I am a twenty-one-year-old who works in a medical laboratory as a specimen processing tech (glorified title for the person who pours off specimens and initially prepares them for testing--i.e. the dirty work) where the banes of my existence are leaky urine cups and staples, among other things. I attend university, officially majoring in film, though doubling in pre-med with the possibility of going into forensic pathology (which I have wanted to do since I was seven because of The X-Files). And I would not mind being a novelist, for that matter... I have widely varying interests, no?
I live for music--listening to most genres. Here's a small taste of my favorites: Dave Matthews Band, Pete Yorn (yes, before Nightcrawler), Blue October (and yes, before Foiled and Hate Me), Journey, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Rod Stewart, Queen, Pat Green, Pink Floyd, Crowded House, Travis, Ryan Adams, Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits, Phil Collins/Genesis, Sting/The Police, Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, George Strait, Jo Dee Messina, Blue Oyster Cult, HIM, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Jack's Mannequin, Shelby Lynne, Bic Runga. ~sighs~ tons of others. I listen to the good stuff--you can count on that. Check out my myspace and you'll find a (fairly substantial) list of only a fraction of the artists I love. And I mean a fraction!
I'm also a TV junkie, so here are some of the shows I am obsessed with at the moment: House, MD; Bones; Psych; Wire in the Blood; Doctor Who; Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations; MythBusters; Numb3rs; Grey's Anatomy; Crossing Jordan; Criminal Minds; My Name Is Earl; The Office (the original and American); CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (however, being an avid Liev Schreiber fan, I am in mourning over Keppler--I loved him! In my deluded little bubble he didn't die and is living happily with Catherine...obviously I'm a Catherine/Keppler fan, and, strangely, because of that I am now sort of a Catherine/Nick fan...I was a Cath/Gil fan, so yes, I loathe the Grissom/Sara pairing); Men in Trees; Lost...and probably about twenty others. I'm a television whore, what can I say?
Some of my all-time favorite old-school shoes are as follows: The X-Files (my first-ever obsession at the age of seven); MASH; Seinfeld; Northern Exposure; Quantum Leap; Due South; The Commish.

As of right now I have two fics in the works that are slowly becoming epics, one for House and one for Harry Potter. Both involve OC pairings (hopefully neither Mary Sues) focusing on House and Snape--with all the snark you can handle because, lets face it, I love snarky bastards! But before anything, I plan to post one for CSI involving, you guessed it, Catherine and Keppler. I'm still deciding whether or not to make it AU...so we'll see. And at some point I plan on having a humorous House/The X-Files/Lost crossover, but that's a long way down the road!
