Personality: Junie is quiet and reserved at first sight, but upon closer inspection, rowdy and bold. She has a stubborn streak and spitfire spunk. She gets flustered and riled up easily. Erica has a good heart and always tries to do the right thing, although pride sometimes gets in the way. She's generous and helpful, quick to learn, but sometimes has the "my-way-or-the-highway" approach. Story/Background: Junie was the only girl raised in a family of five sons. Being the youngest, she either had to learn to fight back or be pinned down and spit on. She lived on a dairy farm in Colorado, a complete tomboy at heart. The way she saw it, no boy would ever give her a second glance (though she's pretty to look at, she doesn't see the need for fixing up her appearance, so she was always a disheveled sight), the girl who should've been born a boy. But then her family went bankrupt. Their only choice was to send Junie to England as a foreign exchange student. Determined to see this as an adventure (she'd always complained about wanting to get out of "this hick town and rinky-dink farm") rather than a tragedy, Junie's hopes were quickly dashed when she was sent to live with the Parkington family. They're the basic rich snobs of the British community, looking down their polished noses at the southern belle boarding with them. Her life becomes a living nightmare as they make Junie wear frilly gowns, demonstrate proper etiquette and manners, try to improve her speech mannerisms (she has a cute southern drawl and talks with the typical cowgirl language), and ridicule her. Junie attends an All-Girls Academy, a private school, with the stuck-up Parkington twins. All-in-all, she's pretty miserable. But that's only until she meets Edmund...

Other: Since she was ten years old, Junie has had dreams of Narnia. She visits it in her dreams. There, she is accepted and respected, known as the pegasus, unicorn, and even horse trainer. She first meets Edmund at a well when loaning Phillip to him. She never forgets the dark-eyed, dark-haired boy of English descent and recognizes upon first run-in in England.

Personality: Haylie is a daring, bold person, always up to challenges and never backing down from anything. She is some sort of a rebel, and because of her past she has built a hard wall around her heart. Despite her rude and tough exterior, deep down Haylie is very caring and generous, always putting others before herself. She is also very fond of children. Haylie lives on the edge and is not afraid of what might happen to her. She is tough and is very good at concealing her emotions. Haylie is sneaky and sly, and she can find her way in the dark quite easily. She is very good at keeping promises and secrets, willing to put her life on the line if necessary. She also has a really hard issue with trusting people. Haylie is sometimes very sarcastic, but all-in-all she loves to have fun and have a good time.

Story/Background: Haylie was the only child of Roger and Oriana Hedgehog, her father being a hedgehog and her mother a porcupine. They lived happily, but soon after Haylie was born, Robotnik took control of all Mobius. So they lived in fear and Haylie was raised to never leave her guard down. But when she was seven, her parents were taken and roboticized. Because of this, Haylie kept to herself and never talked to others, and she was hard to reach out to. Constantly she was switched from foster home to foster home, which eventually caused Haylie to become rebellious. And because of these incidents, Haylie finds it hard to trust people. She has an issue with taking people for their word, so she is slow to trust. Haylie gave up being adopted and lived on the streets, constantly avoiding Robotnik and his minions, and trying to keep herself alive. Gradually she became used to this lifestyle, and now it's almost like she's been living this way for all her life. Now Haylie, because she doesn't want kids to go through what she did as a child, steals from the rich and gives to the poor. That's when she meets Manic, and she convinces him that what she's doing is right (that's what she believes). Gradually Manic gets sucked into his old habit...

Peichi wears an orange kimono-type blouse with a dark yellow-striped collar and an orange skirt that goes down to her shins, the hem of the skirt dark yellow. She also wears dark yellow slip-on shoes. She is half a head taller than Trunks. At the end of the series, when she's a young adult, Peichi wears her blue-black hair up in a ponytail hanging from a bun. Personality: Peichi is withdrawn and distant, but very sweet and polite. As she grows to know people better, they'll see her friendly and caring side. She's often very quiet but very helpful, always willing to lend a hand. She keeps her opinions to herself and is too afraid to stand her ground. Peichi is patient but gets upset easily. As she gets older, she opens up more and develops a little backbone, revealing a side of her that likes to have fun. Even though her mother was a superb fighter, Peichi hates violence. She was taught self-defense from her mom and uses it when she has to, but otherwise avoids it altogether. Very very seldom Peichi is stubborn, but when she really sets her mind to something, she won't let anything stand in her way. When she first arrives to the Son household, she flinches whenever someone speaks and cowers back whenever someone reaches out to her. Gradually she overcomes this.

