Author has written 1 story for Ranma.

This is just a space for me to experiment with writing and maybe get a few ideas on "paper"; don't expect anything quality, and definitely don't expect regular updates.

Favorite series include:

ミントな僕ら (Mint na Bokura), 姫ちゃんのリボン (Hime-chan's Ribbon), メタモ キス (Metamo Kiss), ウルトラマニアック (Ultra Maniac - manga version), らんま½ (Ranma ½), かりん (Karin), 美少女戦士セーラームーン (Sailor Moon - both versions), 銀盤カレイドスコープ (Ginban Kaleidoscope), 神秘の世界エルハザード (El-Hazard: The Magnificent World), Amakusa 1637, Avatar: The Last Airbender;

The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Sherlock Holmes, Mairelon the Magician (& sequel), Elemental Masters, Stravaganza, Ella Enchanted, The Wheel of Time (first book only), The Chronicles of Amber, The Book of Three, Young Wizards, The Princess Bride.

Rants

Ranma ½: Actually, most of what I have to say here is covered by Trimatter's excellent one-shot parody In the Lunchroom.

I consider 'canon' to be the manga, not the anime.

Umi-sen-ken (sea-thousand-fist): A fighting style, not an invisibility technique. Its unique stance hides the user from the 'sixth sense' common to martial artists, NOT from normal vision.

Fun Fact: Jusenkyo's name is actually a pun. Takahashi combined 呪(ju), 'curse', with 温泉郷(onsenkyou), a group of hot springs, to get 呪泉郷(jusenkyou), a group of cursed springs. PS It is not pronounced 'Juusenkyou'.

Sailor Moon: The anime is the source of many, many Sailor Moon myths. Here's a few.

FANON: 'Sailor Senshi' is a hereditary position (usually, but not always, mother-to-daughter within the royal families of each planet).
ANIME CANON: Ambiguous.
MANGA CANON: Sailor Senshi derive their powers from the unique Sailor Crystals (special star seeds) they were born with. (This is also why there is no Sailor Earth, since Tuxedo Mask bears the Sailor Crystal of Earth, the Golden Crystal.)

FANON: Mamoru is a college student.
ANIME CANON: Mamoru is a college student.
MANGA CANON: Mamoru is a 2nd year high school student (i.e. 11th grade). ("I am a respectable high school student." – Sailor Moon volume 1 p102)

FANON: Sailor Senshi have a magical disguise field that prevents them from being recognized by anyone who has not seen them transform.
ANIME CANON: Evidence seems to support the disguise field. (Sailor Moon and her friends do not recognize Sailor Venus's civilian form. – Sailor Moon anime season 1 episode 34)
MANGA CANON: There is no disguise field. (Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen recognize each others' civilian forms, and Sailor Moon recognizes Sailor Uranus's civilian form even though she thinks Haruka is a guy. – Sailor Moon volume 1 pp103-4; Sailor Moon #22 p30-31)

FANON: The planetary Sailor Senshi, led by Sailor Moon, form a single team.
ANIME CANON: Sailor Moon's team includes her four Guardian Senshi and Sailor Chibi Moon. It does not include the three Sailor Senshi Of The Outer Solar System.
MANGA CANON: Sailor Moon's team includes her four Guardian Senshi. It does not include the three Sailor Senshi Of The Outer Solar System.

FANON: Sailor Saturn is the most powerful Sailor Senshi.
ANIME CANON: Sailor Saturn is the most powerful Sailor Senshi.
MANGA CANON: Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal is the most powerful Sailor Crystal in the galaxy. (Sailor Moon Stars)

P.S. 「せんし」 ('Senshi') is a japanese word meaning 'soldier'. It does not by itself mean 'Sailor Senshi'.

Name Suffixes

Improper use of name suffixes is something I run into everywhere in fanfiction, and it really gets on my nerves. Use it right or don't use it at all.

My pet peeve in this context is the use of the suffix 「ちゃん」 ('-chan') as if it were an all purpose suffix for girls. '-chan' is a more endearing / familiar version of 「さん」 ('-san'). While it is used for girls far more often than for boys, it is inherently genderless. For example:
In Sailor Moon, Usagi uses it for Mamoru.
In 神秘の世界エルハザード (El-Hazard: The Magnificent World and its spin-off, Nanami refers to Makoto this way.
In らんま½ (Ranma ½), Nabiki uses it to irritate Kunou.
There are many other examples, and I'm sure you can think of a few yourself. (Hint: there's another one in らんま½ which even the authors I'm ranting at use.)

The only gender-related name suffix is 「くん」 ('-kun'), a more colloquial version of '-san' used to refer to boys of equal social position or anyone (boy or girl) of lower social position.

No suffix at all is far more casual and informal in Japan than here in the US (thus explaining Kunou's annoyance when Ranma uses it). However, it is almost always used when the speaker is referring to a younger member of their own family (ex. Kasumi, when referring to Akane, does not use a name suffix).

If any of this is wrong, please let me know.

Updates: 25 Oct 2009

Ranma S/I (Ranma ½ divergence; Sailor Moon AU): Dead. I may someday rewrite it in a way that is not s/i. However, it is more likely I will just move a few concepts to a different story.

Memories (Sailor Moon AU): This story came out of the idea that Sailor Earth shouldn't exist (see Sailor Moon rant, above). However, I tried to stuff too many unrelated ideas in. I will be re-writing it from scratch if I ever get back to it, and I will make it a lot less complex.

The Adventures of Hibiki Ryouga (fusion of Ranma ½ AU / Chronicles of Amber; various x-overs): Scrapped. I may revive the original concept at some point. Fun Fact: Originally, this Ryouga was a character in Memories. I thought the idea was cool enough to warrant its own story.

Dimension Trek (original story): Lt. Commander Derric Smith, mage of the Crystal Empire,... I haven't thought up much of the actual story yet, or even a good title. Originally a major character in Ranma S/I.

I don't spend much time working on my stories, so try not to expect any updates, much less regular updates.

If you love reading profiles with tons of copy and paste stuff but don't want it cluttering your own profile, copy and paste this into your profile.

This is a story about God. Read if you believe in him, and read even if you don't.

A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98 percent of teenagers will not stand up for God, and 93 percent of the people that read this won’t repost it?

Repost this if you truly believe in God. God bless you.
