Author has written 13 stories for Shadow of the Colossus, Fire Emblem, Castlevania, Lost In Blue, Harvest Moon, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Well, I thought it was about time to update my profile since it's been the same way for a really long time. First thing I decided to change was my avy. This was a picture I got out of a newspaper caption contest. This is a sea lion named Leon who decided to get some sleep before he had to perform. And seeing as I love seals and other marine animals, I thought he'd be perfect for me. Besides, who wouldn't love a face like that? There's nothing quite like a smiling seal.

So it's the new year. Where does time go I wonder? I'd like someone to find it and tell it slow down a bit. :P

Bit About Me:

I was born in a little log cabin in Kentucky...oh wait, that's Abraham Lincoln...

If you're wondering where I got my name, it's a combination of my ACC name, SeaLion, and my Nsider2 name, Freelancer. If you know me on either, hey send me a PT or PM.

Obviously, from the name, I love seal and sea lions. If I could, I'd pet one, but I'd never get close enough to do it.

I'm also a writer, well amature. I plan to write something really big someday. Until then I write fan fiction just to stay sharp. My first fan fic was a Star Wars based fic, but I think I've done a lot better since then. Still, I had the knack for stories even then. They were rough and crude, but planned. I hate to blow my own my horn, but it's hard not to.

I'm a video game freak. I've got a collection starting with the Sega Genesis all the way up to the Wii. I haven't even gotten into the handhelds yet. Counting those games, I own 100. Bet there are people out there who can beat me. I prefer action/platformers like Mario and Sonic, but I like a variety ranging from The Legend of Zelda and RPGs like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem (my two favorites) to do-nothing simulations like The Sims 2 and business sims like Zoo Tycoon. My ultimate seal of approval for a game, or anything really, is if I can come up with a fan fic for it. What can I say? If I like it, I want to continue it.

My other hobby is LEGOs. I've got a huge collection, including the second-biggest set of all: the Death Star II. When I got it, I had bragging rights to owning the biggest LEGO set made...then they made another one.

I like music too. I'm a bit of an oldie when it comes to music. I was born and raised on the 50's, 60's and 70's. Heck, I think I'm one of the few people my age who's even heard of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. I've even seen him in concert twice. I even shook his hand. That's not to say I don't like anything modern. I like a few things by Kelly Clarkson and Natasha Bedingfield; Unwritten is one of my favorties. And if you think that makes me weird for listening to them, that's your business. I may be a guy, but that doesn't mean I can't like them. Mostly, I find inspiration in those songs. Songs can be used to bookmark a lot of things, from characters to plots even how a character might feel.

I haven't had much time for a lot of my hobbies since I started going to college. When I'm not in class or studying, I don't want to do anything. But somehow I manage to buckle down and do some writing.

My Fan Fic Work:

Chapter'ed Stories

The Twin Blades
This was my very first story, although it was in quite a different form than the one seen here. I decided to take it down and repost it some time ago, now it's The Twin Blades Saga. Even though the story has really changed a lot from when it first began, it'll always be the first one in my book. This is my highest priority story.

Life Beyond the Shadow
Shortly after I began the original Blades, I started writing this one. I freely admit that I never played Shadow of the Colossus, but the game sounded so vague in the details that I just couldn't but wonder what if I could still write for it. This story has really grown and taken some unexpected turns along the way, and getting there has been really exciting as a writer. Besides Blades, this story really takes priority for me. Plus, it doesn't seem too hard to jump from one world to the other.

The Winter Trials
While certainly a late comer, I still found this an interesting story to work on. Of all my ideas, I thought this had to be my most hair-brained. This holds the distinction of being the only chapter'ed story I have that has ever been completed.

The Life After the Blue
For the fans who enjoy this, I'm really sorry I've kept you waiting for so long, and I'm even more sorry to keep you waiting some more. Rest assured, I don't plan on abandoning this story, but it's not high on my list right now. Plus, it's just tough to move my style of writing up a few centuries.

