Reiou is actually Azathoth. Discuss. Hougyoku/Ouken is not an accepted pairing by Fanfiction dot net. Really, I must protest at this. Stuff I'll read: More or less anything, as long as spelling and grammar are reasonable. I like reading side character pairings sometimes. I particularly like long epic adventure fics that're well written, amusing oneshots, angsty oneshots, pretty much anything written by ncfan, stuff involving Szayel Apporo Granz being... well... Szayel Apporo Granz, crossovers (although Hitsugaya-is-Harry Potter crossovers, not so much, because there's only so much of anything I can take) and minor character love. But anything outside of the 80%. Particularly appreciated pairings: Crack pairings and side characters, but mains too. I just enjoy the more obscure ones. Keigo/Mizuiro, Ganju/Hana (officially canon), Uryuu/Ichigo (potentially with Orihime as long as she's in Badass mode), Yoruichi/Urahara/Soi Fon love triangle, Gin/Matsumoto amongst a whole load of others that I can't be bothered to name here. I will still read most pairings as long as they're well written. Stuff I won't read: Most incest pairings (there are very few exceptions, like not-knowing-they're-related-at-first-plus-extra-side-helping-of-angst). Also, Western-style stuff isn't really my thing. Heavy smut (some of the time). Steampunk, some of the time, unless it's awesome. Fics with terribad grammar and spelling, simply for ease of legibility. Mary Sue, unless it's really well written/taking the piss. Features of stories that I utterly despise: Extensive monologuing. I mean, why the hell would you do this? You're in the middle of a fight! This is not the time to discuss morals with your enemies, unless you have some kind of Therapy no Jutsu and even then only maybe. If a character does this, then they deserve to be shot or stabbed somewhere extremely painful. Also, characters acting out of character, going romance v. for no particularly good reason, angsting for no good reason, completely nonsensical plotlines. Yeah, I'm not a fan of Twilight. The World in Black and White So one day I got bored and ran out of material related to people whose stories were on the favourites lists of the people whose stories were on the favourites lists of the people whose stories were on my favourites list, and decided to venture into the great unknown of the general dross that makes up the majority of all fanfictions, without a guide. It was a scary place. Some of the stuff I found there traumatized me for life, but as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and, if you're Ichigo Kurosaki, what kills you also makes you stronger. So really it was a bit of a learning experience. Anyway, I read a bunch of fics in which Ichigo became a hollow, many of which were not all that great and some of which were absolutely awesome, but abandoned for various reasons such as real life or writer's block. Essentially I thought it was an awesome idea and that there was not enough of it out there and decided to write a version of my own which was totally unique and original, as well as having epic fights, aspects of every single genre other than Sci-Fi and Western, and general epicness. For obvious reasons, it didn't quite work due to the basic story concept I was using and the fact that I wanted to fix every minor thing that was pissing me off about the original. However, it does involve bipolar!hollow!Ichigo with a thing for candy, pyromaniac!spy!Uryuu with button-induced genocide mode, cats that are not, in fact, cats, a mod soul not named Kon, Chekhov's Gunmen, a whole lot of minor characters being more badass than they are in canon, black humour, quite a bit of misunderstanding, and no ridiculously overpowered substitute shinigami or sadomasonecrobestiality, whatsoever, because all the sadomasonecrobestiality was reserved for this story's counterpart. (There may be smooches and minor yaoi shippings. You have been warned.) There's even some plot on the side. What more could you possibly wish for? Edit: Now with added TVtrope featureness, apparently. o3o Promise Welp... this was a weirdass apocalyptic timetravelling reincarnation concept I came up with a while ago. I really can't remember what originally inspired it, but it has, regrettably, fallen by the wayside in recent times with university work and TWiBaW. It was an epic fic that I thought up a good while ago, something that was intended to have bajillions of chapters and thus made me feel depressed when I realized I hadn't worked my way through even a quarter of my carefully-thought-out plot. It hasn't been abandoned completely yet, though. More put on hiatus for the time being. It's confusing running two different stories on the same rough time period. Love Psycho's Challenge #2 Someone else goes to Karakura instead of Rukia, but it can be anyone you like... of course I just couldn't play it straight.
