friends. But are they all being manipulated by other forces?
