Poll: Because of the popularity of Forsaken, my muse has had this idea for a couple of months now, and I've wondered about it as well. The question is: do you feel there should be a collection of one-shots dealing with character back-story/extra scenes? Vote Now! |
Author has written 22 stories for Pokémon, Ninja Turtles, WALL-E, Kirby, Looney Tunes, Digimon, How to Train Your Dragon, Whisper of the Heart, Higurashi/Umineko series, Wreck-It Ralph, and Angel Beats!/エンジェルビーツ. No matter my age, my friends, my family, or the extent of my writing abilities, I will thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all that I have. He is the ultimate best friend, and I pledge to honor Him in what I write. I am currently in college, and it's taking its toll and striping my muse away. I'll update when I can, thank you for being patient. 5/18/13: A small update on the progress of Forsaken. I took a closer look at chapter 20 and realized that the total of what I have written down, and looking at the percentage estimates I put down, means the chapter is halfway complete. Keep in mind this is all from writing very, very slowly over the course of the past few months, and I wrote about a page's worth today. So while it may feel like nothing much, or that I'm only further prolonging the completion of the chapter, whatever is going through your head, I have not given up on it. So at least it's getting there, albeit really slowly. So keep the poking and prodding coming, folks. Lord knows I need it. Chapter 20 progress: 50% Quotes: Spiritual: "Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight." -- Gordon B. Hinckley (1910-2008) "Being of good cheer makes it possible for us to turn all of our sunsets into sunrises." -- Elder Marvin J. Ashton (1915-94) of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Randomness: "I'm constantly reminded of the worst day of my life: hatching day." -- The Unknown Twinkie during our stupid conversations "I thought the government ran the government!" -- Sergeant Daniel "FEED THE TROLL!" -- Mr. Harvey, Cinema History teacher "This is your mother's old boyfriend." -- Dad when "Jesse's Girl" came on, being snarky as always "Is that when Arceus appears?" -- The Unknown Twinkie watching the Sinjoh Ruins Arceus event (for the first time) "Well, he was born a PANDA." -- Sergeant Daniel, spoiling Kung Fu Panda 2 "Opera is when a guy gets stabbed in the back and instead of bleeding, sings." - Ed Gardner Scripture verse: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." -- Isaiah 41:10 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend." -- John 15:13 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." -- Matthew 5:14 "Behold, I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live; for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life." -- 3 Nephi 15:9 Joke of the Moment Final Exam Four college friends were so confident that the weekend before finals, they decided to go up to Dallas and party with some friends up there. They had a great time. However, after all the partying, they slept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to Austin until early Monday morning. Rather than taking the final then, they decided to find their professor after the final and explain to him why they missed it. They explained that they had gone to Dallas for the weekend with the plan to come back and study but, unfortunately, they had a flat tire on the way back, didn't have a spare, and couldn't get help for a long time. As a result, they missed the final. The Professor thought it over and then agreed they could make up the final the following day. The guys were elated and relieved. They studied that night and went in the next day at the time the professor had told them. He placed them in separate rooms and handed each of them a test booklet, and told them to begin. They looked at the first problem, worth 5 points. It was something simple about free radical formation. "Cool," they thought at the same time, each one in his separate room. "This is going to be easy." Each finished the problem and then turned the page. On the second page was written: (For 95 points): Which tire? Hallo, strangers, or not-so-strangerly folks! Welcome to the humble abode of lilpurplebird. Normally, I'm the type who is shy, and doesn't like to talk much, but whatever comes out of the top of my head, will come here. So--! Name: Ruth Age: 21 Sex: Female Height: 4' 10 3/4'' (last I checked) Hair color: blonde Eye color: blue # siblings: Five younger brothers Habits: reading, singing, drawing, writing, bothering my brothers, playing video games Favorite--: ARTIST(S): Evanescence; Within Temptation; Michelle Branch; Flyleaf; Skillet MUSIC: Pop/rock; Japanese pop; soundtrack music BOOK(S): Hmm, hard to say. I'm a bookworm :3. COMEDIAN(S): Bill Cosby (seriously, if you haven't yet, go listen to him NOW) Jeff Allen (not related to Tim Allen, probably, but he seriously looks like him almost) Tim Hawkins (I'll feed you to the fire ants if you don't go listen to him or some of his parody songs) Emo Phillips MOVIES: Being a Film and Video Production student, it's rather normal for