Author has written 3 stories for Zelda. 6/15/09 This time, it's you guys. Yes, my update standstill at the moment is your fault. I'm sorry, but I have to do this, honestly. I cannot continue like this! Reviews are my lifeblood when it comes to writing; without it I wonder 'Why am I doing this?'--torturing myself to get the nex chap up when no one appears to appreciate it? I know there are people out there reading! I know it! I crave your opinions, your thoughts, your suggestions and, yes, even critisism if it's necessary. At least it's something. I'd even appreciate a 'good chapter, what happens next?' review about now. This is ridiculous--first off that I should be ranting about it, secondly that I should have to rant in the first place. I understand summer's coming up and all, but that's what down time and the 'story alert' button are for. That is, if you're really interested enough to keep waiting (however that particular bit is fault on my part, for which I apologize right now). But that's beside the point. Thing is, I'm a starving writer here...er, figuratively, that is. I'm a very vocal person, really; I enjoy dialogue. Monologues everyone reads to read are no fun, for me or the reader. So please, do me a favor and even just stop by to drop a 'hi good job keep going' review if you read GP (or anything else I have up, for that matter). You have no idea how much it means to me. :) Let's make a deal--you give me at least two-three (preferably five) reviews for each chap, and I promise to update as quickly as possible. Si? Does that work? Is that too much to ask? :) Alrighty then. Feed the starving writer and she shall continue to provide! _ Ciao, ~Zel 5/14/09 Ugh. Sorry, update's aren't going to be very fast at the moment. I don't really get as much writing time as I'd like (...ok, considerably more than that makes it sound like, but still), especially with my ever-so-fickle muse hopping back and forth between stories and slowing down and hemming and hawing and...you get the picture. So basically I'm at a 4-chap standstill with GP and another short-ish story I'm working on (should be ten 3-4k word chaps). Ok, so GP has 4 and the other has 2 complete--same dif. Anyway, I'm gonna be real slow about now with the whole updating thing. But I am still around, so don't give me up for dead unless I say otherwise! ; Ciao! ~Zel 4/23/09 Ok, this is probably going to upset most of you, but GP is to all intents and purposes on hold for now while I go through an extremely different revision of it. O.o I have no idea whether or not I'll be able to reuse the majority of the chapters or not (considering I'm really not happy with them now that my writing's gotten so much better), so until further notice the majority of the current draft is out-of-date. Umm, not sure what else really to say. >.> If you wish, I can put up the two revised chaps to get an idea of what you think of where I'm going with it... Oh what the heck. Why not? . ; Ciao! ~Zel 3/13/09 Oh. My. GOD!! -goes on a rant against the stupid computer- Aahh!! > . Whew! Ok, now that I got that out of my system--I'm sososososososososososososo soooooo sorry I've been gone so long! I had some...technical difficulties, if you couldn't tell. For some reason, no matter what permutation of passwords I handed out to the God of Logins, it wouldn't let me on my account. I even tried the 'recover password' thingy, and it still didn't work. Grr! > . To give you an update--I'm toying with putting up a songfic I just wrote. It kinda has something to do with GP, but it's more like an alternate-timeline GP. Lol xD Speaking of GP--thankfully, I'm FINALLY getting back into a writer's mood. Yes! -fistpump- So I might actually have chap 18 up for y'all in a few weeks...a month at the latest. My muse can be very fickle, especially with school work and such... > . > ;; So! PM if you want your opinions heard! Also, suggestions for little writing skits may or may not be taken, so if you'd like to see a little side-story/side-quest type interaction between my characters, let me know! ...Ok, I think that's going to hit the books as one of the most random ideas I've ever come up with in the space of a second. xD But what the heck! I'm in a bouncy writing mood right now, so do your best! >=D Ciao! ~Zel P.s--I just noticed it's a Friday the 13th. And I got on to FF.net today when I couldn't before. O_o Intriguing... 11/13/08 Newsflash! Midna (aka Midnight, aka MidnightStargazer) has graciously accepted my request to draw pictures and scenes from GP! Kudos to her, and when they're finished I'll post links to them so y'all can browse them and see another take on the Immortals Cycle characters. First up should be Tanya, so thank Midna and stick around to view them! 11/16/08-- here it is! Just take away the spaces in the address. --> http://midnight-stargazing. deviantart.com /art/Tanya- 103594157 So, I'm a complete Zelda nut. Or, if you want to be technical, I'm officially a Zelda Nerd now (by my ranking ;)). It is kinda sad that I haven't like turned each and every Zelda completely inside-out, though--I don't have all of them, haven't played all of them, and certainly haven't beat all of them. ;) Yeah--that's why I'm only a Zelda Nerd. =P But when it comes to writing Zelda--now that's another story (pun so not intended >.>). There are so many plot openings and loose ends, it's just itching to be picked up by an imaginative hand and crafted into something that fills the gaps with beautiful prose, maybe a little romance, and plenty of action, of course. It wouldn't be a Zelda fic without some action (IMO >.