Story/Background: Peichi was the only child to her parents, Parner and Yori. When Yori was little, she was the best friend of Chi Chi, and they grew up very close. But when Yori was at a very young age, her demanding father set her up to marry the best looking boy in all the town, Parner. But while Parner was very attractive, he was cocky, selfish, cruel, and full of himself. Yori was a courageous person and though she was always bold and stood her ground, she backed down to her father's demands and was married to Parner. They moved away, and nobody ever saw them again. But then one day, years later, a helpless ten-year-old girl was literally dumped off at Chi Chi's doorstep. The only belongings the girl had with her was the clothes on her back, a doll clutched in her arm, and a locket that was clutched so hard in her hand that it left an imprint in her palm. Chi Chi took the girl under her wing and took care of her as the daughter she never had. Soon after she had taken Peichi in, however, she opened the locket and inside was a picture of Peichi and Yori. It was then Chi Chi realized that her best friend from childhood was the girl's mother. Peichi bears an obvious resemblance to her mother, having her facial description as well as her beautiful hair. Yori died when Peichi was five, and though she hasn't told anyone, Peichi knows that Parner poisoned Yori. Parner was always careless, self-centered, and abusive, so he dumped off Peichi, not knowing what would happen to her or where exactly he dropped her off at but doesn't care. Peichi helps Chi Chi around the house and often gets sucked in into Goten and Trunks's rambuctious schemes. Trunks has a sometimes obvious crush on Peichi, but she ignores him and pays no attention to it. As they grow older in the series, Peichi and Trunks become very good friends, and although Trunks's crush on her has died down a bit, the feelings for her are still there.

Love Interest: None, but then finally at the end of the series, Trunks.

Description: Corinna is a little bit taller than Toph, she is a slender girl with creamy skin and crystal blue eyes. She has dark brown hair that reaches down to past her shoulders and two short strands of hair sort of like bangs above her left eye. Corinna wears a hanbok, which is a Korean dress (sort of like a kimono) and black slip-on shoes. The top of the hanbok from the waist up is a tannish-white with a black-and-white collar and a black bow on her chest with a long sash hanging down to her knee. From the waist down, the dress is a bright red and it's long and flowing, the hem of the dress brushing the ground. The cuffs of her sleeves are white, and there is a white lacy design on the hem. Personality: Basically like Nova from SRMTHFG. Corinna is very independent and not afraid to say what's on her mind, whether positive or negative. She is bold and mischievious, yet she has a good sense of humor. She is a very demanding, slightly cold to some person who loves to have fun and live life the way she wants to. She likes to take charge and show people what she's made of. Of some things she's closed up about, but usually pretty talkative. She is hesitant about talking about personal things and hides her feelings most of the time. Corinna also has a hot temper. But she has a sweet, caring side and gladly put her life on the line for her loved ones. She usually isn't very helpful but she's very graceful and quick to learn. She's very snappish and hard to get along with at times, and has a hard time trusting. She alway misreads people's intentions and is basically a worst-case scenario type of thinker.

Story/Background: Her father, Hitashi, was good person but was a Firebender, and thus he fought in the war. But he always felt guilty, like he was on the wrong path of life. So when he was badly injured and everyone thought he was dead, he found his chance and managed to escape. He moved on to the Earth Kingdom and changed his name to Gan, and married a beautiful peasant girl named Danica. When Corinna was nine and her little brother, Bo, was four, her father's past rose to the surface and he was killed by the leaders of the town. Danica tried to keep the truth from her daughter, but Corinna had already learned everything. They immediately moved to Ba Sing Se, where several of their family members lived, and began their lives there. Four happy years passed, but everything changed when Corinna one day grew furious when her uncle was teasing her, so bad that a few flames jumped from her hands and burned their table. Everyone was horrified at the discovery, and her family (including her mother, who was bitter over her husband) kicked her out. So Corinna traveled on her own for a long time until she met up with Team Avatar; Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Toph. Then she joined them on their journey, practicing her firebending and teaching Aang whatever she manages to learn. Later, when they pass through Ba Sing Se again, they run into Bo and take him along as well. Corinna is very protective over Bo and loves him very much. (By the way, Bo is the little boy who befriended Appa in Ba Sing Se when he was captured, in the episode, Appa's Lost Days). Corinna and Bo are very close, Bo is a very sweet and loveable little boy. He's very generous and helpful, sometimes a little shy. He can be quirky and sly when he wants to be.

