Author has written 5 stories for Sherlock Holmes. I suppose I should start with the usual description, since at the moment I'm not imaginative enough to come up with anything else: College student, 18, female, Traditional Catholic. I love nearly all Romantic era/classical literature, and opera... I grew up in a somewhat rural area watching old classical movies and some BBC, listening to classical music, and reading classical novels. I also daydream more than is healthy. I haven't the slightest interests in the latest trends or media, and generally don't fit into modern day society at all... I'm not especially talented in writing, but often feel that I could write better if I applied myself more (ah, but how true that is for everyone in everything!).My many vices include "over-describing", excessive use of ellipses and commas, sloppy spelling, and plot incongruous-ness. Still, I have a certain amount of self esteem in knowing that my thoughts are uniquely my own, and that no one can express them in the same tortured way that I can. Well, that's about it, I guess. Feel free to PM me if you would like to engage in a discussion of You-Know-Who... or Rathbone or Brett... or simply contemplate the philosophy of life in general. Having now undoubtedly led you to question my mental stability, I leave you with a quote from my hero. "What a lovely thing a rose is... Our highest assurance of the goodness of Providence seems to me to rest in the flowers. All other things, our powers, our desires, our food, are all really necessary for our existence in the first instance. But this rose is an extra. Its smell and its colour are an embellishment of life, not a condition of it. It is only goodness which gives extras, and so I say again that we have much to hope from the flowers" -Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Adventure of the Naval Treaty Thank you, Mr. Arthur Conan Doyle for creating such a character, helping me to preserve my sanity somewhat, or did you perhaps take it away...? | |||||||
