Author has written 8 stories for Big O, Pet Shop of Horrors, and Invader Zim.

1/8/2012

Greetings readers!

I… well… I don’t know how to say this. I suppose, in a way, my years long silence and lack of posting is in and of itself telling but I owe it to readers to speak those two simple words.

It’s time.

I think I should, and have finally reached the point in my fannish life where I would like to, at last, retire this name and its stories.

It’s perhaps not the most shocking of announcements given the lack of updates but I thought I’d finally give words to the simple fact that the years themselves attest to. It’s something that I’ve been lying to myself about forever now but, as hard as it was for me to admit it, these stories will never be finished. My love and passion of fandom has not diminished in the least (and indeed, grown) it’s just… I am not the same person I was when I first posted these stories. Believe it not I was fourteen when I posted my first fic here. As stupid and sappy and over the top as it might seem this here? This website and name and these stories are a huge part of me and are an unbelievable highpoint of my life. I’ve seen a lot of bad sides to fandom in my subsequent years of lurking but you know what? I’ve personally never been subjected to it. Instead I've been incredibly lucky and got the best parts of it. I've had a lot of fantastic readers and their reviews and enthusiastic response meant a lot to the shy, sheltered homeschooled kid that first began here. People may rag but you know what? Fan fiction has made me a better writer and taught me a lot.

PSOH and Big O shall always be my “it” fandoms. PSOH let me find and unleash my inner horror fan and find myself and my own voice while Big O will always, always be the show that got me through one of the hardest times ever in my life.

It’s just… like all things, I’ve moved forward.

I thought long and hard about leaving my stories up. (Especially since I still get hits and favorited.) After all surely some enjoyment can be derived even from unfinished stories, but I think by doing that it is a bit of a disservice to loyal readers, a broken, unfinished promise. And ultimately this is, in a way, my childhood. I look at it and see nothing but wonderful memories and I don’t want to leave it here. Forever unchanged (unlike me) and frozen in time unfulfilled.

However I hate it when authors take down their work without notice and seeing as my stories generate hits still I’ve reached a decision. I will be pulling all stories and delete this name and my associated LJ on May 9th. So if you want to copy any of these stories for your own personal library it will hopefully give you enough time to do so. I just ask that you don’t post them anywhere else online without my permission.

Until then, my loyal readers, followers, reviewers? I am sorry I lead you on, but I am so very thankful for every last one of you. You have no idea what you mean to me!

We have come to terms
