Author has written 2 stories for Twilight, and Stargate: Atlantis. Hello. I am Transparent-but-Opaque. Welcome. Four things that I am right this minute: Excited for people to give their feedback on Christmas in Atlantis (the new version). Thinking about skateboarding (I just learned how to do it! It's so hard! And fun!). Trying to find an avatar that features SGA characters. Wondering what happens next in Maximum Ride. UPDATES: 9/16/09- Hehe, so I know nobody heard from me for a while (acts innocent). Well I just haven't felt up to writing. I'm sorry! I'm having issues and school starts next week so I'm pretty busy. I also started a John Hopkins class and I'm really confused about it. Ah well. Actually, I have the second chapter of Christmas in Atlantis written, but I haven't uploaded anything yet (obviously). So, well, uh, what else? Red like Roses-where to carry the plot, hmmm? I'll figure something out I PROMISE! I've also done some jazzy renovations to my 'computer corner' of the office so maybe a change of decoration will get the creative juices flowing. Maybe. You know how people say gems spark the imagination? Well yours truly went to an art festival and cracked open one of those geods. The dude said that the lightest rock (there were a bunch in a basket), would have the thinnest walls, thus the most gems. Well in my wisdom I picked the lightest rock (they were all basically the same weight anyway!!) and then they cracked it and there was the tiniest little pocket of tiny clear gems in the middle of the rock. The rock had the thickest walls imaginable. Well, well, I have awesome luck. Oh well. And you know what? The lady behind me spent 30 minutes picking her rock and her rock had a huge pocket full of amethyst-type gems. I ripped my hair out! As you can see, I'm desperate for any type of muse or inspiration to come from anywhere, anytime, anyplace (sigh). Well I'll end this post cause it's way too long and talking about unimportant (for you) things. Anyway, ciao! OH I ALMOST FORGOT! CHECK OUT MY CURRENT AFFILIATIONS (under ABOUT ME). 7/29/09- THE NEW REVISED VERSION OF CHRISTMAS IN ATLANTIS IS HERE!I canceled the old story, however this new one has the same name and a similar plot that now involves Michael! Oh, and it will have subtle (or perhaps not that subtle) hints of Sheyla. READ AND REVIEW! I actually have the second chapter basically finished already. I'll wait for a couple reviews and then post it. And I should have Chapter 7 of Red like Roses up soon... when I finish writing it! Adios! 7/15/09- Okay, listen to the big news... I've decided to cancel Christmas in Atlantis for a bunch of reasons... namely because I only got one review (although it was a positive one) and also because I'm probably going to write something similar under a different name and with a plot that revolves around more than the fact that it's almost Christmas. And, not to worry, it will SOOOO involve Wraith. You know, out of all threats in the Pegasus Galaxy (like Replicators, Genii, whatever the heck you want to call Michael's monsters/hybrids etc.) those silly old Wraith are my favorite. Of course, they have to be the merciless stalkers that suck the life out of you and leave you looking like a raisin. Well I guess there's no accounting for taste. :) Bye! 6/22/09- Yayhoosles! Chapter 6 of Red like Roses has arrived. R & R or I will turn you into sushi! As for Christmas in Atlantis-I have half of the second chapter written and will update as soon as possible. Also, look under RANDOM STUFF there are new random stuff there (cheers)! 6/21/09- I am so close to finishing Chapter 6 of Red like Roses! I really hope you all like it, and I think I'll have substantially moved the storyline by the end of that chapter. 6/19/09- Ok I know what everyone is going to say, but I have several legitimate excuses. I was gone for three weeks with no Internet access, and I was extraordinarily busy with school and The Wizard of Oz play. Now that school is over I promise I'll be good and write, even though I'm out of ideas. I need help! Anyway, now that Bananadoodle and I are completely and thoroughly obsessed with The Host and Ian O'Shea, you readers might be seeing a Host fanfic in the works! I'm not sure yet-first I need to get a grip on my other stories before I write a new one! ABOUT ME: My favorite books are the Inheritance Cycle, The Host, Harry Potter, and Maximum Ride (I am on Book Four). I want to do as many things as I can before I die. This is random, but I hate Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers. I love Star Trek. Yes, I am a Star Trek nerd and I am proud of it! I watch ST:E, ST:TNG, and some of ST:V. My favorite movies are The Devil Wears Prada, The Italian Job, and all of the Bourne movies (especially Supremacy). I am currently hooked on an awesome show called Stargate Atlantis. Go Pins and Needles Club! I am currently going through a powerful obsession phase with all things connected to The Host. AAAAHHH! Team Ian