>). ;) So that's where my Immortals Cycle comes in. Not to give away any spoilers, but IMHO this definitely deserves more of a synopsis than what the pathetic space for a summary on each story this site gives it allows. -rolls eyes- There are five tales to the story, with three being the predominant players (--): --The Wings of Darkness (TWOD): Before the epic tale that truly begins the journey of the Great Heroes, there was a small but very significant incident pivotal in the unfolding conflict which eventually leads to the climax of their tale. Before the Great Heroes, there was only one Hero--before the world-spanning conflict, one person who could alter the fate of all four Realms. Her name is Vanessa Satori, and it is her destiny to be the Mistress of Light and hold the flanks of the battle lines of the Light against the probing, suffocating Darkness... Prequel to Golden Pendant; WIP --The Golden Pendant (GP; story ID: 4555613): As stated in the summary on-site, we find out what happens when you throw together warring gods, an immortal Hero, and a feisty warrior created to save the Goddesses' most cherished creation(s) from the fist of darkness. This is the journey of the Great Heroes, about how they came into their own--and found each other. On-site story; in progress--UNDER REVISION Heroes' Lineage (HL): Years after the overthrow of the God of Evil, when there is peace throughout the lands (lands, plural, because of the many many realms that exist both within and without Hylia), stirrings of unease arise in the north. Nobles will always seek power, especially amidst the soothing blanket of peace where upheaval and death are left to be washed away--people will do anything to forget and say that those dangers are in the past, leaving the country ripe for those who know how to take it. It is up to the children of the Heroes to do what they can to stop outright rebellion--with their shocking newfound powers, if necessary. Something of a filler for the time between Golden Pendant and Return of Darkness; WIP (Note: major OC-ness --The Return of Darkness (RoD): Aside from a few minor political shifts and scandals in the realm of Hylia, the Dawn Age is one of peace and prosperity almost rivaling that of the Great Golden Age. But--one hundred years after the shadow of evil has dispersed, and the memory of pain and suffering has been all but erased by Time--this new Age and its people are in for a big surprise. For darkness will seep through any crack in its shell of light that it can find, chip away at its chains until it is free, and so return for revenge once more... "Final installment," so to speak, of the Immortals Cycle; WIP Incursios Terrae (IT Name changed from Terra Invasion TI): So we had the kid from Earth get sucked up to Hyrule, right? How about shifting evil power beyond imagining onto Earth? It kills electric-powered machines, halts all commerce, and--worst of all--catches a super-power nation sleeping. Can the Americans (with help from the famous Hyrulian Heroes, of course) get back into the right mind-set to defeat this seemingly unconquerable enemy that is twice as ruthless as any Human dictator/general that they have fought before? Kind of a sequel/epilogue to the Immortals Cycle, included because it features characters from the Cycle; tentative idea/WIP And voy-la, there you have it. My major fanfiction projects. =D They don't stop there, of course--I've also got a songfic based on GP/Rascal Flatts' Stand in progress; a Link vs. Dark Link one-shot; a Twilight Princess sequel; and other ideas in the works. All, of course, are WIP's (minus ShadowTree) because I haven't managed to finish a single thing since I began writing when I was 11 (Yeah, 6th grade--that would make me 11 -frowns- For some reason I keep thinking 13... -shrug- =P). To any of you that took the precious time out of their hectic day to read this long-winded speech about my fanfiction writing, I so owe you guys. I'll owe you even more if you review any of the above that might happen to be on here (I'll make sure to update the story IDs when I get them on here so it's easier to find them...though, that's what the 'Stories Authored' button is for -rolls eyes- -head/palm-). Other fanfiction on FF.Net -Saving Heroes: Songfic using Nickleback's 'Saving Me' lyrics. Sort of an alternate Immortals Cycle reality, as none of the scenes used have appeared in GP (or its prequel/sequels)...so far. Personally I think it's a rather interesting look at the relationship between the Heroes. But I think I'll leave that up to you all. _ -ShadowTree: My Link vs. Dark Link encounter short story (er, scene). Very short, probably not my best writing, but it's up here nonetheless. It was a rather random inspiration, haha (more about it in the A/N before it). You know when you live in 2007 when... 1.) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave. 2.) You haven't played Solitare with real cards for years 3.) The reason for not staying in touch with your friends is they don't have a screenname or Myspace 4.) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing the buttons on the TV 6.) Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job. 7.) As you read this list you keep nodding and smiling. 8.) As you read this list you think about sending it to all your friends. 9.) You were too busy nodding and smiling to notice number 5. 10.) You scrolled back up to see if there was a number 5. 11.) Now you are laughing at yourself stupidly. Put this in your profile if you fell for that--you know you did!