Personality: Bella is bubbly, easily excited, and sweet. She's so cute she is able to click instantly with a stranger on the street. But Bella has a quick temper and is prone to temper tantrums, and she's very stubborn. She has the capability of making you melt with her sweet cuteness or drive you up the walls.

Powers: Bella's powers are triggered by her emotions, something she and Raven have in common. She can make the weather change with her mood. (For example, if she's gloomy and sad, rain starts falling. If she's upset, thunder and lightning. And if she's REALLY mad, a tornado.) And she can teleport, but only if she focuses with all her energy. Bella also has a little telekinesis, but she hasn't completely mastered it yet.

Story/Background: If you haven't figured it out by now, Bella is Raven's little sister. She grew up in Azarath living with her mom, Arella. She never got to see Raven very often, who was being trained by the monks of Azarath and the leaders of Azar. But then Raven ran away to Earth, and Bella was all alone. Trigon destroyed Azarath and killed Arella, then took Bella into captivity and she became his slave. Bella was finally able to run away and teleport to Earth. Because of this, Bella lives in constant secret fear that Trigon will return to capture her. Bella admires her older sister and loves to be around her. She is best friends with Beast Boy, loves to do girl stuff with Starfire, and have eating contests with Cyborg. (Though he usually wins.) Even Robin and Raven grow to have a soft spot for her infectious smile and laughter.

Other: Bella calls Raven a cute nickname that her sister absolutely DESPISES: "Sissy Rae". And she has an obsession with tea parties and waffles. And she laughs and talks alot. Aaaannnd, she has a teddy bear named Mr. Fuzzlebums that Cyborg won for her in a claw machine.

Description: Layla is tall and slender with cascading waves of beautiful auburn hair flowing past her shoulders. She has expressive jade-green eyes that sometimes are hardened or guarded. She is tan with red freckles dotted across her pretty face. She usually wears jean shorts and a t-shirt along with nikes.

Personality: Layla is fierce and determined, and very stubborn. Once she sets her mind to something, there's no convincing her otherwise. She's strong and silent, stands for what she believes is right, and can be very brash when it comes to some things. About her personal life, she's very withdrawn and closed up. And she can totally burn you in an epic comeback contest. :P Once you warm up to her, Layla is very tenderhearted, trustworthy, generous, and brave. She'd put her life on the line for one she holds dear. She's very street-smart, cautious, a diligent planner, and works out the details of something before jumping into it.

Friends/Allies: Luke, Trey, Nina, Matthias, Percy, Alia, Mr. Hendricks, Mr. Talbot, etc.

Rivalries: She gets off on the wrong foot with Emeary (Irony'sFriend's OC) and even though they eventually become good friends, they still have that air of competition.

Story/Background: Layla is the older sister of a third child. She grew up in a household where they managed to get by, not too poor yet not wealthy either. They were always taken care of. Her family consisted of her demanding, bossy mom; her laidback, tightlipped dad; her older vain sister who seemed to have no emotions, Steffi; and her little eight-year-old brother, the third child, Tate. Tate and Layla shared an extremely strong bond and were closest to each other than any other member of the family. They kept him in the stuffy, hot basement and took great lengths to protect him. But one day, the entire family was tense after a rough day and Layla got into a hot argument with Tate. He was so enfuriated that he ran outside and ran through the woods to cool off some steam. Never to return. When the family didn't find him in the attic, their father immediately went out searching for him. A few hours later he returned from the woods with a body in his arms. Tate's. He had gotten shot by a Population police officer. Layla is haunted by the guilt and pain of that incident and carries it inside her, along with the memory of her brother. Feeling obligated to act on his behalf, Layla joined Luke and the others at the Hendricks school. She wants to make it up for her deceased brother somehow, and she feels that this is the appropriate way.

