Maybe you wonder why I chose this name? Well, it starts on the lotrplaza, where my name is Shadowfax. One of my fellow Star Wars fans played with the name a bit, and came up with Fax Machine. And then she got Hyperdrive, because that's a machine, too, and it's Star Wars related. Then, more recently, on the proboards site titled Force Storm, where I used to RP, I added to my signature, "If I'm a hyperdrive, I'm the Falcon's." After all, I'm not the most hyper girl ever, and the Millennium Falcon's hyperdrive isn't the most reliable thing in the galaxy. So, that's the story behind the name.

My policy on slash fiction: I will not write it, I will not read it, I will not favorite it, I will not put it on my alerts. If I do chance upon it, I will not flame it. This effort, however, seems to be in vain, as they are thrown back into the world of their people, which they know little of, and are helpless to stop the female named Arushta from revealing it - a female who seems to have a personal vendetta against Nia. They are not friendless on this ship, however, as a crew member, a commoner by the name of Trent, befriends Nia, and helps her to overcome her fear. As the story draws to a climax, more mysteries are discovered, and Nia wonders, how many really are participating in this grand Chiss Charade?

Sure, she was also friends with the Princess Leia Organa, but that was beside the point. Her life was, as much as could be, normal. Then, on the night she became engaged to Jaren Key, all that changed. Pirates kidnapped her, changing her life forever. She became caught in the crossfire of the pirate gang and the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Due to Fett's killing the pirate leader, she was able to escape in Lex Parilstoe's personal gunship, the Black Dwarf. When she arrived at Alderaan, she discovered that, by kidnapping her, the pirates had unwittingly saved her life. A thriving planet had become a graveyard made up of asteroids. Her fiancé's fate unknown, she began searching for the Rebel Alliance, determined to join up with them. At Hoth, she was reunited with Princess Leia, but also encountered Boba Fett once again, as he came to lay claim to something she had that he wanted. They parted ways once more, both headed for a planet called Zygoth, neither party knowing the other's destination. There are, Iaana discovers more than once, many crossroads in the galaxy . . .

After all, none of these bounty hunters like to have their reputation at stake. But she's not giving up. After all, she has her own reputation to defend. The Underworld of Coruscant is a dark, foreboding place. A Jedi Master and a senator have this clearly imprinted in their minds as they are forced to take a detour into its depths. In their adventure in the darkness, they discover there is sentient life dwelling in the Underworld, as they meet a young girl, strong in the Force, and intelligent beyond her years. They ask her to come with them when they return to the "Upperworld," and she agrees, and becomes a Jedi. Little do any of them know, her journey will take her back to the Underworld as Order Sixty-Six is enacted. There, she will become a legend. Miyasha, Defender of the Underworld. Of course, in the days of the Empire, and then the New Republic, who would have guessed that this legend began as a young girl scavenging for food in the dark? A young girl named Ailyn Sabor . . .

Her roommate is understanding, and takes her revelation quite calmly. Even though Sakura offers her blood, Ami knows she must not accept it, as she knows that, once she tastes human blood, there will be no going back to the blood of Level-E's. The Night Class, however, is catching on, and it's getting more dangerous for all of them for her to continue her secretive feeding. Can she reveal her secret before it's too late? What will the vampires' reactions be? And why doesn't she remember much of anything before her eleventh year? There is, she knows, only one way to find out . . .

Jareth can still turn Sarah's world upside-down, even ten years after she ran the Labyrinth. Although, it's not entirely his fault.

Ever since that day, Sarah has continued to grow up. She knows what love is, now, and knows that the King of the Goblins truly was being generous. Her dreams hold him most often, sometimes replaying everything that happened in those ten hours she was Underground. Still, however much she misses him, she waits for him to make the first move.

Unfortunately, unbeknownst to her, her last six words to him forbade him from visiting her, though he is able to watch her with his crystals. Also, the only way she can find out about this is if she asks, and she is a stubborn woman. How long can she hold out with her curiosity and frustration?

Then she finds out that her brother was named heir to Jareth's throne, and both of the siblings belong to the fairy realm. The next day, Toby receives a letter from Hogwarts. In it, he is told he is a wizard, and a benefactor has payed for his schooling and has a vault set up for them, as well as a job at Hogwarts for Sarah. She immediately knows it's Jareth, but she can't figure out why he's being so helpful and kind, and yet he has not visited. Still, she does not ask.

Soon they're off to Diagon Alley to purchase what they need. In the days to come, as school begins for Harry Potter's fifth year, Sarah and Toby get targeted with prejudice and caught up in a wizarding war. Unfortunately, until Sarah relents and summons the Goblin King she has come to believe she can love, they and their goblin protectors and helpers are on their own. How long can she hold out in her stubbornness? For she is only mortal, and he is of her dreams.

Related, The Troublesome Triplets and The Flaming Pants: Of Mortals and Dreams side-story. Bluey tells Sarah a tale about her triplet sons and the prank they pulled on the Goblin King.

Enduring Light:(Harry Potter/Naruto) In-progress; Chapter 11 being worked on.

Post Deathly Hallows AU, Post Naruto manga (possibly AU); She had always endured, had always had to. Orphaned twice, once as a baby and once at twelve, she now spent her time not at Hogwarts wandering the southern three nations of the Hidden Countries alone, continuing what she had done with her sensei. In recent years, she'd made it a point to stop by Konoha and Suna, searching for a place to call home when she graduated. In doing so, she found a man to call uncle, and a boy to call brother. Taiki was the best thing that had ever happened to her so far, and she didn't even mean for the first encounter to turn out that way. She had always feared attachment after her sensei was killed, but she had managed to make good friends. Among them, the pranking twins of Hufflepuff, the proteges of the Weasley twins. She was finally able to bring herself to call them brothers, always avoiding the issue until her seventh year.

Her time at Hogwarts had not been easy, though she'd stayed largely in the shadows. Her first year, she was sorted into Hufflepuff due to being well-rounded, but with extreme loyalty. That summer, her sensei and adoptive mother was killed. After that, she was much more reserved.

Each year brought new pain, but eventually she did meet Taiki, and told him about the wizarding world and the death of the one man at Hogwarts who knew about her origins in the Hidden Countries, the man she had come to consider as a grandfather. Dumbledore's death was a grief she had not felt since her sensei was murdered and a good friend of hers died the summer after. Still, she returned to Great Britain the next year with papers she had cooked up, listing her mother as a witch, thereby avoiding persecution. She fought in the battle when the time came, and returned to Konoha and Suna with joy. Taiki promised to visit her if he could, for rumor was it that the Kazekage was in contact with the wizards. That September, she discovered that this was true, and that Hogwarts was beginning a taijutsu class. This was to be checked up on by the Kazekage Gaara himself quite often, and Hikari found herself hard pressed to keep her countries of origin a secret. She told the twins, but only them, and they kept it quiet.

It became much harder to keep her skills and origins secret as the Kazekage took increased interest in her and the mystery surrounding her. When she finally decided to let everyone know, she knew it would be quite a shock. This year, she decided, was definitely going to be interesting.
