Poll: In my story, "The Longest Day," I deliberately left the female protagonist vague with no name and no defining physical characteristics. If you've read this story, who did you imagine her to be? Vote Now!

Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter.

Update - July 8, 2009: I promise I haven't abandoned any of my stories! Real life, if you'll excuse the vernacular, has been kicking my butt up between my shoulders for the last two months. Between personal crises, illness in the family and summer break, I've had very little time or motivation to write but I'm holding out hope that this will change soon. I appreciate your patience and all of the kind PMs in the meantime.

To understand my stories, all that's necessary is to look at my user name. I've always been fascinated by the prospect of a strong, stoic man brought to his knees; the hard exterior falling away to reveal...well, a hard interior, but with just a hint of vulnerability.

I've been interested in Severus Snape since I first read The Sorcerer's Stone, and completely devoted to him since The Order of the Phoenix when his past as an awkward and abused adolescent was revealed. (Honestly, if JKR wanted her fan base to loathe Professor Snape as much as she seemed to, she should have written him as an spoiled and pampered pureblood and not a neglected half-blood teen.) Ever since OotP, I've wanted to protect him and care for him and writing H/C stories allows me to do just that.

All of my stories follow a similar pattern: Professor Snape is ill and miserable and in denial and someone, either an OC or a canon character, breaches his defenses and he reluctantly allows himself to be cared for. I never seem to tire of that theme, but if it does nothing for you, then by all means, skip these stories. I also have something of an illness fetish. What? Go ahead and snicker; I understand. All this means is that my stories tend to be heavier on medical/caretaking details and lighter on anything resembling a plot. If you're still reading and are vaguely intrigued, I hope you'll stay and read and leave a review if you're so inclined. I write for my own pleasure, but a little encouragement is always nice.