Other: She begins taking doctoring lessons from Mrs. Talbot and eventually becomes the nurse of the group.

Description: True to her name, she has hazel eyes with flecks of gold and amber. Hazel is slender and curvaceous with dark copper skin. She has outrageously curly, dark brown hair that falls slightly past her chin and up in a slight afro. When she straightens her hair, it cascades to the middle of her neck like luscious chocolate waves. She usually wears very cute and snappy outfits, sometimes adding her own touch to her clothes. (So she'll stand out.)

Personality: Hazel is sweet and determined. She has a stubborn, surefire spunk and is not afraid to tell people where she stands. Hazel is considerate of others and will go out of her way to brighten their day. She is extremely loyal and has a sense of humor. She'll occasionally spill a secret, but never intentionally. She tends to beat herself up over silly things like getting a B. She's intelligent and talented, even if she has a major obsession with Skittles. Overall, Hazel's generally cheerful and fun to be around, though she can't stand Jade and they butt heads frequently. She also insists on being called Hazel and never by her real or full name. She'll do anything to stand out.

She ignores Andre and his affections at first, but ends up becoming best friends with him after he backs her up in a fight against Jade. She is very close to Cat and Tori as well. And she refuses to tell anyone her real name, even though she finally tells Andre later (to complete secrecy) while they're writing a song together. He helps her design her locker; metallic with colorful graffiti spelling "Hazel" with a mic at the top beside a boombox.

Description: Melody is extremely attractive for her tender age. Strawberry-blonde ringlets that cascade past her shoulders and honey brown/golden copper (they switch to different colors of brown depending on her mood) eyes that have a way of perceiving the unknown. She is fairly tall and slender for her age, and wears darkwash jean shorts and of course her orange Camp Half-Blood shirt. She is constantly tie-dying sweatbands to wear on her wrists or carving beautiful necklaces to wear.

Personality: Melody is the picture of innocence. She's meek, patient, and adventurous. Unlike her siblings in the Aphrodite cabin, she isn't conceited, vain, or obsessing over her appearance and nails. She wants to stand out and make a difference, prove herself worthy to be a daughter of the goddess of love. She isn't afraid to get down and dirty (even though she does tend to freak sometimes if she doesn't have her daily shower). Melody is perceptive and trustworthy, although she does use her charm manipulatively when utmost needed. She can be innocent and naive, yet wise for her age when it comes to matters of the heart. She's very artsy and creative, and always finds a cheerful side to a situation, always pointing out a different outlook. Melody hates to be a burden and is afraid of the dark. But she has a way of brightening people's days when they're down and she loves to laugh. She's slightly shy when it comes to people she doesn't know, but with her charm, it doesn't take long for her to warm up to them. Melody loves to have fun and live her life to the fullest. She's always willing to help out. Sometimes she has a hard time admitting her feelings, and no matter what, she usually gets/finds herself into trouble or somewhere she doesn't belong.

Story/Background: Melody grew up with her single dad, an artist widely known for his masterpieces, and inherited his creativity. (Although he used to be a ballet instructor, which is how Aphrodite was attracted to him.) One day a week for their father-daughter time, they'd sit and paint together. Mark loved his daughter, but often was too busy for her with his work. One day, though, when she was at the mall with her nanny, Gabriella, and her friend, Grover (yup- he was her protector, too. Unknown to her at the time, however) when demons straight out of her nightmares attacked them. Grover took her to Camp Half-Blood safely, which she was confused about ("My mom's a goddess?! No wonder Dad never had any pictures of her!"), but gradually adapted to. When she first meets Nico, she's slightly intimidated by him, but later taken with his looks, bravery, and love for McDonald's.

Skills/Abilities: Melody has sharp vision, manipulating skills, can detect someone's weakness or default immediately, and is excellent with a dagger in battle. She's quick to dodge and counter. She can move swiftly and stealthily. Melody doesn't have charmspeak (the Aphrodite trademark), but she can heal people by just kissing their faces, and she can completely relax someone by massaging their shoulders. She used to take gymnastics and ballet, so she can do all that cool stuff. xD She used to compete in beauty pageants when she was little.

