I should warn you though, I'm a college student and my daily schedule is often hectic and subject to chaotic last-minute scrambling over homework assignments, so updates here will be irregular. Also, I'll be studying abroad in Japan for a semester starting in October, so there probably won't be much written during that time.

Happy New Year!

Yay I finally updated my story! Chapter 2 of the Chrno Crusade / Advent Children crossover is finished at long last. It's strange but also kind of funny to be writing about "Angsty Chrono," as I have come to call this Cloud-Chrono character, since when I think of Chrono I usually think of his gentle, caring personality when he is with Rosette, and Cloud is just so darn emo in AC. (I like Zack much better.) But it works, because Cloud reminds me of Chrono's personality before his life was changed by Rosette.

Anyway...

I've recently become a Detective Conan fan, thanks to my best friend Eeveebeth Fejvu. Check out her profile if you haven't already; she's an incredible writer and she's working on an epic 40 Nights collection for Shinichi x Shiho which I most strongly recommend to any DC fans. (Also has some great Pokemon stories!) :)

Happy Labor Day!

Well, I've finally started writing the story that I should've started writing the day I finished Ocarina of Time, but for some reason didn't. I still hope to finish Chocobos in Eden sometime in the not-so-distant future, since I'm rather fond of the idea, and to add to The Amestrian Tails, although that will probably be a very slow, as-inspiration-hits-me project. But right now I'm way too excited about Survivor of the Sheikah, and since I've actually got this thing plotted out, I'm gonna try and get as much written on it as I can before I leave for Japan at the end of the month.

...Did I mention that I'm going to Japan? :D SUGOI!! I may even try and reserve a chapter or two so that I'll have something to upload while I'm there.

Meanwhile, I'm hoping that Eeveebeth Fejvu will have enough time this semester to write her first-ever Okami fanfiction, which I can only imagine will be ridiculously epic and awesome, coming from such a talented writer.

Update - 9/24/09

Ch. 3 of Survivor of the Sheikah is up. If it seems a bit rushed, that's probably because it was...

On Monday I leave to study abroad for four months in Japan. (!!) I can't wait to go, but unfortunately the trip will also undoubtedly mean a slowing down of writing updates for a while. I may have one more chapter of SotS ready to upload within a couple weeks, but beyond that, I have no idea how often -- if ever -- I will get to upload chapters while I am gone.

That being said, I am NOT abandoning this story. I have never been more excited about a fanfiction in my life... And this is one that I have been wanting to work on for years, but never got to. I have the story outlined already, which probably doesn't sound like much but for me, it's a huge deal. (I never outline. Ever. Not even for school reports.) So I will definitely be working on it first thing when I come back. I'll almost certainly work on it while I'm there too -- you can't journey to the true land of Zelda's origin without being inspired -- but I suspect I may have limited internet access while I'm there.

Ah, Japan... Shigeru Miyamoto said that the original inspiration for the Legend of Zelda came from his childhood, when he would go exploring through the woods and fields around his home... IN JAPAN!! WOOT YEAH!! ...Sorry. Ahem. Got a little carried away.
