Author has written 4 stories for Twilight. Thanks for your interest. Here's a little background on how these stories came to be: "Faith Precedes the Miracle" began as a "one-shot" and was really just a single scene exercise in elaborative creativity (using a dialogue template adapted from p. 325 of Breaking Dawn). I found myself longing for an alternate (or perhaps just an enhanced) storyline; I needed to feel the love firsthand (not through Jacob's eyes), particularly at such a critical time in the story. I'm not a professional writer, but it was important enough to me that I actually put pen to paper and wrote another version. "Anticipation" came about, quite honestly, because I couldn't get the characters out of my head; it was almost as if I had no choice but to continue writing my version of their love story. My personal favorite of the three, "Hope on the Horizon," was a gift for my tween daughter, who loves the saga as much as I do; I wanted the birth of Edward and Bella's daughter to be meaningful for her (rather than cause her nightmares). So, I sacrificed sleep to write (hence, the username), but I have to admit that these sequences were never intended to become "fanfiction." They were only ever meant to be seen by my daughter's eyes and then discretely tucked away inside my own copy of Breaking Dawn. (My daughter shared them with a friend, who shared them with her mother, and word sort of spread from there.) It was actually under considerable duress that these stories were posted online at all. But now that they have been, I hope you'll enjoy them. If they're as meaningful to even one person as they are to my daughter and I (and the friends who convinced me to share them), I suppose it will have been worth the effort. Note: Since many of you have requested that I continue writing (thanks for your kind reviews!), I've recently begun a sequel entitled, "From Here to Eternity." It picks up where the third story in this little trilogy leaves off. I'll keep posting chapters as long as there's interest...so, please read and review! Thanks, again! :) "Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars--points of light and reason. . . And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brillancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything was black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything." --Edward Cullen | |||||||||