Living For Her
I had heard of this type of challenge where one tries to write a story with each chapter centered on one of the five senses. I really thought that it would be ideal for Shadow, since I figure he'd have to do the living for Maria. But from the looks of my reviews, maybe I was wrong.

Funny Quotes:

This section is for those quotes that I found just plain funny and in some cases, my thoughts on them. It's small for now, but I'm sure it'll grow.

"Come back later...I am sleeping. (Yes, cookies need their sleep, too)" - Fortune Cookie
(I'm serious, that was in an actual fortune cookie)

"Looks like Hootie ate the Blowfish." - Host of Wipeout.

"Women know what men want. Men know what men want." - Jerry Seinfeld
(Yeah, it was scripted, but just the way he says it. I'd like to see if it's actually true though)

"Am I gone? Yes, you are." - AFV Host
(There was a sign on a funeral home that read, believe it or not, Amigone Funeral Home. I wonder if they planned it that way or if it was just someone's idea of a joke.)

"Fear the bug!" - Mantis
(Yeah, that sounds very intimidating, but I guess it's better than what I thought he said: I'm the bug)

"These...are birds." - Evan Baxter
(I believe we have a word for this: DUH)

"A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." - Gandalf
(I find it funny because he'll eat those words later.)

If you believe in Jesus Christ put this in your profile and don't just ignore this, because in the Bible it says if you deny me, I will deny you in front of my Father in the gates of Heaven.

There are many ways I could say this, but I'd say the words spoken by my friend DM say it better than I ever could. I seem to be a person of words, but it's of words that don't count. These words on the other hand do count.

The Most Important Decision of Your Life
I have seen people in my life that hate their own; whether it’s because of abuse, indulgence, or even just depression, people become miserable. You feel like your life is worthless, and that you have no purpose.
But you’re lying to yourself. All purpose, satisfaction, and joy can be discovered with a life-changing decision. A decision that will change your future and the course your life will take.
This is the story behind that decision:

1. God’s plan for man was simple: Have an earth that will praise Him and glorify His Name.
2. But man rebelled, and corruption was spread across earth, severing God’s holy relationship with man.
3. Because God and man were no longer connected, man could not receive God’s blessing, and must be punished.
4. To repair His relationship with His creation, God himself became a man and sacrificed Himself, taking man’s punishment upon Himself, Jesus Christ, so that man may remain with God after death.
5. Because He had power over death, He was able to arise from the grave. He was the only one who could take mankind’s punishment.

This is God’s free gift to man. All that is needed are three things: Confession, Acceptance, and Repentance.
God wishes that man will confess to Him that they have sinned, and ask Him to forgive them.
For God to forgive you, you must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He sacrificed Himself for you, and that He rose again. You must then accept Him into your heart so that He may change your life.
Last is repentance. You must repent and change your life, so that He may use it for His will. He wants you to serve Him, and love Him, and have a relationship with Him.
Telling God these things is the most important thing you will ever do. It will mean the difference between eternal condemnation or eternal paradise with God. There are no magic words you must say. It is merely a conversation with God, like a conversation with your best friend. He loves you, and He wants to make you His own.

If you have any questions on the Most Important Decision, or anything else about your walk with God, feel free to PT me. I would love to help you find rest and relief in Him.

I pray that you make this decision to accept Him, and make Him the center of your life. It is truly life-changing. If you already know Him, or just have, please put this passage in your profile, that others may come to know Him as well.

Oh, and by the way, if you ask me to read your work, I'd appreciate it if you read some of mine. In the words of Gollum, we be nice to them if they be nice to us. Even if you just review my work, I'll check out your lists to see if there's anything I'd be into. I won't lie, I won't read something unless I've played it, seen it, or understand enough. I'd probably be confused otherwise even after you explained it.

That's all for now. See ya 'round the boards.
