Author has written 2 stories for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Hullo, I'm Sparrow Townshend and I'm a mod. I enjoy film-going, long quadrophenic walks on the beach, and picross. Seeking sharp dresser with tailored suit and scooter who-

Oh wait, this isn't my personals ad...

Yes, I'm Sparrow. I'm not much of a fandom person (though I certainly was in a previous existence), but via a reluctant-yet-enjoyable addiction to the Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney series through my friend Super Sheba, I have come back to the writing of fanfiction.
I'm a mod existential (most of the time).
As for writing, most of what I do is parody, articles, film reviews/essays (all on my blog) and my ill-fated dystopia novel that I'm working on... (don't do that whole "you workin' on that novel?" Family Guy bit, please T_T;) I also draw comics and artwork sometimes. I play electric bass. I speak Japanese. I have a large collection of playing cards and red modernist items.
You can read my blog at http://reccaphoenix.wordpress.com; it quite frequently features film parody and manga-related posts, in addition to my film reviews and essays. The blog is also equipped with a cocktail lounge, water beds, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, and a complimentary 8-track player with a selection of modern, sleek bachelor pad music included in the nearby minibar (chilled for extra smoothness). You can also read my blog about Disney's Latin America films, Latin Baby.

And as for my avatar, it's me stealing John Entwhistle's bass. It's from a larger comic concerning "Mystery Date," which you can view here: http://reccaphoenix.wordpress.com/2008/06/13/mystery-date-ooooooooo/

The obligatory "pairings I support" listing:

Maggey+Gumshoe (again again again, it's obvious.)

NEWS related to my fanfics and Phoenix Wright and stuff.

(1/14/09) "The Parking Ticket" is now COMPLETE, so read and review, everyone! I probably won't be writing any new stuff for a while from now on. Cheers! I also just finished playing Apollo Justice all the way through for the first time. Now no more new AA games for a while sniff... But I'm moving to Japan in a couple of months to stay for half a year, so I'll be able to get Gyakuten Kenji as soon as it comes out! I'm practically dying to know the exact release date...all we know now is "Spring 2009." Of course, I will miss my dear U.S.A. localization... but it's times like these that make me happy I know Japanese :D Anyway, I was reading someone's scans of a magazine article on the game, and guess who's returning who I wanted to see (other than Mr. Edgeworth, of course)...Franziska! She's come back to Japan, er, the USA! Back from the USA, er, Germany!!
Speaking of which, we all know of the "severe strict stoic evil German" stereotype. When we consider that the "German" characters in AA are REALLY American characters...it's a little scary. How about it, U.S.of A-ers, does this offend you? I for one think Franziska von Karma (or more accurately, Karuma Mei) is pretty awesome, so...no. And compared to the craaaazy characterizations of Americans in other anime/games (i.e. Tiffany in Rival Schools, the American girl in Midori No Hibi, Chibodee Crockett in G Gundam) you really can't call it pigeonholing!
And I'll also be able to get Kingdom Hearts 2.5 whatever it's called for the DS before it comes out in the USA. Lucky!

(9/24/08) Just heard about the upcoming Phoenix Wright Takarazuka musical, with music from the game and a "romance not found in the games." PLEASE be Phoenix/Maya, please be Phoenix/Maya... The actress playing Phoenix (yes, they're using the English names for some reason. And yes, I said ACTRESS. The Takarazuka revue is all-female) is Tom (Tomu) Ranju. If you click the link you can see creepy pictures. Takarazuka makeup turns everyone creepy, even poor Lady Oscar from Rose of Versailles.
I was also thinking how much Gumshoe reminds me of Zenigata from Lupin III...and even more so after playing the MaskDeMasque case on the 3rd game. I could totally hear Zenigata's voice in my head saying "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME, LUPIN!"
A crossover fic with those two could be potentially hilarious, all you would-be authors...

(9/22/08) If you have played the 2nd Ace Attorney game, you will probably find this comic I made amusing: http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=aawhipcomicbv3.jpg
