Author has written 1 story for Legion of Super Heroes.

Hey! I'm Saani (pronounced Saa-nee), welcome to my long, rather random profile! If you have any questions/comments regarding my profile or stories, or you simply want to chat, don't be afraid to PM me. I'll respond to anything that resembles proper English.
Story Status
What is happening with my stories at the moment.
Moving On
As I mentioned a while ago, I was very unhappy with Healer and the direction it was going in. Moving On is sort of the new and improved version. The story will be quite similar for the first chapters, after that it will go in a whole new direction. I have the whole story planned in detail from beginning to end, so I look forward to actually finishing this one.
One-shots Collection
I will rename this when I post the first story. Basically it will be a collection of one-shots and drabbles that fit into Moving On's timeline. The first few I have in mind are set before Brainy returns to the Legion, but I hope to have some set afterwards as well.
Completed Stories
I will update this when I actually finish a story. But since I haven't, you just wasted a whole ten seconds reading this.
Original Characters
These are characters of my own creation that appear in my Legion of Superheroes stories. I wouldn't mind if anyone wanted to use them in a story of their own, in fact I would be flattered, my only requests are that you keep them in-character and tell me first so I can keep a look out for the story and read it!
Taralei, Tam and Weisha appear the most often, with Petro and Tanile appearing occasionally as well. Other characters mentioned are Tam and Tara's family back on Flora.
I hope to put up profiles for at least Tara, Tam and Weish in the near future.
A little bit about me...
I am in fact a girl. I grew up reading a number of the DC comics kids titles (collected the Powerpuff Girls series for years), and watching the cartoons they're based off of. This is all my dad's fault. He's a total comic geek too. In fact you can't walk into a room in our house without seeing at least one DC comic title sitting on some sort of surface.
I also read a few web comics, including Girl Genius and Looking For Group.
I also read 'real books' as my younger brother calls them. Not as often as I used to, but hey. I read the Aussie Bites series for years, as well as the Saddle Club and Pine Hollow series. Sadly I have outgrown these and simply don't find them as interesting anymore. However I never outgrew the Chronicles of Narnia books. They were my favourites as a child and I still read them whenever I have the time. My favourite book would have to be the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
I do read a bit of manga and watch a few animes, mainly Naruto and sometimes One Piece, but that's more my brother's thing.
I grew up in a Christian family, watching Veggietales and listening to Adventures in Odessy, both are hilarious. This has had a pretty big effect on my taste in music, my favourite singers/bands being Superchick, Rebecca St. James, Bethany Dillon, Mark Schultz, Matthew West and many more. I particularly love Mark Schultz because his songs tend to tell a story and are always beautiful.
Writing
I write purely for my own enjoyment. It gives me something to do those days where I'm up at 3am and can't sleep. I mainly write action/adventure stories, but there is always some humour involved. What's life without a few laughs? I hope to try some comedic romance soon, and maybe some angst or tragedy.
For the time being, I will be sticking with the Legion of Superheroes and Class of the Titans categories, as that's where my inspiration is at the moment. I may or may not branch out in the future.
I am a spelling and grammar snob, and I appreciate being informed of any errors I may have missed. If anyone is interested, I wouldn't mind a beta-reader, just so I have someone else's input.
As a quick side note, I am also very happy to beta-read anyone else's work. Just check out my beta-reader profile or send me a PM.
Reviews
Like most people, I love to receive good reviews. You know, the ones that tell you exactly what the reviewer thinks of your story; what they liked, what they didn't, and what could be improved upon. That being said, I still appreciate more simpler reviews. I reply to every signed review (and sometimes anonymous ones if I know who it is), just to say thank you for reading, and possibly answer any questions.
As far as me writing reviews go, I try to comment on what I did like about the story, as well as give any advice I think could help.
Pairings
Since they appear to be such a big deal on here, I feel I should say something.
Pairings are not a big issue with me. I do have particular couples I am more fond of, for instance Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl (Legion of Superheroes), Archie and Atlanta (Class of the Titans), or Sokka and Suki (Avatar: The Last Airbender), simply because I feel they work well together. This does not mean I won't read anything else though, if the author can make it believable, I will read it.
