I have seven different multi chapter stories. But none of them are finished. I always lose interest. I have a sonic fanfic, a Scott Pilgrim fanfic, a Portal ff,a Soul Eater FF, and some others. And the problem is, I always put the same guy in all of them. Jace Raven. Originally made to be a space pirate version of Jack Sparrow, he's evolved into the person I wish I was. And I gave him a brother, Steven who's basically who I am but don't want to be. And there's Valek, the homicidal robot, who I kinda hope isn't a self insert as well.

I put them in EVERYTHING I WRITE.

1) Jace is the Main guy in "Soul Eater: Next Generation" Who basically hates on the Shinigami's and ends up killing the leader. he starts out as a weapon, and Steven is his meister. I stopped writing it becuase I couldn't find the next manga pages online, but it was good, because it had shades of greey morality, and jace has to fight his brother, who fight side by side and are an awsome team for the first five chapters.
2) Steven is the Main guy in "Steven Raven VS the World" Who dates a girl who has a dozen superpowered evil exes, the eigth being Scott Pilgrim himself. there's a lot of stuff going on, including a twenty something guy banging a 17 year old, getting arrested, and riding out of jail on his shapeshifter freind in the form of a Rhino. And they kill a tentacle monster with the power of Heavy Metal. It has a training montage. The readers wanted me to include Kim Pine, but I couldn't see a version where Steven didn't die.
3) Valek plays a homicidal robot spider in "V-Alek" who's out to get revenge against Glados, but tries to kill Chell along the way. I couln't carry on because I couldn't forsee an ending that didn't involve Valek escaping Aperture after murdering everyone, then going on to kill all the Combine.

I also had a story where the zombie virus infected Konoha, but regardless, it seams that I don't like writing about other people's characters. I don't see a show, and think to myself "Gee, I should write a story were Joey and Monica get drunk and have a one night stand, and Monica get's pregnant and they start a family." or even "gee, I should write a story were my OC and Monica get drunk and have a one night stand, then he leaves like a douche when she finds out she's pregnant."
I think "Gee, I should write a story about a stupid guy hooking up with his best freind's sister, and then he leaves when she finds out she's pregnant. Then her brother chases him down and they have a Kung-Fu fight in a thunderstorm whiles a building burns in the background."
I can't relate to these made up characters, just the ones I made up.
Even with Harry Potter, Strea and I have this idea for a story about a guy who goes to Hogwarts three years after Harry. Absolutely NONE of the cast of the original seven books show up. (Proffessors don't count) And McGonagle isn't even the headmistress (Hehe, Mistress) and the guy goes to Ravenclaw, and it's like a magical Degrassi, or Glee, Or Dawson's Creek. I don't know. What shows do teenagers watch that are about other teenagers in highschool and their menial problems? whatever, it's like that, except some guy casts a spell to make a girl's skirt fly up and stuff. And his dad is a cyborg wizard who wants to unite Muggles and Wizards, but everyone thinks he's evil becuase Science and Magic have no place together and he's kinda to blame as well because he acts like a supervillian. Strea wants to put in this scene where he has a meeting with Japanese wizards, but I don't really like it because it involves a ninja fight.

Basically, I just want to write stories where my characters live in the worlds of other people's stories. Am I insane for wanting the oposite of all those people who wrote stories about anime characters going to an average highschool because I write a story about people based off real people going to fight Zombie Godzilla things with Samuri Mechs?
