He decides that she’s endured enough for today even if he isn’t entirely satisfied yet. He releases her from the curse then takes a seat in the armchair across from the fireplace, studying his protégé- victim? –as she picks herself up.

In a major display of boldness, she crawls to him and climbs onto the chair with him to settle on his lap. He is surprised at this, but he does not verbally object.

“My Bella?” He whispers. The possessive phrasing is intentional, making it sound like a question is not.

Her thin arms wrap loosely around his neck. “I know you’re sorry,” she responds so quietly. He doesn’t entirely understand that, he feels little remorse and certainly made no apology. It must be simply that she wants to believe he is. “Please,” she begs, her lips brushing his ear, her words are almost silent, quieter than a whisper. “I forgive you. Please, just hold me.”

Between my 40 hour work weeks, two college classes, family issues, and my boyfriend, I almost never have free time anymore. I will do my best to read, review, write, and update as much as I can, but no promises. Sorry.

I'm having an impossible time writing for other fandoms. I need to watch Repo and Sweeney Todd again and re-read Fight Club, possibly that will provide some inspiration, the way seeing the new HP movie inspired my Harry Potter stories... FC, ST and Repo fans, please bear with me.

I do not multitask well: my main writing focuses at the moment are You Found Me, The Prettiest Appendage, and When You Were Young. Most of my other projects are on temporary hiatus.

HP6 movie was amazing. You must see it if you haven't already.

xDoubleIdemnity and I both attempted to write an AU in which Bellatrix and Rodolphus never joined the Death Eaters. It really is impossible to imagine.

Harry Potter:

A BL/BCJ set early in the first war, somewhat requited and including BL/LV references... (giftfic for Inkfire)

A Draco/Pansy set in their sixth year, plenty of angst and fluff. (giftfic for Xx starlight-moon xX)

Misery Loves Company- Bellatrix/Voldemort set early in the first war and using their CANON 24 year age difference. Dark, messy.

What Chance Has a Seventeen Year Old Girl?: Bellatrix and Rabastan's relationship as portrayed in "You Found Me."

The Azkaban Redemption: (title is a play on Shawshank Redemption, similarities end there) Belladolphus angst during their imprisonment and escape.

What Bellatrix and Rodolphus' relationship would be like if they had never wanted to join the Dark Lord and were instead manipulated into recruitment against their will. (Obviously, it's an AU.)

Everything the Lestranges do between hearing of the Dark Lord's defeat and being arrested.

Until Proven Guilty: a slightly AU oneshot in which Rodolphus tries to convince Bellatrix to plea insanity in order to avoid Azkaban. (Being beta read by the amazing xoxLewrahxox.) It went through four rewrites and I'm still not happy with it. Sorry it's taking so long...

Fight Club:

(My first attempt at humor fanfiction): A ridiculous AU in which Marla figures out the narrator's split personality before he does and convinces him that she and Tyler are getting married.

Marla's thoughts about "the whole space monkey soap making organization." (Book fic).

Sweeney Todd:

Mrs. Lovett's attempt to convince the Judge to let her raise Johanna.

What happened to Toby, Anthony, and Johanna after the movie.

Repo! The Genetic Opera:

Nathan and Marni's final moments together told in verse.

A three shot dealing with confessions, heartache, and the possibility that Rotti Largo is Shilo's father. (Marni, Nathan, and Mag narrate alternatively).

You Compare Me to a Corpse: Shilo's adventures before and after the movie. Will feature lines from "Seventeen" and "Infected."

About Me:

I am Lia the Strange One, also known as Jacalyn Hyde. (It's a play on Jekyll and Hyde in case that wasn't obvious. It's fun to be two people.)

I owe my sanity (or, perhaps, my insanity) to J. K. Rowling, Chuck Palahniuk, and Tim Burton.

My stories are mostly Harry Potter ones and most of those are about Bellatrix. I guess now it's kind of redundant to state who my favorite character is. I portray her very differently in my "Bellatrix the Strange" series than in my "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" series. You might like one if not the other, or maybe even both... Actually, I use different versions of all canon characters in every one of my stories. For example, Rodolphus is abusive toward Bella in "The Prettiest Appendage" but endlessly devoted to her in "When You Were Young".

I rarely use the Dark Lord's real name because I think like Bellatrix when I write and she wouldn't say His name.

I say "dabble" instead of "drabble" because "dabble" means "partial immersion" and "drabble" doesn't actually appear in my dictionary.

My favorite colors are blood red, dark green, royal purple and Sirius Black.

I have the most random taste in music. My favorites (aside from the Sweeney Todd soundtrack) are Paramore, AFI, Emilie Autumn, Alanis Morissette, The Killers, The Fray, Evanescence, Bowling for Soup, Maroon Five, Good Charlotte, No Doubt, and Green Day.

I often contradict myself, please tell me if I do that too much... I know it's a bad habit but if you make it an issue, I'll kill you.

I read more romance fics than can possibly be healthy for me.

I like humor fics as long as they're amusing and not perverse or stupid.

I'm open minded but usually prefer intriguing, ironic, and Dark stories.

I believe life is give and take. I can't promise, but if I get nice, constructive reviews, I return that favor as often as I can.

MrsMargeryLovett: She is incredibly kind to review my stories with very thoughtful comments that are always helpful and amusing even though I am terrible about returning her reviews. When I Look At Yougot me into Sweeney Todd fanfiction and The Chosen One is her promising new Harry Potter story.

Xx starlight-moon xX : What can I say? She is a truly, TRULY awesome person. Her compliments make me laugh and smile and her criticism is always constructive, honest, and thoughtful. She tolerates my anti-Snape rants and (aside from a SnapeXNarcissa incident that I will never forgive her for) all of her characters are beautifully and realistically portrayed. Protege Moi is fantastic even if it does mislead you along the Lucitrix path a little bit. : ) It's sequel is equally and perhaps even more amazing. (She's on temporary hiatus because her computer is evil, I miss her terribly.)

Inkfire : Very sweet reviewer and endlessly thoughtful in messages. She has given me wonderful encouragement and valuable suggestions for my stories and she reviewed everything of mine during my hiatus, even without any hope of reply from me. She is also bilingual. If you are fortunate enough to speak French (I wish I could) you should definitely check her out. But she writes in English too: poems like Victory for Harry Potter, Peter Pan, and Twilight (I still have yet to read them all) and character building pieces like Black Girl , about young Bellatrix.

My Stories:

For some strange, non-apparent reason, I love stories about one-sided affections. I plan to write some Bellamort and Sweenett, but I mostly do Belladolphus. (Bellatrix/ Voldemort, Sweeney Todd/ Mrs. Lovett, and Bellatrix/ Rodolphus... Guess which ones have the unrequited feelings?) I've read some fics where these ships actually work but in mine they mostly won't. Sorry to disappoint all the hopeless romantics out there... Most of my stories are about Bellatrix and Rodolphus as teenagers.

One more thing, I keep forgetting to put this in my fics, but I think it's obvious I don't own Harry Potter or anything from JKR's world. I do not own anything Fight Club related, nor do I ever talk about it. Ever. Obsessing over something is not the same as owning it, apparently, so Sweeney Todd and Repo! are not mine either. Most of the drama in my stories is of my own creation and my original characters are mine. That's about it.
