I started writing fan fiction in the early eighties -- at the time it was Star Trek: TOS. Back then, my stories were published in fanzines, this being before the internet.

A decade later, a certain sleepjumper and his band of friends inspired me to dream terrian dreams and put three fingers and a thumb to the keyboard once again. I was fortunate to be fully immersed in the Earth2 fandom from the beginning, spending late nights chatting with fans, the cast and crew; participating on mailing lists; fighting the good fight for renewal; chatting personally with Preston Beckman when the awful yet merciful choice needed to be made; and so it goes. Throughout it all, we wrote -- for G889 had so many stories left to tell.

As far as my writing: I prefer ensemble stories but my favorite characters get more than their share of the spotlight -- of course, with the rich characters Flint & Co. gave us, they all demand attention and often write the scenes for me. I am not much of a "shipper" but really enjoy the interplay of the various characters; especially exploring the less obvious relationships within our group. I also am fascinated by the terrians and the dreamplane, which leads to trouble for Alonzo in many of my tales. I am a writer of scenes, then a weaver of a tale -- I have proven to be totally incapable of writing linearly, instead writing the stronger scenes then piecing the story together. I only post completed stories -- I feel it is unfair to any fan, but especially an Earth2 fan, who has endured the most horrifying cliffhanger, to be cavalier about their investment in time and emotion when they give my story the gift of their attention. I am also a stickler for "canon" and consider AU to mainly be an excuse for sloppiness.

G889 is a special place -- a place where magic happens!

While I still have a few unfinished Earth2 stories on my hard drive, I have recently begun writing NCIS stories. The fun camaraderie in the midst of a job fraught with danger and the horrors of what man can do to man with this quirky accidental family just resonate so much with me, when the NCIS Big Bang was announced, I just had to jump in! Besides, with the canon Whump!Tony, Poppabear!Gibbs and the rest of the crazy crew, how could I refuse such neat characters?!
