I am The Almond.

Why almond, you ask?

Because my dear friend (who shall remain nameless) has filed a complaint against my use of the same username wherever I go--not to mention the fact that the same dear friend and her dear mother have alerted the entire community as to my identity. Thus, I have taken cover under the enigmatic name of Almond. (Dear Friend has also drawn a connection between almonds and overall nuttiness, proving that the name does indeed have some founding.)

Elsewhere, I go by many names. I write a mixture of historical fiction and fantasy, with preference for the historical fiction, and have created a profile here simply to oblige Dear Friend. The day I write a fan fiction will be...something far worse than the day pigs fly.

As a Christian homeschooler, I have many activities, the least of which would be schoolwork. My writing is an ever-present and never-ending adventure. I am incredibly blessed to have many opportunities for horseback riding, and there is truly nothing more inspiring than galloping through a field on the back of a horse as the sun sets in the distance. Other hobbies include music--I am unexplainably drawn to any sort of musical instrument, often at great expense to my checkbook. Hand me an instrument, and I will play it, be it flute, violin, or bagpipes.

There. I do believe that I have fulfilled my obligation to Dear Friend.
