A teenage girl about 17 named Diane had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. So, even though I don't have a whole lot of those, I will tell you the ones I have come up with. "Here" is named after the song by Rascal Flatts. I thought it kinda sorta fit, and it was the best thing I could come up with at the time. "Never Gonna Be Alone" is a finished Treasure Planet story. That's named after the song by Nickelback. Seriously, listen to the song and when you read the story you will see why I chose it to be the title. "Truth Beneath the Rose" is my finished Treasure Planet story. It's named after the song by Within Temptation. It is the first story in the Treasure Hunter Trilogy. I'm going to tell you people now that you need an open mind to really understand the reasoning behind that. I interpreted it in a way that's different than how most people would. The song itself is about sinning in the Lord's name and all the stuff that goes with it. Well, I thought of a different way to interpret it, and that fit for my story. This one, I'll actually give you the lyrics and a bit of my reasoning. Give me strength to face the truth, the doubt within my soul. Blinded to see the cruelty of the beast Pray for me 'cause I have lost my faith in holy wars Blinded to see the cruelty of the beast I'm hoping, I'm praying How can blood be our salvation Blinded to see the cruelty of the beast Now, for my explanation. Where it says "No longer I can justify the bloodshed in His name", think of it as she is talking about Flint's trove. If you think of this in that kind of way, you can see how it works for the main character. The main character would do anything to get Flint's trove, but then Jim gets in the way and she's forced to re-think everything she's ever known. "Raimundo Lies" is an idea I got after listening to a very sad song. It's based off of the song "Alyssa Lies" by Jason Michael Carroll and the song is about child abuse and how nobody would do anything until it was too late. Well, this story is slightly different. First off, there's no child abuse. Instead, the main character and Raimundo's childhood friend, Alyssa, sees him for the first time since he left for the Xiaolin Temple (though she doesn't know where he was). She soon witnesses something that shows her what has been going on with Raimundo since he left and the first words she utters to her father are "Raimundo lies". As a warning, I'm going to tell people that this story has mentionings of religion (mostly because Alyssa is going to pray and that her father mentions Jesus once), so I'm just adding that in there just in case there are people who don't want to read that. "Beautiful Disaster" is the TMNT story I'm working on with an OC by the name of Amelia (Amy for short). The title comes from the song by Kelly Clarkson. It starts off with Amy's brothers undergoing a change that is an epic disaster, but leads into a relationship she never thought she'd have, with a person she never would have thought she'd find herself interested in. That's really all the info I can give you because I don't want to spoil anything. "Free To Be Me" is the sequel to "Truth Beneath the Rose", named after the song by Francesca Battistelli. It's the second story in the Treasure Hunter Trilogy. The song suggestion was given to me by Solaris Prime. I read through the lyrics and thought they fit pretty well with Ember, because this story is going to show a lot more of her character, as well as a new OC, which belongs to Sol. "All These Lives" is the sequel to "Free To Be Me" and the final story in the Treasure Hunter Trilogy. It's named after the song by Daughtry. I was actually struggling between this song for a title and two other ones. I had to ask Solaris Prime for advice and while he agreed that all three songs fit the storyline well, this was the most fitting of them. So, that is how this came to be the title. "Before It's Too Late" is named after the song by the Goo Goo Dolls. I really can't explain why, but this song really struck me as matching up with the story I had in my head. Anyway, this is yet another Treasure Planet story I'm working on, but this time, Jim Hawkins has a sister named Aliadi. "Domani" is a SAINW story I wrote. The title is based off the song "Domani 21 aprile" by... about fifty Italian artists. This song was written for the victims of the earthquake that hit Abruzzo back in April. A lot of this song is meant to be uplifting, but the way the lyrics are, I can see it fitting very well with the story I'm writing, even though it's a tragedy. Some of my favorite lines that relate to the story are (translated): "Every life that you save, every stone that you place, you can think of tomorrow, but you can only do it today." "Call My Name" is my Avatar: The Last Airbender story that I'm currently working on. It's titled after the song by Third Day. Seriously, awesome song that everyone needs to listen to and the lyrics fit perfectly for not only Kala's bond with Zuko, but also with the world as a whole. This story takes a very different twist on the show Avatar, but I've run it by a few people and have gotten nothing but good marks on the idea, so hopefully if people can bear with a different idea, then they might like this story. NOTE TO EVERYONE!! "INTO THE RUSH" AND "PLAYING DADDY" ARE TWO OF THE BEST STORIES I HAVE EVER READ!! Now, this is not an insult to any other stories in my favorites, but these are amazing. "Into the Rush" had me hooked from the very beginning and every chapter feels like the best part. "Playing Daddy" is so descriptive in emotion and freaking adorable that I can't help but love it!
