Author has written 21 stories for Spirited Away, Stargate: Atlantis, Torchwood, Avengers, and Were the World Mine.

Updated: August, 2009

I'm 20-something author with hobbies and interests across the board, although definitely a geek at heart. I write Het/Gen/Slash reasonably interchangeably, and adore secondary characters. I don't tend to go in for a "One True Pairing" in any fandom - if you can write it convincingly and stay true to the characters, I'll read just about anything. I've recently finished my BA, so hopefully my writing is going to pick back up again for the foreseeable future. Eventually I'll get around to transferring all of my writings over here (I'm getting better about it!). I'll include a note in my profile when that's actually happened. Until then, if you're looking for more than what's displayed here, your best bet is to head on over to my LiveJournal and do a search via the tag listing located to the left of the journal entries. Everything post-Due South (2005) is tagged pretty consistently.

As for what I write, I tend to go in for complex world-building with a dash of romance. Not to say I've never written anything M or NC-17, but it's not my forte, and I've been around long enough to admit that without shame. I'm a big fan of independent Atlantis (as in Stargate Atlantis), and have 3 or 4 separate "alternate futures" currently running involving various motivations for the (inevitable) break from Earth. I also write/have written in Due South, NCIS, Smallville (tentatively), Supernatural, and Torchwood. My most recent fannish love is the indie film Were the World Mine, which is a musical high school romance featuring rugby, theatre, and love potions run amuck a la A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Those of you who are familiar with my work know that I've got a half-dozen universes in need of completion right now. I haven't forgotten about them, nor have I abandoned them. I'm still working on the various and sundry projects, and fully intend to lay them to rest somewhere within the next year (especially the Stargate and Torchwood projects). Just, you know, in case you thought my new stories indicated that I'd moved onto brighter and shinier things (OK, so boys dancing in glittery shorts and wings is pretty damn shiny. But I'm not that ADD).

Most of my fannish interaction takes place over on LiveJournal, where I go by mardahin, and DreamWidth.org, where I go by Mardahin (same as here). Feel free to drop by!

Broad Spectrum Disclaimer: I've worked in the entertainment industry. I hope some day to become a published author. I have enormous respect for many individuals in both fields. I write fanfiction out of a need to explore the "What if?" and the "What happens next?". I do not do so for profit, and make no legal claims to characters borrowed from the creative works of other individuals. I do periodically create original characters, however, and those do belong to me. If you wish to utilize a character, or to repost my work, I respectfully request that you talk to me about it first, and reserve the right to say "no".
