Ack! I'm going to bite the bullet and spin the reel :)

I'm a mom and my youngest was following this anime on cartoon network called Naruto. I'm one of those MOMs. You know compulsive posessive, the utterly annoying type :) which meant I screened his viewing and reading ... I'm getting help for this prob - in the form of all of you keeping me far too busy to spare a thought on what my kid is now reading lol.

The first episode was a disaster. Whaaaaaaaat? Who on earth would want to watch and ack! listen to an uncouth brat with an abrasive voice? I'd never been one of those peeps with an aversion to nails on a chalkboard but I most certainly had one to Naruto's nasal tones. I didn't finish watching that ep and promptly dissuaded littlest brat from continuing with the show! By chance (here they replay Naruto over and over again) I caught the same ep by myself one afternoon. Needless to say I fell head over heels in love and found the screeching brat to be somewhat cute and Sasuke, oh poor poor Sasuke - his father loves him (sniff!) and Itachi (my first (erroneous) thought other than hey, it's a household appliance manufacturer lol was hubba hubba - surely he's protecting Sasuke!). From then on Naruto half-hour was religiously observed in our household...

Very soon I was drinking in all Naruto aspects I could find and promptly fell heels over head and mountains for the gushingly adorable sniffly cute Naruto. Then I fell also for Lee and Shika, pretending not to love Sasuke all that time and hating him for hurting my blue eyed chibi and LOATHING sakura WITH THE FORCE OF THE SUN... then I discovered the manga after the VotE ep where Sasuke hurt me deeply. And leaping lizards! I found a pic of Sasuke with Naruto's face etched in the heartshaped metal of his necklace and OH! Naruto wore an identical charm with Sasuke's face instead of his own. And BOOM! All those little inklings of the two souls entwined came to the fore with an embarrassing potency and then I discovered fanfic - Sowell's HOUSE (at that time incomplete) and then Zrina's Sound of Dreams (squinting at the lemons and skipping some - until I understood the need for lemons and then it was and replay lol) and I was gone. So basically those two ruined me :) and here I am.

Kantayra fanned the flames with her brash unrelenting humour. Commiseration Night was the third story I read and I didn't understand it at first because it included marriage and other innuendo my poor untainted mind could not fathom :P (Don't worry I went back and reread it 3x once I'd understood the insinuations, guffawing madly). KageKitsuneXXX deserves my adulation because she had me spewing coffee all over my keyboard and sulking almost simultaneously with such beauties as RolePlay. IvvyMoon buffered my heart and hope with Breaking Him Down and by then my reading list was endless and I lapped it up.

It was overtaking my life lol and I was reading any and everything I encountered. I won't ever underestimate teen drivel again because regardless of the need to use a dictionary, learn the basics of grammar or just plain English, their perception of love is at the least, humbling. I must mention too - Aikage whose minimalist style HITS huge at all the right and some previously unknown areas, Pebbs and Hic for their Austen hues, ClassicLover984 for TOYING with my poor sodden heart, AnimeYaoiLover for knocking walls down, surmounting odds and pixellating this mindboggling thing called love in its varying intensity and kind, Kally777 for showing how LOVE just is, in spite of intention - not once but THREE TIMES, Mako75 for the veracity and inescapability of love. Fool0 for a highly effiminate but haunting SasuNARU, MasterofRebels who robbed me of my last bit of innocence with the Ride lol, Jelp with her calculated imagination and CerealKiller for sharing her loss (hey she writes killer stories for catharsis).

Special mention to BittenKitten for her wit, Mercurial Wit for feeding my intellect, Erisabesu for 23rds for others too but 23rds will forever haunt me!, Chibi for Cake, NavyBlueWings for insane intuitiveness and Rosesareblue for the epic (yet unfinished) Give You Back! All of you and many many more aspiring and brilliant writers have fed my insatiable craving for this pair and soothed my soul. I cannot ever remunerate you for sharing your view and passion, thank you. Thank You!

The old and new - Volpa, whoa, the brevity you encapsulate the complexities of these characters is nothing short of brilliant and I mourn your departure from the FANDOM :) myfreudianslip- your fresh biting abilities are enamouring and stretches my horizons.

Finally, there is a monster in this forum who capitualarises everything that has me in twists and knots - Michelerene who captures the magic of fairytales. I reread all stories and authors on my faves list but whenever am particularly drabby I reread yours, gobbling up every single word and then proceed to sulk as if the words were freshly printed.

I laud you all and wish you at least an ounce for every single high and low in the peregrinations you have set before me. To one and all of you, bless your cotton socks and white cells :)