me to have a list of movies. However, the list has gotten too big for me to remember them all, so it suffices to say I just love movies. GAME(S): Super Smash Brothers series; Diddy Kong Racing; Metroid Prime (okay, I watched my brother play it, but it was awesome); Mario Party; Pokémon games that I've played and deemed awesome (ex. Puzzle League, Pokémon Stadium, SoulSilver, Mystery Dungeon) ANIME: Pokémon; Digimon; Cardcaptor Sakura; Kirby of the Stars (you've read that right); Dragon Ball Z; ef: Tale of Memories; Higurashi no Naku Koro ni; Elfen Lied; Azumanga Daioh; CLANNAD/CLANNAD After Story; Monster; Paranoia Agent CARTOON(s): any 90s cartoon played on KidsWB (rest in peace); Looney Tunes; Duck Dodgers; Invader Zim; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 and 2012); Xiaolin Showdown; Dragons: Riders of Berk; Jackie Chan Adventures; SpongeBob Squarepants(up until the seventh season, give-or-take a few) iMucha Lucha! (it's an awesome show, and you know it); Johnny Test; Disney TV SHOW(S): The X-Files (my first favorite TV show, I was about four when I first watched it); Monk; Gilligan's Island; Happy Days; Blackadder (it counts, I suppose); Last Man Standing PLAYS I HAVE SEEN: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (played by college students) Phantom of the Opera (starring Tim Martin Gleason as the Phantom, approved by Mom as the best Phantom thus far, second to Michael Crawford) Father of the Bride (was playing at the PAC at my school) Beauty and the Beast (brilliantly done, sat on the first row with my friend) RANDOM FACTS: 1. I have Asperger's Syndrome (screw what the APA says!). For those who may not know, let me explain as simple as possible. Basically, this is why I prefer anime over cartoons (though it's starting to become almost equal). This is why the Japanese language captivated me so. This is why I'm taking a 3-D animation class. This is why the only Looney Tune character I like drawing the most is Marvin the Martian. This is why I don't socialize well with others. This is why my vocabulary and way of speaking is strange. And... other things... I suggest you look it up. Heh... sorry folks. I tried. 2. Contrary to Asperger's, I have hyperlexia. No, it doesn't mean I'm hyper all the time (Woo hoo, woo hoo, woo hoo, hoo hoo, woo hoo!). It just means I was born to read. It's opposite to dyslexia. 3. You may have noticed I'm short for my age. I've been short my whole life. And skinny. I once squeezed through a locked gate just to get on the other side of the house because I was locked out (or something, can't remember). The space wasn't very big, just to let you know. I don't know HOW I did it. And because of this, I'll live longer than most of you. Don't ask me why. 4. I bet you were freaking out over how many siblings I have. I'm sure you thought that a) I'm a Mormon, b) my parents love kids, or c) some other weird thought. Unless it's really, really out of the question or something, the answers are yes to both of them. And I'm proud, and happen to actually like my little, annoying brothers. 5. The two youngest brothers have autism. Thus, half of us are on the autistic spectrum. It must say something, doesn't it? In fact, I discovered Mom has OCD, and I never knew about it because she managed to control it. And since we believe Grandma has Asperger's, we have so far three generations with related disabilities. Yuperz. 6. Please expect me to be weird. I always have, and always will. 7. My preferable topics of writing are: Friendship: I've had experiences with friends that have affected my life. Thus, I tend to position a storyline around in this category. Family: Family is very important in my life. You'll see this often. Romance: I have no love life xD. The one you'll always expect some form or another. *goes to count romance stories* Comedy: From the Asperger's, because I'm weird. After posting quite a few humor stories up, I am pleased to say people at least laugh at my sense of humor (I had worried over this for some reason). And I'll admit, I suppose many, if not all, of my stories have humor in them. So yay. 8. I am a very nice person, so you won't get anything bad from me. I'm lenient, and is not easily hurt by people who are angry with me (although I don't tolerate flamers, they make me laugh). There does come a blue moon, however, where the volcano inside of me erupts. It's more contained now than it was in my elementary school days. Seriously, you compare my childhood years to my teenage years, you'd be "What the freak happened? Oh yeah, maturity xD!" 9. Just because I'm Mormon doesn't mean my stories will be happy and unicorn-like, and mainly for small children. 10. Err... my catchline is "Hey Twinkie!" with a very deep voice. (Emphasize included.) Next catchline has to be "Please be kind to midgets" and "nyaa". 