I didn't win, BUT I was in the top 10 out of 94 and top ten out of 114 in the final round...that amazes me!

One of my favorites is a work in progress by kejce. She paints word stories really well, and this has totally drawn me in. Give it a read! Autumn Knights' Dreams

AMayes...ah...this author has so many good stories going! Elevators, Strangers and Surprises amazes me! Do check out her work...

LJ Summers. She has several stories posted...and one thing to know about her work. She doesn't post a chapter until she's FINISHED writing the entire thing! So, you won't get into it, just to have her stop posting...you can be assured that the story will be finished...AND in a timely manner...DO check out her work...IT'S AWESOME!

Pet Peeves:

Whoa is spelled, well, WHOA...not "woah"...that's not even a word! It may be an acronym for something, but it isn't a word!

A "Shutter" is placed on the outside of a window...So if you wrote "I shuttered as his hand caressed my cheek"...did you mean to put a wooden/plastic something over yourself?

A "Shudder" is what creeps down your spine, either in joy or fear...when he caressed your cheek.

You wear a loose fitting shirt...you can LOSE your mind.

I can take one BREATH, but I need to remember to BREATHE.

PEEK -- looking at something; PEAK -- the summit or point of something; PIQUE -- that irritated feeling when you want to sound "all that" about it. ;-)

Wahla...not a word! It's actually: Voila! -- Variant(s): or voi·la \vwä-ˈlä\ Function: interjection Etymology: French, literally, see there —used to call attention, to express satisfaction or approval, or to suggest an appearance as if by magic

Then and Than...We will then go up on the roof. I prefer this, rather than that...

Past or Passed? These two words are the bane of my writing experience! I can't even tell them apart anymore!

If you are referring to a period of time before now or a distance, use “past”: “the team performed well in the past,” “the police car drove past the suspect’s house.” If you are referring to the action of passing, however, you need to use “passed“: “when John passed the gravy, he spilled it on his lap,” “the teacher was astonished that none of the students had passed the test.” Remember that no matter however you have ”passed the time” you have never “past the time,” not even in the distant past.

Well, I've posted the epilogue to IMMERSIONS...can't believe that I wrote THE END!

BUT, a couple more authors are penning side shots for this story and I've got an outtake or two that might have to be written in the future...so even though it is THE END...I have wiggle room!
