Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Ummmmm, I guess I'll just list my fave pairings, and if anyone finds any good ones of it, that aren't on my favourite list, please tell me. Harry/Tonks Harry/Daphne Greengrass Harry/Blaise(fem) Harry/Tracey Davis Harry/Fleur Harry/Bellatrix Harry/Alicia Things that annoy me Saying Snape 'mind rapes' Harry in the 5th book. I read one story where they said Snape's attacks were forcing his mind to make occlumency shields on it's own, going on about Snape mind raping Harry doesn't role off the tongue and sounds ridiculous. People who change characters outlandishly with no build up or reason why. It's essentially labelling your character a Harry Potter characters name. Make your own characters completely, don't get them to ride on the back of already created ones. Magically meeting people that aren't afraid to say Voldemorts name. If they aren't afraid, we'd have heard of them before because they'd obviously be a main target/ally of Voldemort. In James and Lily's will that Harry shouldn't go to the Dursleys. Sorry but they're in the middle of a war, they wouldn't specifically target them as someone not to send Harry to. Plus, they were always labelled as lovely caring people, therefore it wouldn't enter their minds that Harry would be abused there. Good people always try and see the good in others - Fact. Quidditch building muscles. They're sat on brooms the whole time. I can see how beaters and chasers may build muscles in their arms, but that's it. Calling Fred and George, Gred and Forge. It's never happened in the books and I've never heard it in real life either. Other than being a pointless part to add in a story, I don't see the reasoning behind why writers do this. It just cheapens alot of otherwises great stories. Love between two already known characters sprouting in the space of a couple of chapters. I can understand with new characters but alot of the romances need building work, not just throwing them together by saying something like "Harry suddenly realised how much he loved every moment he spent with Hermione." It's irritating and takes away from the romances impact. People that use the word Fool/s. I can't picture Voldemort insulting someone by calling them a fool, it just sounds...weird. Arthur Weasley suddenly being Minister of Magic. It's always put that he loves his job and doesn't have alot of ambition to move, so why would Harry defeating Lord Voldemort suddenly have him wanting the top job, and getting given it with no experience of politics or serious responsibility (he'd be looked at as an oddball to the majority of other wizards). Amelia Bones I can sort of understand as she seems like she'd be quite high up but Mr.Weasley? Stories where Harry uses really odd choices of wording. I read a story that was pretty good, but kept making Harry use Red Dwarf references, like making him say smeg. I know people who love Red Dwarf but they don't say smeg. It made Harry not sound like Harry and got really irritating really quickly. | |||||||||