O'Shea! Who's my favorite vampire? Angel! (from Buffy) Ha! I bet you thought I was going to say Edward huh? My favorite colors are green and purple. And magenta. I love all cats, especially MY cat, Elvis. He is a Russian Blue and absolutely the cutest thing on the planet. I also think Edward Cullen is boring (don't hate me, Twilight fan-girls) although I do like Twilight. Sorta. My true identity will not be revealed, but just for the visual-image types... I am a 5 foot 2 inch tall female. I have brown hair and hazel eyes. I KNOW I stole this from Bananadoodle, but four good words to describe me are spontaneous, introspective, daring, romantic. Three bad words... how about unmotivated, cold, distant. I respect people who are creative, unique, intelligent, and can pronounce my last name. (Which none of you know, much less know how to pronounce.) I am also currently obsessed with Prince Caspian/Ben Barnes, just like Bananadoodle. Anyway, Prince Caspian rocks everybody's socks. FOR NARNIA, AND FOR ME!! CURRENT AFFILIATIONS: Member of the Pins and Needles Club. (gee, getting shot by Wraith stunners is a lot of fun!) Member of the Team Ian O'Shea fan club! Motto: Proving that human guys can be like Edward Cullen! Member of the Chakotay's Tattoo Is Awesome Club (have you gotten your tattoo-shaped badge yet?). I invented that. Member of the Haters of Ter Borcht Club (read Maximum Ride!). STAR TREK: I've only seen a lot of The Next Generation and Enterprise (yes, I know a lot of people think Enterprise is bad but I don't, so it doesn't matter). Don't yell at me if I don't know that much about Kirk and Spock and whatever. I just started watching Voyager and I like it pretty well. Yippers! My favorite character from Enterprise is SOOOOOOOOO Trip, although I do like Hoshi too. From TNG my faves are Data and Riker (oh and Q!) and from Voyager they are Chakotay (Does he have a first name, or is that his first name?! And I like his tattoo.) and the Doctor guy. And Kes. I don't like Captain Janeway, her voice annoys me. My favorite top five Star Trek pairs are here for all you Trekkies to read and enjoy! Don't send me hate mail because I don't watch OS and DS9. They are in order: Now, of course, you have to suffer through my LEAST favorite Star Trek pairs! Enjoy! Here they are: STARGATE: ATLANTIS: I can't be the only one out there who loves Stargate Atlantis so I will inform you of my... Stargate watching... status... thing. My favorite characters are Colonel Sheppard, Ronan (squee), Rodney, Teyla, and Todd. I know he's sorta evil but he's cool. My favorite expedition leader is Elizabeth Weir. I liked Woolsey too. I don't like the military girl, uh (brainfreeze) Colonel Carter as much, dunno why. Out of all the threats in the Pegasus Galaxy I like the Wraith the most. They are the gothic vampires of the Pegasus Galaxy! At least they look sorta cool, and DO interesting things (like suck the life out of you until you look like a raisin). NOTE: Michael has a very confused sense of fashion. First, he stuck to traditional Wraith gothic-wear. Then in the Prodigal he put on an ugly leather dress thing that made me laugh. HELLO?! My favorite episodes so far are... (SPOILER ALERT) ~ Runner- we get to meet Ronan for the first time! I like it for other reasons, too, of course. shifty eyes BONUS: It's not one of my favorite eppies but I LOVE the last scene in the episode Midway, in the puddlejumper. I adore Rodney's explosion when Kavanaugh and that other guy are talking about Pearl Harbor, and the following bit when Ronan wakes up Shep ( the sound he makes when he wakes up is hilarious) and tells him how his IOA meeting went ("They said they liked me." "Well what's not to like?"). It was so funny, all of it! Also I laughed when Ronan shoved Kavanaugh. Oh, and my favorite pairs are SHEPPARD/TEYLA!!, McKay/Keller, Ronan/Teyla (I like Shep/Teyla and Ronan/Banks better though), and I think Beckett/Cadman is cute. I decided I'm a Ronan/Banks shipper too! I am opposed to Ronan/Keller and quite opposed to Sheppard/Weir. AND I DO NOT SUPPORT SHEPPARD/MCKAY!! THE HOST: I'm not obsessed with the Twilight series-in fact, I find it kind of... boring? mushy? not exciting? However, I LOVE THE HOST! I have no idea what it is about that book but from page one I was hooked, especially on Ian. I won't give away spoilers, but I really enjoyed the book from beginning to end. Oh, and it is thanks to VampireGirl8484 that I am hooked because she told me to read it. Unfortunately for her, I liked it too much. I'm surprised she hasn't told me to shut up about Ian yet. Very surprised. And now she has a double-dose of obsession because Bananadoodle loves Ian too. Yeah, I think there will be a couple of shut ups down the road. I really hope Meyer writes a sequel! I even love those reviewers who say my stories are horrible (actually, i haven't gotten any of those yet) because at least they sometimes give constructive criticism! Enough said... now go read my stories!! | |||||||