I am not a fan of slash, and I won't go out of my way to read it, but I won't refuse to read it either. Depends on the story really.
There are a few things I would like to make very clear:
- I will not ever change a pairing in one of my stories just to make a few readers happy. It is my work and I am free to voice my own opinions. I do tend to stick with cannon though. If you don't like the pairings in my story, don't read it. Very simple.
- I refuse to argue with someone over who a fictional character should 'be with'. A friendly discussion on who would work and who wouldn't is one thing, shipping wars are ridiculous.
On a final note, I don't like mentioning couples in my summaries. I feel it takes away from the story if you already know who is going to 'get together'. The only real exception to this is most likely contest entries or challenges.
Fandoms (In alphabetical order because I'm cool)
Avatar: The Last Airbender
The was a fantastic little show. I can't remember what convinced me to start watching it, but I'm glad I did. The characters were awesome, the plot kept you interested, and it just had some of the funniest moments I've seen. My favourite characters were probably Sokka, Toph and Suki. Favourite Sokka moment (as there were so many) was the cactus juice one, although there were a few others that came very close. I must say the finale was a little disappointing, there were a few questions left un-answered, and I found the spirit-bending thing kind of random, but at the same time, it was still a pretty epic ending.
Class of the Titans
I actually started watching this on ABC when I went to watch Avatar but it was the wrong day, I liked it so I kept watching it. I find greek mythology really interesting, I suppose that's part of what sucked me in. The other part was the well-written episodes (even if some dialogue made me cringe), and the well-developed characters. Atlanta is definitely my favourite, with Neil (he is hilarious), Archie and Odie all a very close second. I really do hope they give in and make us a third season, no matter how unlikely that is, as I was so sad to see this end.
Justice League
I followed this right through till the end of JLU. I'm particularly fond of Justice League as it was the one show my family would sit down and watch together. I am a total Flash fan, and was thrilled to see him kick Brainiac/Luthor's butt. It was also the episode 'Far From Home' that convinced me to keep an eye out for Legion of Superheroes.
Legion of Superheroes
I was so sad to see this canceled. I actually kept forgetting to watch it and when I finally did I watched seasons one and two in a row. I was all ready for season three, and then someone said it was canceled. Despite being only 26 episodes long, this was a fantastic little show. My favourite characters are... oh that's a tough one. I love Lightning Lad, Cham, Vi, Saturn Girl, Brainy... and like the rest of the Legion, heh. I was a bit disappointed at the serious lack of female characters in season two though.
Naruto
I first saw Naruto when the dubbed anime aired on Cartoon Network down here. I think it had replaced another show that I watched's time slot, so I decided I'd check it out. I actually didn't like it at first, but a friend of mine convinced me to keep watching. I followed the first season right through and then loved it so much I started collecting the manga. I collect the volumes, so I'm a long way behind, but they're finally releasing them faster so I may catch up soonish. As for the anime, we've just seen the Sasuke retrieval arc and are onto fillers. I have a huge number of favourite characters that change regularly, so I won't list 'em.
Smallville
I actually haven't seen this in a while. Probably because they haven't played new episodes down here in ages. I don't think we've even seen season seven yet. Oh but feel free to tell me I'm wrong if I in fact am. Although I would like to point out that I live in Australia. Anyway, this show caught my eye, simply because it was based on DC comics. I was thrilled to see the number of well-known superheroes that made appearances, especially Impulse and Cyborg. Eagerly awaiting Fox8 to get it together and play new episodes.
Teen Titans
This was another show my whole family would watch together. I sort of randomly discovered it one afternoon at my grandparents house, and then, thinking it was an awesome show, started watching it at home. I was surprised to find out it was yet another show based on my dad's comics. So every Saturday and Sunday morning, the whole family would sit down and watch the new episodes, with dad giving us random little facts. Favourite character is Beast Boy, he is so funny! Being a massive Flash fan too, my favourite episode was Light Speed; the one with Kidflash. I would have loved to see another season or two.
If you managed to read all the way down here without fainting from confusion or randomness overdose, congratulations! Thank you very much for taking the time out to read all about me.
That's all for now folks! I'll update this whenever I remember, until then, farewell!