Description: Kyra is tall and slender with short, straight golden brown hair (that cascades past her shoulders as the series progresses) and olive green eyes. She wears dark blue skinny-jean type pants that connect to her sandals, and green tanktop-like shirt with a black camisole underneath. Personality: Kyra is slightly withdrawn and mild-mannered. She usually stands on the sidelines and uplifts others, yet she will join in on the action if needed. She's very skittish and at times a pushover, scared of others' disapproval. She is made of patience and doesn't get angry easily. But when she does, Kyra has a way of cutting others to the core. Generally softspoken and polite most of the time, Kyra's a little shy but isn't afraid to show her daring, outgoing, and comical side once she warms up to someone. She's street-smart but sometimes jumps into things without thinking. Kyra's trustworthy and faithful to keep her word. She's very expressive and talks with her countenance most of the time. For the most part, she trusts people too easily which ends up hurting her in the long run. She has a way of overreacting and is typically a worst-case scenario type of thinker. She's also slightly OCD. All things considered, Kyra's a loyal friend and fun to be around. Her fatal flaw - Kyra is a big crier. She usually doesn't trust her intuition, afraid that if she acts out on it everything will backfire and crash down around her. She's also extremely insecure and sells herself short, believing herself to be good for nothing.

Story/Background: The daughter of two faithful Anbu Blackops, Kyra was raised in a hard household. She had genin-level experience while she was still starting ninja academy. Her parents were extremely hard on her, pressuring her to become something out of her league. When she didn't please them (which was always), they would put her down and think her a mistake. Kyra always felt like a failure around them. They were on patrol 24/7, so most of her life Kyra lived with her older brother, Haru, whom she fondly refers to as Nii-san. Haru always took good care of and protected his sister. As a result, they have a strong bond. Kyra was typically lonely and didn't grow up with many friends since she was so withdrawn. The only person she felt a real connection to was her adult brother.

Squad: Kyra is assigned to a squad with Kaida Yukiten (MissFaerieKaiti's OC), who she's wary of at first but they eventually end up as wonderful friends; and Hotori Yamagi, an obnoxious boy who both girls can't stand. He has a way of taking all the glory for himself and always insisting he should be team leader. Their sensei is Kyra's older Jonin brother, Haru. He calls her imouto, which both pleases and embarrasses her.

Jutsu: Kyra's chakra nature is water, thus specializing in water jutsus and also taijutsu. She maneuvers the littlest drop with grace and ease. In taijutsu, she she's excellent at countering and finding an open opportunity to attack. She's precise and fluid in her movements, and she has quick reflexes. She learns and catches on rather quickly, even if she doesn't master the move right away.

Other: Haru is tall and handsome, with blondish-brown hair and the same eyes as Kyra. He's patient yet firm and never a bad word about anyone. He's caring, hilariously humorous (xD), down to earth, and epic. Additional: Kakashi's deceased squadmember, Rin, was Kyra's older sister but died before she was born. Kyra's unaware of this. The reason why her parents put such high expectations on her is because they want her to grow up to be like Rin, and since Kyra looks so much like her elder sister, it hurts them to look at her because they're reminded of what they lost. Haru was very close to Rin and oftentimes spots many similarities between Kyra and Rin, very proud of her. Haru was trained by Sakumo Hatake before he committed suicide; Haru graduated Academy when he was eight and is a master of all five chakra elements.

Notes: Kyra and Haru's parents, Sachimo and Rikki Temachi, were in a squad with Sakumo Hatake when they were all young. Rikki came from the Nohara clan, a clan known for their outstanding medical ninjutsu. The Nohara trademark is purple rectangles on their cheeks. Rin was the only one of the Temachis who inherited the Nohara traits, which is why Rikki insisted on Rin going by her maiden name.