11. I'm a member on three other sites. On Serebii, I'm known as Kutie Pie. On Deviantart, I'm Kokoro to Yume. On YouTube, I'm KumoriGurasu. I'm sure you've seen me around :B. 12. I drew my avatar myself using PhotoShop CS4. Am still currently messing around with it. 13. I don't like to admit things like this (especially since they made me), but I have two brothers on the site: The Unknown Twinkie, and Sergeant Daniel. They have gotten better over the years. For the most part. 14. I am most certainly going to be more religious in my stories. Yup. 15. I have that weird feeling my grandparents are fattening me up... Kidding, I love my grandparents, I really do. I'm just being spoiled while living here _. *pokes muffin of a belly questionably* 16. My username is an old nickname of mine from when I was in elementary school. It made sense at the time, and it still kinda does. Point is, the name stuck. A-A-A-And that's all I can think of at the moment. I now leave you with a list of current/future chapter fics. Remember, please be kind to midgets! Current stories: Breathe No More: Category: Kirby of the Stars Genre: Friendship, Angst, Adventure Rating: T for language, violence, peril, blood, and attempted suicide. Summary: Tiff never expected for Kirby to return to Dreamland, just when a mysterious Cappy named Matter comes to town. But his infatuation for her may be her doom, something she may recognize too late, as she's fallen for him as well. Currently on: chapter two Status: Work in progress; hiatus Forsaken: Category: Pokémon Genre: Tragedy, Angst, Drama, Romance Rating: M for language, peril, violence, attempted suicide and death, sexual themes, and religious undertones Summary: The world has come to an end under the guard of the Legendaries. Despite their failure, Arceus gives them another chance, but at a cost: in the life before, they agreed to become mortal again should they have failed to uphold their duties. Along with that, they are commanded to repopulate and replenish the earth. As the majority of the Legendaries are male, frequent arguments are made as to who would get "first dibs", mainly for Mew because of her ability to create many species. However, unknown to them, there is a dark power lying in wait, targeting Mew and Mewtwo to do its dirty work... Currently on: chapter nineteen Status: Work in progress; slow Handle with Care: Category: Pokémon Genre: Romance, Drama Rating: M for language and strong sexual themes Summary: Having been loving mates for five years, Mew desires for a baby, even though Mewtwo feels the opposite, believing he cannot have offspring. As strong as their bond is, receiving nothing but bad news and unfortunate events piling up higher and higher slowly tears them apart and pushes their relationship to the edge. A fragile heart can break in any hand that handles it for too long. It can be put back together as many times as possible, but it'll never be the same. Related to the "Fuzzy" and "The Sitters" one-shots. Currently on: chapter four Status: Work in progress Mag Mell: Category: Wreck-It Ralph Genre: Humor, Romance Rating: K-plus Summary: As Ralph continues to accept his role as a villain and his changed life, he can't seem to fight back that sense of loneliness he's grown to live with. A new character introduced to the arcade may help close that gap—that is, if he can get over her quirkiness. Currently on: chapter eight Status: Work in progress; slow Polar Opposites: Category: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Genre: Family, Hurt/Comfort, Comedy, Action Rating: T, I suppose, mainly because of language. But the farthest I've gotten to so far is a chase scene (pretty action-packed). Summary: Leonardo and Raphael never got along, and never will. But a brotherly bond is to be tested when the oldest falls ill, and threatens his life. Does the hothead even care? Currently on: chapter two Status: Work in progress; indefinite hiatus Straight From the Heart: Category: Digimon Genre: Drama, Romance, Tragedy Rating: T for language, child abuse, and some sexual conduct. Summary: Hidoi is a Wizardmon who holds a dark secret and an unrequited love for Kohana, a former reporter whose sudden crime forces him to lock up his heart. Kumori-Garasu "Kumo" is a young Gatomon who replaces Kohana, and loves her adopted sister, Shizuka. She also hides a gruesome past she wishes never happened. Unfortunately for them, as they are forced to deal with each other, their pasts come back to haunt them as tragedy strikes left and right, they have no choice but to face the truth like true reporters. Only these aren't broadcasted to the public. Currently on: chapter four Status: Work in progress; indefinite hiatus, may be rewritten Two Worlds: Category: Looney Tunes Genre: Friendship, Comedy, Romance Rating: T, to be safe, mainly because the antagonist is... insane and kinda perverted. Summary: When a young Venusian named Ebony appears on Mars, Marvin is forced to hide her away from the rest of the Martians. He begins to regret it, as she's completely changing everything she touches, has proven she's just as smart as him (maybe more), and has become a favorite at work. And it's driving him crazy! Currently on: prologue Status: Work in progress; hiatus Future stories (one-shots not included, those are spontaneous): The Battle for Friendship: Category: Pokémon Genre: Friendship, Hurt/Comfort, Angst Rating: K-plus for slight language, mild violence, and a battle