Author has written 7 stories for Nightwing, Harry Potter, Batman, DC Superheroes, and Robin. Favorite Books: Harry Potter, Alex Rider, The Dresden Files, The Innocents Abroad (by Mark Twain, who is hilarious), DC comics (especially Batman; and why has he disappeared?! Stupid comic writers.), the Twilight series! (Oh,my gosh. I can't believe I forgot to put down Twilight. I mean, this profile has been up for several months!!) Favorite Movies: Kate and Leopold, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Band Of Brothers, National Treasure 1 & 2, Stormbreaker, No Reservations, Cast Away... Favorite TV Shows: Kyle XY, sometimes Grey's Anatomy(when there's actually a plot, and the characters aren't angsting), and Life On Mars. Also, Are You Being Served? and Keeping Up Appearances. Yeah, I know that those shows are old, but they're hilarious! Favorite Music: Enya, soundtracks, 97.9 (a radio station that plays 90's and today), Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, Huey Lewis (let's hear it for 'Heart and Soul'!!)... Absolute Favorite Songs:'Heaven' the remix with Yanou and DJ Sammy, 'Stars' by Switchfoot, 'My Life Would Suck Without You' by Kelly Clarkson, 'Fever' and 'Radiator' by Family Force Five, 'Circus' and 'Womanizer' by Britney Spears(though I don't think much of her as a person), 'Untouched' by the Veronicas, Favorite Things To Do: Reading, writing(obviously), ice-skating, my job at my local library (yes, I'm a teenager who actually loves my job; sue me.) I also like to sew. I did my own Halloween costume the last few years. And before any of you get smart, the costumes did not look like a nightmare appropriate for Halloween. One year I was a pirate(no glittery shirts, or ridiculously short skirts, or fish-net panty-hose. Think "pirates of the carribean" kind of look), and the last couple years, I played off a Matrix look. I also did my brother's costume, which was also a Matrix design. It was funny, because he's so tall (6'3"; and he's fifteen!) and he was scaring some of the really little kids by looming over them! Just like Keanu Reeves; dark sunglasses and all. Most Recent Things That Are Unbelievable: As mentioned above, Batman has disappeared! Oh, and it's like Spider-Man is taking a trip down the Twilight Zone, and he is not married anymore! And they are cancelling Nightwing!? And they are cancelling Robin!? And they are cancelling Birds Of Prey!? WTF!! And Batman has been killed by Darkseid!! Oh yeah, and Captain America is dead too, just to round things out! Apparently, the comics people are really, really trying to put themselves out of business!! Batman does not die. Repeat, Batman does not die. Disregard aforementioned complaints. He is literally a ghost of his former self and is wandering between the universes. Movies I'd Really Like To See: Twilight, Captain America(when they finally get around to casting the character. NOT BRAD PITT, NOT AARON ECKHART, definitely NOT LEONARDO DECAPRIO, and definitely, positively NOT MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY. Steve Rogers does not walk around half the year with his shirt off. By the way, am I the only one to notice that DC and Marvel seem to be stealing plot ideas from each other? I mean, have you seen the similarities in the characters? Daredevil- Batman, Power Girl- Ms. Marvel, Green Arrow/ Red Arrow- Hawkeye... Obviously, I'm not the only one, since they came out with those Anglam comics, or whatever their called (I'm pretty sure I misspelled that). But anyway, can't each company have original ideas, for pete's sake! (This is where some one says: "great minds think alike".) I know people are going to roll their eyes at this one, but... I really think Frank Castle needs to settle down. I mean, seriously, he has some measure of a family back in his daughter (which Kathryn didn't tell him about) and he's not getting any younger. To be quite honest, I follow the Punisher storyline from Wikipediaand other sites; I don't read the graphic novels. Why? Because with the Punisher these days, when they say "graphic novel", they mean really graphic. Sorry, but I'd rather not feel queasy when I sit down to read a book. Favorite Quotes: New section for you to absorb or discard. Since I can't submit any stories right now, I'll pester you all with quotes. By the way, I am probably going to be one of those people who have ridiculously long profile pages; you have been warned. "Nobody move. You are surrounded by armed bastards!" -Harvey Keitel in Life On Mars(tv show) "Can we panic now?!" -Rupert Grint in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets "First one to tell me what's going on gets a dollar. I'm serious, a whole dollar." -Wolverine in New Avengers (graphic novel) "Shall I describe it to you?" -looks down at Gimli- "Or should I just go find you a box?" -Orlando Bloom as Legolas in The Two Towers "Nobody tosses a dwarf!" -he leaps for the other side and just makes it; Legolas grabs at him to keep him from going over the edge- "Not the beard!"-John Rhys-Davies as Gimli in The Fellowship of the Ring "Toss me." - Aragorn says "What?" in a disbelieving tone- "I said, it's too far across, you're just going to have to toss me!" -Aragorn says "Alright"; goes to toss Gimli- "Wait! Don't tell the elf." -Aragorn promises: "Not a word." -John Rhys-Davies and Viggo Mortensen in The Two Towers "Asps. Very dangerous. You go first." -Sala to Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. "Unicorns. Very Dangerous. You go first." -Harry Dresden to Karrin Murphy "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me." -Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins "Lets not do that again."- Maggie Gyllenhal as Rachel Dawes after Batman catches her after she gets thrown out of his penthouse's window "Amen." "Wait a minute. Why are we getting upset over something Kelso said? This is the guy who can't understand how hot dogs survived in the wild without eyes." -Donna to Eric in That 70's Show "Keep it steady!" "Ssh. This is a library." -One of my co-workers; this is his signature phrase whenever someone drops something. "Stewpid, fat hobbit." -Gollum in The Two Towers (yes, I misspelled 'stupid' on purpose. I was trying to make it look like how he talks.) "Well, I'm awake." -Kathryn O'Brien in Punisher after helping him shoot some wacko to pieces first thing in the morning. "Steven Seagal called: he wants his ponytail back." -Spider-Man to Morlun in the battle where he "dies". "Mr. Granger, are you free?" -recurring punchline in Are You Being Served? "Bouquet residence, lady of the house speaking." -recurring punchline from Keeping Up Appearances "This is a monologue, not a dialogue." -one of my Mom's bosses when someone interrupted him during a meeting And thanks to everyone who has actually reviewed!! Love you guys:) If the following sounds familiar, feel free to copy it into your profile: If you have ever been asked a question that made you want to smack the person asking it, but you couldn't because they were the customer. If you have ever cried for an hour after reading one of your favorite authors kill off one of your favorite characters. If you have ever reacted in outrage whenever people talk about said character's death with indifference. If you have ever realized that you are way too emtionally involved with fictional characters. If you have ever been unable to understand why someone cannot stand to read Harry Potter. If you have ever been amazed that guys read the Twilight series too. If you have ever been amazed that people who write extremely grammatically incorrect fan fics still have an avid fan base. If you have ever been shocked and disgusted by all of the Batman/Joker fan fics. (There may be a few characters used for slash, but these two do not count, people!) If you have ever waited until the last minute to study for a test, thinking that you'll be fine. If you have ever been within a few hours of taking said test, and find yourself flipping out. If you are in the habit of freaking out when people don't answer e-mails right away. Following that, if you constantly remind yourself that people have other things to do besides sit at their computers and answer your e-mails; therefore, they do not hate you. :(Oh, my gosh. Are any of you as annoyed as I am at how Life On Mars ended? Gah! | |||||||||
