I have quit writing fanfiction for years now, for many reasons, the simplest one being: I've outgrown it. I still love Harry Potter and pop into ff.net to read fics from time to time, but writing HP fanfiction is something I am not interested in anymore.

Initially, I left my stories up here, even if they made me cringe (Seriously? This is what my 13 to 15 year old self considered to be good writing?). But people often leave me reviews asking me to update. Deleting these unfinished stories (I'd start a story, write around 3 chapters, get a new idea for another story, and completely abandon the one I was working on) is my way of ensuring that people won't read a badly written fanfic and be left hanging if ever they liked it.

I don't know if people will even read this, but I felt that I owe an explanation to the supportive readers who have left me reviews and who have added me and my stories to their favorites/author alert list. Thank you for all your support. You encouraged a teenager who loved reading and writing to continue to learn and improve her craft.