scene. Character death. Summary: It was forbidden, but a human girl befriends an Outsider amidst a war between humans and Pokémon. Mia, a young Mew kitten, has to keep her a secret, or both would be killed for treason. Finding the Golden Rule: Category: Pokémon Genre: Family, Friendship, Comedy, Adventure Rating: K-plus for slight language, mild violence and peril. Summary: When two kittens are separated from their parents, a pair of beginning, polar-opposite Trainer twins must return them back home, and rediscover what it means to be a best friend. Meanwhile, the parents are having troubles of their own in captivity. Sequel to The Battle For Friendship Wounds of a Friend: Category: Pokémon Genre: Family, Friendship, Romance Rating: Likely to be T for some language and violence, along with a (planned, but unsure) sexual assault Summary: The Mew kittens are growing up, but with a new friend: a Ralts named Hannah. However, Hannah is blind, which disables her species' ability to dance. They had fled from Hoenn to escape persecution, but as more migrate to Johto over the years, the simple gossiping turns into a deadly habit, a habit that Andrew must protect his friend from at all costs. Sequel to Finding the Golden Rule Witnesses of Life: Category: Pokémon Genre: Family, Drama Rating: T for language, child abuse, and disturbing images involving cloning Summary: A pair of twin Trainers accidentally stumble on a group of scientists and are frisked away to be servants in fear the two will contact police. They are then forced to labor with their young Pokémon by their side around the laboratory to tend to every whim and chore given to them. Gathering information here and there about the secrets of their horrible prison by hushed whispers of passing scientists, diary entries from the lead scientist, and strange dreams involving a young girl and, later on, a Mew look-alike, the twins realize they have stumbled into something illegal, yet remarkable. Heart-Tearing Chapter: Category: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) Genre: Horror, Drama, Friendship Rating: M for graphic violence, language, and disturbing psychological moments Summary: Post-Kai by five years. Hinamizawa is in peace, a cure for Hinamizawa Syndrome has been administered, and Rika, now a teenager, is living a normal life with her friends. Whispers then abound when Ooishi suddenly dies, but it was waived off due to old age. Shortly afterward, more deaths occur, and the village believes it's a disease--until Rena dies a gruesome death. Now convinced the deaths were caused by murder, the village goes on lockdown in the hopes the killer will be apprehended before they strike again. Wizardmon's Gift: Category: Digimon Genre: Friendship, Angst, Adventure Rating: K-plus for mild language and violence, and because Etemon is perverted (though mentioned briefly here and there). Summary: PreDigiDestined. Myotismon sends Gatomon and Wizardmon to search for a Crest. Along the course of three months they have to find it, trials test their friendship and uncover secrets, secrets Wizardmon has been keeping from his friend for years. Falling Tears: Category: Digimon Genre: Angst, Romance Rating: T for language, violence, suggestive themes, blood, character death Summary: Fifteen years since the death of Wizardmon, and Gatomon just can't fully let him go. When a new stranger appears, by the name of Sagemon, it becomes even more dangerous. Makkura, after all, is determined to keep the cat for himself the rest of their days, and he won't give up without a fight. Sequel to Wizardmon's Gift Disabled Feelings: Category: Digimon Genre: Friendship, Comedy, Romance Rating: K-plus Summary: Tai Kamiya has grown depressed since the wedding of his two best friends. When a strange woman by the name of Mei Chikki enters his life and grows quickly attached, he discovers what it's like looking through disabled eyes. My Angel: Cateogry: Dragon Ball Z Genre: Action, Friendship (perhaps), Drama Rating: T for language, violence (most likely), and mentions of the female period and anatomy Summary: A teenage orphan from a secluded town is nearly kidnapped because of her new-found knowledge of the Dragon Balls. Rescued by Goku, she is placed in protective custody of Piccolo until further notice--so he was told. He reluctantly agreed, thinking that since he tutored a half-Saiyan he can keep an eye on a human girl. It turns out to be more challenging than he thought, and she's not even the average stereotypical female Piccolo believed in. And like it or not, he learns more about females up-close and personal. Just watch what you say. Working title (MAY NOT ACTUALLY SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY) Category: Lilo and Stitch Genre: Family, Drama Rating: T Summary: People age, something Stitch had noticed living on Earth for so long. But people also change, both in body, spirit, and mind. He watches as Lilo grows dramatically into a young woman, from her first experience with the menstrual cycle to her wedding day. It then becomes clear to him that he will have to say the final farewell to his best friend, and let her go. | |||||||||