She's half a head shorter than Naruto and tanner. She usually always wears a soft smile on her pretty face, bringing out the merry sparkle in her forest-green eyes. She wears navy blue skin-tight, knee-length shorts and a white, purple-striped t-shirt that has a turtleneck. She wears slip-on sandals the same color as her shirt. She still wears one black sweatband on her left forearm, and bandages all down her right arm. Kyra still wears her Shinobi headband on her head like a bandana to keep her hair out of her face. Personality: Kyra is wiser and has developed more backbone, speaking out when necessary. She's protective of those she holds dear, more attentive, alert, and less uptight. She likes to tease and ease up every once in a while, but she knows when to be serious. She's intelligent and less naive, accepting the fact that people will hurt her in life but not afraid to trust anymore, although she is more perceptive and cautious. She's pretty much the same as she was except more open. Kyra's better about not jumping to conclusions and will think something through before diving into it. She's known for her open honesty and has the right words to say if someone needs a touch of advice. She has a way of bringing up different outlooks, true motives, and causing people to reflect. Kyra knows that bravery is not being unafraid, but rather, acting when you ARE scared. She puts it into practice regularly. Kyra can be unsure of herself at times but that doesn't stop her from living life to the fullest. She's definitely more confident of herself than when she first became a genin, not afraid to believe in herself now. She's come to terms that she'll make mistakes, but the important thing is to learn from them.

Other: Kyra has grown and matured with her squad, learning to accept them. She and Kaida have become the best of friends, each knowing the other with a depth of personal experience. Even Hotori is tolerant to be around. Haru cares for his students in a deep and intimate way, knowing their limits, skills, strategies, and weaknesses. He's seen the worst an dbest of them and has come out on top. Haru's proud to see how much his imouto's grown. Unfortunately, though, he's considering following in his parents' footsteps and becoming an Anbu Blackop, something Kyra is NOT happy about. Description(s): Akila is an albino, short and petite with shoulder-length, thick white hair and striking crimson-red eyes framed by long white eyelashes. She has pale skin and a delicate, cutely shaped frame. She has a cute, pixie-like face, very pretty in her own way. Lyle is her polar opposite; tall, lean, built, and tan. He has shaggy dark brown hair and matching eyes that are so dark you can barely see the pupils. His features are extremely attractive.

District: 8, where fabrics is the specialty.

Backgrounds: Akila is an only child to overprotective parents, and due to her skin being so sensitive as she's an albino, wasn't allowed to go outside much as a child. At school, kids avoided her like the plague because she was different and they thought what she had was somehow contagious. Lyle wasn't scared, though, and in his own way began to spend time with her, and soon the two became best friends from childhood growing up, practically inseparable. But when Lyle got older, he had to get a job and start working to help put food on the table for his family (he's the oldest of five; he has four little sisters), and he and Akila drifted apart when they had to stop spending time with each other. But when they're both chosen at the Reaping as the District 8 tributes for the 73rd annual Hunger Games, they're forced to come together again. It's awkward between them at first, but their bond instantly rekindles and they become an unstoppable duo.

Abilities: Even though Akila's more susceptible to getting sunburns easily, due to her small form she can leap great distances and run extremely fast. She is very flexible and can squeeze into the smallest of spaces and easily weave herself out of a predicament. She's very quick and precise with her aim. Lyle's specialty is hand to hand combat, he can put up a good, intense fight, and is skilled and accurate with his arm. His sharp mind can quickly devise a plan or retaliation in no time flat. Due to his muscular frame, he is also very strong, being able to counter or block an attack with ease.

Personalities: Akila is sweet and bubbly, friendly to everyone she meets. She has an outright rebellion to the Capitol and isn't afraid to lash out at them publicly, though Lyle tries to stop her from the bold act. She's sheltered in many ways, innocent, and has a good heart. Though she hates the idea of killing other tributes, she has long decided that she'll do whatever's necessary. Lyle is the strong and silent type, epic in his own quiet way. He's the type of cool guy that girls always fall for. Really Akila is the only one who ever knows what's going through his mind, knowing him with the deep familiarity of growing up with him. Whenever he does speak, he has something important to say. He has a kind heart deep down, but shows it to nobody but Akila. He's very protective of his best friend, gentle in chides, and quick to defend her. Lyle secretly harbors feelings for Akila but hasn't revealed them, and Akila does too but doesn't realize it, instead acknowledging it as the bond between best friends. She's very loyal to Lyle and quick to hearken to him, though sometimes playfully argues with him.

