Author has written 17 stories for Sailor Moon, Ranma, Yami no Matsuei, Gravitation, D N Angel, Naruto, and X/1999. as every fanfic author-type knows... its ALL about the REVIEWS. so i decided i need to look at what people like.... then i can write more like tht and get more reviews per word (kekekeke)
this will ultimately result in me walking around in a daze cackling insanely (and often lecherously) to myself and writing more fics in my head, a small proportion of which will make it to the (your) screen :D
okay, looking at the stats (27/06/04) the most popular fic i ever wrote was 'side effects'
WTF! thinks i... not the fluff... anything but the fluff...
but its true. people want... ne... NEED fluff.
of course it could also be because it was A. a oneshot. or B. from a more well known series.... SEMANTICS I SAY!
side effects = 20 reviews
i mean, 'while you were sleeping' has 70 revs, but also 10 chapters, which means only 7 (per chapter) or 44 from different reviewers - which technically speaking IS more rewiews, but NOT more per the amount of work and time goign into the fic...
THEREFORE i should dedicate myself to short, oneshot fluffolas in order to maximise my return...
*gyeh* but fluff is so difficult for me (_/);
AND theres still the popularity issue, i mean naruto has way more followers, and i'm don't know enough about it to write anymore since i've only seen about 30 episodes... ahhhh,,,
good return on yami, i guess that has a lot to do with dedicated fans because theres not that much out there (i blame the anime for beingso dark and cutting out all the good stuff)
but gravi.... maybe not so great for reviews, but from memory its the only place you get marraige proposals with reviews :D (it doesn't hurt that all the characters are insane which suits my writing style....)
well i guess thats enoughrant for now... you can all blame firferwin for this rant (you all being anyone that happens to read these things since my rantbuddy is on strike)
