Search 'Kodo drummers' on youtube and you'll probably get a bunch of videos of exemplary taiko, to taiko-inception your life. In case you are wondering, my avatar is NOT the Sharingan. The 'three comma' symbol is called a mitsudomoe and it's a Shinto symbol. Wiki it if you want to know more about it in that regard-- I have it on my avatar because it is often used in taiko, branded either on the drum heads or on the performers' clothes. Ahem. But as to me as a writer... I tend to gravitate toward characters who are ridiculously cool BAMFs. Generally, they become too cool to exist in their worlds and their creators have to kill them off or make them otherwise less cool, so that the created world does not implode from excess awesome. Or at least, that's what I believe happens. Of course, I then become extremely irate when my favorite characters die in the canon. So I tend to write them back alive in my fanfics. Which makes most of them AU, I suppose. I'm also a little bit obsessed with the time-travel/parallel universe gambits. Blanket Disclaimer: I make no money off of writing here.