Other: In the chariot-riding part of the Hunger Games, to represent District 8's main fabric export, Akila wears a baby blue ball gown that accentuates her slender form and pale skin, whereas Lyle wears a sharp black tuxedo with a blue tie to match Akila's dress. She never lets go of his hand. In the interviews, Akila is portrayed as the cutely innocent, naive girl with spunk, whilst Lyle is known as the strong and silent, epic tough guy. Even before the Hunger Games start, they make an alliance with Libby Winchester (Irony'sFriend's OC) due to her outright rebellion against her fellow tribute and the Capitol. (Akila approves - as mentioned before, she absolutely hates the Capitol with a passion.) Deep into the Hunger Games, Lyle dies taking a blow for Akila that was aimed at her. On his dying breath Lyle reveals to Akila that he's always loved her. After that, Akila's sweet nature hardens with resentment and suspicion. She becomes always on the defense and putting everything she has into winning the Hunger Games for Lyle. And she does - she ends up being declared the winner of the 73rd Hunger Games. But she's never the same again - silent and sullen, in grieving for Lyle, always suspicious of everyone and never opening her trust to another person. She builds up walls and always has a guard over her eyes, though she does have her dry, witty moments. She's just more isolated. In the rebellion that occurs at District 8 (as mentioned in Catching Fire), Lyle's parents and three of his sisters are killed, leaving behind only six-year-old Leila. Akila takes Leila in and makes it her duty to care for her deceased best friend's sister.

Description: Akari is your typical cutesy anime girl - with a cute figure and an ample chest that the school uniform does well to conceal. She has long, peach-colored hair that trails past her shoulders, little sections of hair at either side of her head pulled into tiny pigtails amidst her hair, secured with floral hairclips. Personality: Akari is extremely bashful, prone to blushing and shy body language such as tapping her pointer fingers together or swaying on her heels. She's very softspoken, kindhearted, and sweet as can be. Though she's easily flustered, and when that happens, when she tries to talk, her words come out in a rush and all run together, making it hard to understand her sometimes when she's embarrassed or overwhelmed. Her eyes always convey the emotions she's feeling, even when her blushy, shy composure doesn't.

Backstory: When she was alive, Akari was an orphan, switching from foster home to foster home, none of which were good environments. She was abused in every way, scarcely allowed outside, and never attended school. There was one home she was put in that was a wonderful one; her foster mom, Miu, was a bookstore owner, so she taught Akari how to read and instilled within her a great passion for reading. Unfortunately, the adoption was never secured, and Akari was sent to another home. But before she was, Miu gave Akari a book to take with her - The Tales of Shira. That book literally changed Akari's life. Upon reading, she was instantly taken with the main character, Shira. The story was all about the heroic Shira and his epic adventures of saving people in trouble. Shira was what motivated Akari to get through each day, what gave her strength. Her dream became to meet someone exactly like Shira, who would save her from her calamity. But before that could happen, Akari's life met an untimely end by the hand of her last foster father, who was an alcoholic and went too far when intoxicated one night. In the afterlife, Akari instantly knew something was amiss, but never asked anyone about it because she was too shy. She went through the motions of the day-by-day school, unaccustomed to the routine since she'd never once attended school in her life, but she was quick to adjust. Just as she felt hopelessly stuck in a rut, consumed by loneliness, that all changed when Akari met the Student Council's Vice President, Naoi Ayato. In her eyes, he was the manifestation of Shira himself, with his rule-abiding heroisms (again, in her eyes). Her afterlife was suddenly given meaning, and falling in love with Naoi is what helps her maintain her balance in the Afterlife (in addition to her horrible grades). Akari is instantly infatuated with Naoi, sending him anonymous, sweetly written love letters that she sticks into his locker. One day, however, he catches her in the act, much to her distress. Naoi, though, is pleased with the attention and takes to her. She becomes his shadow, walking alongside him everywhere, and Naoi is more than happy to have such a faithful follower worthy of a god like himself. He begins to realize that Akari's no NPC, that she's real, and has her join the Battlefront. From then on, Naoi only grows fonder of Akari, since recognition and acknowledgment is truly all he's ever wanted, and Akari does nothing but lavish him with attention. Instead of calling him simply "Naoi" like everyone else does, Akari calls him either "Ayato-sama" or "senpai" or "my lord". In her eyes, Naoi's truly fitting to be the god of this world, since he's the god in hers. Akari has a habit of cutely grasping his sleeve whenever they're surrounded by a roomful of people. After Otonashi announces his idea of everyone coming to peace with their past lives so they can disappear and move on, Akari considers the notion seriously. Right before the big battle with the shadow monsters, Akari pulls Naoi aside to truly confess her love for him, explaining to him about Shira and thanking him for saving her and making her the happiest she's ever been. Afterwards, she moves on from the Afterlife with a smile.

