My real name is Samantha, (still trying to think of something cool to change it to- suggestions on a postcard please), I am 23 years old and live in England in a place so small I am sure it isn't even a speck on the map- I haven't actually checked though.

I am currently a proud full-time Mummy to two little ones; my three year old daughter Evelyn Rose and my one year old son Deacon Patrick. They are very time consuming little monsters but well worth it I can assure you.

I started writing when I was around eleven, won a few competitions and had some poetry published as a teenager. My writing aspirations were on hold for a while after the birth of my daughter and a very hectic and fraught 2 years, but I am now starting to get back into the swing of things. One day, I really hope that I will become a published author, not necessarily famous, just definitely appreciated.

My other interests include singing, reading and, of course, being with my husband and children. I am a hopeless romantic, very loyal, and love to socialise. I suppose I am the type of person who would much rather have only three very close friends as opposed to twenty-five acquaintances.

I probably just told you more than you wanted to know but, hey, you read it!

A few random facts about me;

I am passionate about music - at the moment loving Evanescence, Muse, The Twilight Soundtrack, and Sarah McLachlan. I also unashamedly enjoy Katy Perry and Britney Spears, such is my eclectic taste.

My favourite TV shows of all time are Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Angel, The X Files, and Supernatural.

Favourite books include The Notebook, A Walk To Remember, The Twilight Saga, and a few of the Buffy-series tie-ins, whose names evade me for the moment.

My all time favourite movies include The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, RENT, Stardust, and Twilight (even though the book is infinitely better).

I can bake like a demon!

My friends know me as 'the bargain queen'- if there's one to be found, I will sniff it out.

I fall down- a lot.

I like giving out random facts about myself.

Fics I like to read;

Twilight, The Mummy, and Buffy, primarily. I love romance, angst and adventure, and do back flips when an author manages to keep everyone in character throughout. Songfics intrigue me so if you have any interesting ones that need a review, private message me. I generally stay away from All Human fics, and ones that possess so many spelling and grammatical errors that I may want to cry. Also, I am not particularly interested in non-canon pairings, sorry! The ideas of Buffy getting it on with Faith or Bella shacking up with Jasper are just too radical for my simple little mind.

Authors I recommend;

Taarako - this girl loves reviews with an occasionally unhealthy passion! Excellent writer, particularly gifted at adding humour to her pieces. If you are looking for a Season 8 for BTVS, look no further! Oh, and her second generation Buffy is to die for.

SquintAndProud - the angst queen. This girl understands so many emotions it is extremely difficult to believe she is only currently fourteen. Check out her many and varied projects, especially her mind blowing oneshots.

KairosImpending - just recently started reading her fics, but you will be blown away! So far, I have yet to find a spelling mistake, grammatical error, or instance of anyone stepping even momentarily out of character. Definitely one to watch with intent!

Claire Bloom - the author of a fantastic fic called 'Spellbound' which has captivated me from the very first paragraph. If you are a fan of intelligent (occasionally smutty, lol) Twi-fics set in an AU then you MUST read this fic!

My Fics;

Hell's Playground - My baby! This is still a work in progress but basically follows on from where Angel and BTVS left off (recall that awful cliffhanger with Angel and the dragon?! I could not allow that to go on!). I imagine this to end as one almighty fic, the rate things are going, expect fifty chapters at least. Don't let that put you off, I really like the way this one is panning out. Credit for the Hell's Playground banner currently used as my avatar has to go to Claire Bloom, an extremely talented FF author who is such a sweetie that she made me this banner! Go check out her fic 'Spellbound'.

I Have And I Always Will - My attempt at a Twilight songfic. I used a beautiful but little known song by Dave Barnes for this one. I had the idea in my head for a while but struggled to pluck up the courage to write it. I think it turned out quite well.

Everyone Else - My fluffy one shot about Bella's pregnancy with Renesmee. It really bothered me for some reason that noone went baby shopping in Breaking Dawn. I love this one and reviews are welcome creatures.

The Passage - One for the Mummy fans. Probably my most angsty one shot, and also my first Fanfiction posted piece. I toy with the idea of one day writing a novel-length Mummy fic. For now, this is my one foray into that world.

The Christmas Angel - A piece I wrote for, well, Christmas, obviously. There's an apparently surprising twist at the end of this one so prepare to go 'ahhhhhh'.

FANFICTION AHOLICS ANON - A new group on Facebook that I was recently made an officer of. It's a place to make new friends, rec your own fics, discuss well known favourites, swap banners, and also take part in our fortnightly fic competition.
