I wrote fan fiction from the fall of 2008 until the fall of 2009, when I finished my two book-length fics, The List and While You Were Gone. Since then, I've turned my attention to publishing original fiction in paranormal and contemporary romance under the pen name Laura Kaye. I am the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of a dozen books (as of spring 2013). None of my published works are based on fan fiction stories. My books to date include:

STORY TRANSLATION POLICY

I receive a lot of requests to translate my stories into other languages (recently: Spanish, Hungarian, Polish, Finnish, and Russian). Though I appreciate international readers' interests in my story, I am not currently approving translation requests.

The current French translate is on hiatus indefinitely (because the translator stopped translating...I did not prevent her from continuing).

I apologize for the inconvenience this causes my readers whose first language is not English.

BACK TO YOU--I want to thank the readers and reviewers of the three chapters of my story Back to You for all the support and encouragement I received. As you might recall from my first author note, I explained that Back to You was actually an original story I was writing for publication that I decided to post as fan fiction too to get reader feedback. This was a mistake. I should have kept the two worlds separate. I've just so enjoyed interacting with Twific fans on my other stories that I was eager to jump back in with something new. But I found it difficult to write two versions of this at the same time, to keep the different characteristics of each straight, and don't want to jeopardize the publish-ability of the story since I've received multiple requests from editors and agents for it in the past 5 months. Once I realized my error in judgment, I listed the story as being on hiatus and stopped posting chapters. This is also why I've pulled these chapters from ff.net and twilighted altogether. So, I apologize for my experiment-gone-wrong. Lesson learned.