Other: Since, in the afterlife, whatever scars you died with stay with you, Akari has horribly disfigured scars lining her arms, wrists, and hands from where she was horribly beaten. She never got treatment, so they never healed properly. Due to this reason, she wears oversize sleeves and is always self-consciously pulling her sleeves down over her hands, out of habit. She hates her scars.

Personality: Menma is very much a tsundere. Not in the way Ren is; no, she's a violent tsundere. The slightest hint of a compliment earns a "B-baka!" and a punch, slap, or kick. She's heavily sarcastic, very crude, and an avid curser. She's very prideful, not admitting when she's wrong. Even if she does appreciate a kind word or sentiment, she usually covers it up with harsh, insulting words in return. She doesn't like to accept help from anyone, viewing that as a sign of weakness, and has a hard time communicating with others due to her natural ferocity. Menma does, though, care very deeply for her friends, and will do anything to protect them. She's very easily angered, and sometimes when she gets pissed off enough, she's prone to entering such a violent and enraged fit that it causes her to black out and she never remembers it upon awakening. Menma is very stubborn, but does have a soft side she scarcely ever shows.

Backstory: Menma was raised by parents who were infamously known as the Deadly Xerins. They were wizards who were repeatedly kicked out of numerous guilds, then had decided to form an unofficial Dark Guild composed of rejected mages, like them. Menma was grown up in a violent, crime-infested lifestyle, so learned to be violent, mean, and ruthless, and hadn't known any better. When she was sixteen, her parents and their guild were finally taken siege by the Magic Council Rune Knights. That's when Menma met Eve Tearm, who had been part of the council at that time. Instantly taken with her, Eve pleaded for her freedom on her behalf, and it was earned so long as Menma would join a proper guild. Around that time was when the dissolution of the Council began to happen, so when Eve disbanded from the Rune Knights and joined Blue Pegasus, he took Menma with him. Ever since, Eve is the only person Menma considers a friend. Though she always treats him as rudely as she does anyone else, she never means it, and Eve puts in the effort to read the intentions behind her words and actions, never taking offense, which she's secretly endeared by. In public, Eve flirts with her as he does any girl as a Trimens member - asks to be her brother, calls her beautiful, etc. Which of course always earns him a punch or smack, but he never ceases in his administrations. In private, they really are the best of friends. Menma never calls Eve by his name unless she's being serious. Normally she calls him by a vast series of nicknames, variating from "pretty boy" to "dumbass" and even "Christmas carol," due to his title as Holy Night. She has a habit of slapping her hand to his face when she wants him to shut up or go away. Even though people look down on Menma being the classy Eve's friend, due to her contrasting crudeness and vulgarity, Eve is never embarrassed or ashamed to be seen with her, something Menma secretly appreciates. It isn't long before they begin to fall for each other, though they don't get together until after the timeskip.

Powers/Abilities: Besides being good with hand-to-hand combat, Menma learned a special kind of magic from her parents. Her dad was able to draw power from the sun and use the sunlight for energy beams, whilst her mom did the same with the moon. Together, her parents were able to manipulate the darkness and make the shadows bend to their will. However, Menma was only taught the sun and moon technique. She only picked up on the sun magic, much to her parents' disappointment (though she eventually learns the moon one later during the timeskip). Because of this, Menma is rendered useless as a wizard at night and so has to be partnered up with someone whenever she takes a mission, much to her irritation.
