| Pimpernel Princess |
Author has written 12 stories for Scarlet Pimpernel, Fairy Tales, Lord of the Rings, Diana Wynne Jones, Beauty and the Beast, Sherlock Holmes, Sense and Sensibility, and Gone with the Wind. 4-11-2009: I am back from my hiatus, refreshed and ready for the Jackernackey to descend. I have plans to finish Wolf-Maiden and A Not-Officially-Tolkien-Approved-Parody and the League of Gentlemanly Gentleman (a crossover of epic proportions). Don't panic. Life is still trying to suck me into its black hole of nothingness, but it is greatly improved. Time is my number-one enemy, and my muse, the elusive and very teasing Jackernacky is egressing from its vacation in eastern climes. You made it to my profile. Congratulations! I hope you survive the journey to catch the very large, very fierce, and very lazy Jackernackey... My Muse: Speaking of the Jackernackey, it is my very lazy muse. I've only ever gotten glimpses of it, but I do know that it has the horns of a ram, eyes like an egyptian statue, and spikes all down its dragonesque tail. It loves travel, especially when it can see mountains, and classical orchestral music, especially the violin, viola, or cello. When I actually want it, it runs and hides, but when unbidden, it comes from behind and bites me. My Favorite Books (Actually, more like just books I enjoy reading. Bold indicates a ranking in my top 5 books right now...): The Scarlet Pimpernel, El Dorado, I Will Repay, Sir Percy Hits Back, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Gone With the Wind, Twilight, Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Inkheart, Inkspell, Inkdeath, The Darkangel Trillogy, Beauty, Quo Vadis, Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Air, The Dark Lord of Derkholm, Horatio Hornblower, My Side of the Mountain, The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia, Little Women, The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, River Secrets, The Bobby Pendragon Series, Rose Daughter, Finding God in the Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride, Little House in the Big Woods, Redwall, Jane Eyre, Maximum Ride, The Silmarillion, The Ranger's Apprentice, The Virginian, Wuthering Heights, Sherlock Holmes, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Westing Game and the list goes on... My Favorite Musicals: The Scarlet Pimpernel, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables, Lord of the Rings, Little Women, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Oklahoma!, Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, and Mamma Mia. Mozart is my favorite composer ever. I wish I lived in an alternate universe where he had lived 10 years longer--imagine the great operas he would have given us. My favorite opera is The Marriage of Figaro, but I also like The Magic Flute, Cosi Fan Tutte, Susannah, and La Traviata. Opera is not dead, nor doth it sleep. I write for fun, but I would greatly appreciate any constructive critism on my work. I know my writing could use some improvement, but it can only improve if I get some tips on it. Things I Like: music, theater, musical theater, my wonderful family, church organs, opera, laughing, talking, reviews, my mom's potato soup, Animaniacs, freshly baked bread, painting my toenails, ipods, God, socks, universities, rhinestones, singing, reading, glitter, high c's, liberty, history, costumes, Beauty and the Beast, candy, adventures, pianos, well-written fanfiction, Europe, Sundays, dancing, the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings movies, Music History, suprises, watching NFL football, classic rock music, purple lace, birthday cards, my part-time job as a seamstress, lip gloss, the band Queen, when my hair looks nice, hot water, church, fairy tales, summer, the constellation Orion, The Quiet Man, old movies, and writing. Things I Don't Like: MATHEMATICS, being sick, Mary Sues, needles, abortion, rap music, doctor's offices, braces, glasses, awkwardness, feeling too young, feeling too old, losing, making mistakes, not being able to dance or play piano well, High School Musical, having people hover over me while I try to work on something, Avenue Q, medicine, being tired, boring commercials, swearing, others being mushy when I don't really feel that way, when other people view me as snobbish, getting on time, bureaucracy, bad hair days, slash, bad acting, typos, misspellings, gramatical errors, and when people don't review my stories. Updates will be a bit sporadic becuase of this crazy and rather odd spectacle called life... Catch your Jackernackeys! Feel free to PM me if you get bored or need a recommendation. | |||||
