My pen name is Z.N. Singer. My full, original hebrew name is most likely beyond most of you, I don't use it much except amongst my more conservative friends (I am Orthodox Jewish). You can find out how I'm called casually when I know you.

Some basics: I'm male, twenty-two (for now - it keeps changing), living in U.S. Ohio. A native english speaker. I carry an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. Original plan was work for a while before going on to Bachelors, but the way the economy is I'll probably be going back to school sometimes soon - earning my degree is a much more productive use of my time right now than trying to peddle it. My readers should not panic, as Fate Spiral Time was started while I was still in school. It might slow down a bit, but it won't go anywhere. Yakusoku (promise). My fandoms are pretty much entirely in anime - I don't own a television, watch very few movies, and simply don't think that way about books (though I am a long time, heavy duty reader).

I actually do not plan to continue to write new fics. I have no desire to quit Fate/Spiral Time - quite the opposite in fact - but the experience of writing it has shown me that I am ready to try again at making an original novel. The thing about standing tall in fanfiction is, you're still standing on someone else's shoulders. If you can be that tall, then you should stand on your own. I am working on a fantasy universe to write in. Once I've finished Fate/Spiral Time, you'll be able to follow all my efforts at originality at my writing site/blog (I love how wordpress lets you blur the line). Links to it are further down.

In addition to housing my own personal efforts, my site is now host to an attempt I believe is unique in the fanfiction world. As a rule, there are few attempts by sites to impose any standards of writing quality. An amazing number of people up here have difficulty writing three palatable sentences in a row. Lists of recommendations exist of course - TVTropes has a nice sized effort going - but no hosting site I know has tried to make everything they have, of a certain level. While it is beyond my resources to try to create a submission style site that conforms to this, both in terms of time and know-how (I'd have to be checking everything personally to grade them), I can collect those stories I can find. So, I am on a steady cruise to find the good authors out there and appropriate - with permission - their works for posting. There is no fandom preference: if it's well written it qualifies. We've got two authors right now, recommendations on who to check and ask next are welcome, especially if it falls outside of the anime/manga fandoms (there are only anime stories right now because that's the area I know, making your help in this especially valuable). Some links to examples or their profile, plus perhaps the right to use your name if relevant (amazing how many people don't respond at all to my queries), are also appreciated.
