Author has written 12 stories for Chuck, and Bones. I'm a computer nerd so of course, Chuck has always held a favorite place in my heart and until the end of the second season it was the focus of my work, unfortunately the third season pretty much killed what I liked about the show and even though it's gotten much, much better I just haven't been able to find my "Chuck" voice again. If I do, and I hope I do, I'll be finishing my Chuck stories because I never intended to let them go this long without being done - totally done - a long time ago. With Chuck out of the picture, theoretically, I devoted myself to BONES, my other love, and it has been the focus of much of my fandom and, being the knowledge geek that I am, I've read a few books on Forensic Anthropology as well as the basics of crime scene protocol. So what has happened with BONES? Well, Hart Hanson has seen fit to destroy the franchise because he honestly believes that if he lets Booth and Brennan get together folks will stop watching. Guess what? They're already stopping Hart - NO ONE LIKES WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO OUR SHOW! *UGH* So now the question, why do I write? Or more accurately, what brings me to fandom? Well I've always been a writer, since I was in my teens, and once, many years ago, I even managed to get a few poems published, but life being what it is I eventually walked away from writing so I could try and grow up...ya' know what? Growing up was over rated and I came back to writing. Now, while I am working on a book and some original fiction with my girlfriend I also spend a lot of time reading and writing in fandom because the challenge it presents - established characters in a predefined world. Writing under those strictures is more challenging than original fiction and because of that I've found my orgininal writing is getting even better now. There's another reason I like fandom though, and that's the fact that I'm a shipper and exploring relationships in ficdom gives one the lattitude missing from the realm of TV. So even though Hart has managed to screw up BONES beyond belief I'm still going to stick it out, I'm just ignoring the entire sixth season because it's unmitigated CRAP. UPDATE Yes, I am still MIA from Chuck-dom and, unfortunately, it'll stay that way for some time. I am making an effort to finish Chuck v. Topeka but I won't be posting anymore until I've got enough to pretty much wrap it up entirely. That means it'll be another few months at least. There have also been were some health issues (two surgeries in the last three months) and my recovery has taken a lot longer than I'd anticipated even though it's actually going much better than the doctors' thought possible. Now the writer's block issue. Well it's hard enough to write when you've got people pestering you constantly because of your recovery but it's even harder when the shows you love decide to suck the fun right out of watching them. *sigh* Well I'll keep trying but no guarantees. I can't apologize enough for leaving all y'all hanging with the stories but I do plan on finishing everything eventually. Even if no one's around to read it. Take care folks!
