Author has written 5 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Ronin Warriors. Hello, helpless minions known as fanficition readers! Here's a little about me (go on, you know you wanna look...): Age: Old enough to drink (legally), young enough I don't care that I spend time watching cartoons. Location: Home-base is in Washington State, but I'm in the lovely state of Tennessee for my Masters of Science program. I miss my dogs horribly and, when asked, my family is included on things I miss. Hobbies: If you are reading this, you should know how I spend my free time. Something weird and rather odd for your enjoyment: In 'real life' I consider myself to be slightly more conservative even though I'm always one of the first in a group to laugh at a joke or see the humor in a situation (the problem is that the jokes are usually dirty or I'm laughing at something bad that is happening to a person and finding the hilarity of the moment!). As a piece of flair put it on Facebook: "I'm the type of girl that will randomly burst out laughing...at something that happened yesterday". Let's see... Favorite TV Show: 'NCIS' because Michael Weatherly is HOT! 'Leverage' is a new addition; the writing is fabulous and the actors make the show as awesome as it is even if I still don't recognize the head-guy as much as I should. I have now become a watcher of Dancing with the Stars (Go Kelly) and a new TV series I have now watched for two seasons is Castle. Very good! Favorite Cartoon: Currently on an Avatar: The Last Airbender fix. My rant about the show is that it could have been the greatest American anime ever made if it hadn't aired on Nickelodeon and had been able to get a more serious tone. They succeeded a little in Book 3, but imagine what the battles would have been if they didn't have to make it 'family friendly'! Since changing TV providers (Cable got too expensive for a poor grad student), I've faded from it. Also, always good for an episode of South Park or Family Guy. Favorite Anime: Ronin Warriors (it was my first love in anime and always will be!). Chrono Crusade is a close second, but sadly the anime doesn't live up to the manga. BLEACH is another favorite of mine and I finally watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which is great now that they're following the manga. Favorite Manga: Samurai Deeper Kyo. It pains me to watch the anime (which I do in Japanese because I have problems with voice-overs and I refuse to listen to the voice of Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh come out of Kyo's mouth!!) because the manga is so freaking awesome! There's something about Hotaru that just makes a girl want to squeeze him and take care of him! I now have 34, but I'm thinking 30 and 31 are my favorite volumes (Go HOTARU!!) I'm also currently diving back into Fruits Basket (another example of a perfectly good manga being destroyed as an anime). For the fruity, girly mangas (you know, besides Fruits Basket), I have become a true advocate of Special A. People either love it or don't get it, so I'm obviously in the former group. Mainly because even though I really enjoy the whole KeixHikari relationship, there's something about Finn and Ryuu that tugs my heart. Poor Ryuu is so underestimated! Favorite Book: I can't honestly say. I read novels (yes, I am aware of the difference...Master's, remember?) most of the time and I will read between 50 and 100 a year. I can knock out the largest Harry Potter book in less than eight hours if left to do so. If I had to choose one classical piece of work I would say Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus because come on! Rape, murder, and sex all mixed into a weird combination of English words people can't read! Another book I would recommend to anyone who takes the time to read this is Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. The movie down by Miyazaki-san is based off this book and it is a really good book to read, no matter what age you are. Unexpectedly it turns out Howl is Welsh and I'm a Welshie (by heritage at least) so I feel connected to him! Greatest Historical Figures (in my opinion): Alexander of Macedon - aka Alexander the Great - and Napoleon Bonaparte. Why? Because there is something awe-inspiring that two men were able to concur lands using their brains to win battles, not just brute strength from metal machines. If you want to learn what real war is, read up on them, not on what is happening today. That, and I love the fact that they both had short-man complexes and could still whoop ass. That, and the fact that Alexander once races naked on the beach with his lover (male lover at that). Gotta love those good ole days! Favorite Movie: Nightmare Before Christmas. I love Danny Elfman's music in it and how well-thought out the movie is. My current number one is Batman: The Dark Knight. Why? Because even if I am a girl, the Tumbler is the best car ever made! I was pissed when they blew it up just so he could use the Batpod in the movie, so it better be in the next movie! Howl's Moving Castle is another must watch for me (I have a thing for Christian Bale and his voice as Howl makes me shiver!) because it is such a good story and the English dub cast did good. Another favorite would probably be The Count of Monte Cristo, just because its a pretty good translation from the book and besides Guy Pierce coming off looking like Ape-Man, its a good movie to kill the hours with. Stories: Avatar the Last Airbender Hundred, Posted, Complete Follows two people through the civil war that takes over the Fire Nation two years following the end of the Hundred Year War. I wrote this baby in just around eight hours one day when the story-bug caught me and I couldn't put it away. I really like it, for all of its oddities, and may actually expand it out into a full-blown story because what it is right now is a long one-shot broken up into smaller Arcs. Don't wait for it though. Hundred: Scenes, On HIATUSSorry guys, but my Avatar fics are failing, horribly. This story may never progress in to the length I want because I'm getting swamped at school and the enthusiasm just isn't there anymore. Wherever You May Be, Currently in Progress: Its six years since the end of the series. When Katara goes missing for a month, Zuko is the only one in the group that can go find her with Toph and Aang fighting a rebellion in the Earth Nation and Sokka and Suki tied in political negotiations. The one thing everyone knows is that Zuko never gives up, especially when it comes to the girl he let out of his life once before. Romance/Action/Adventure though not a lot of fight scenes because I suck as writing them. Note 11/23 I have two more chapters that I'm going to be quick posting, just to reach a good stopping point in the story. I just can't write this story anymore, so I'm doing the next thing by giving it a "false" ending. Fanart for Wherever You May Be: Zuko, by LadySai ~http://ladysai65-rojas.deviantart.com/art/Zuko-133755973 Honey Whiskey, by LadySai ~ http://ladysai65-rojas.deviantart.com/art/Honey-Whiskey-134704811 Samurai Deeper Kyo The Five Senses, Posted, Complete: The five senses as described by Kyo and Yuya in terms of each other. AU-ish in some circumstances, basically take it as it is. Romance Ronin Warriors One Night, Posted, Complete: Touma and Sastuki (Date) talk about their relationship the night she decides she's had enough of Touma's unexplained actions after she moves in with him. If I return to writing Ronin Warrior stories, other stories of the guys may be added with their own story. Next up would be Seiji, but again, don't wait with baited breath. Romance | |||||||||
