Author has written 10 stories for Stargate: SG-1, and Stargate: Atlantis. I'm a mom of two little boys, in my thirties, and living in South Africa, where I was born. I spent a long time living in the UK and am married to a Brit, who absolutely loves life in Africa. I have days when I appreciate the fact that I'm in a warm climate with beautiful scenery, and days when all I want is to be back in the Northern Hemisphere and I have to take a firm grip on my feelings of homesickness! (Update) And now I'm moving to a new part of beautiful SA - Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, where I was at university and where it gets cold enough to actually have those bright, crisp days I miss so much! I've always loved Stargate SG-1, and have been enjoying rediscovering the series with the Season 1-10 box set, and the two direct to DVD movies. Come on, Atlantis boxset... I'm also a fan of Buffy (my husband's all time favourite show) and try and catch Dr Who and Torchwood whenever I can. Basically, anything sci-fi grabs me. Update : I've just been lent Firefly, which believe it or not, I've never seen - can't wait to watch that! I stopped writing some years ago, when having small children just got too overwhelming. I struggled to find time even to read! I'm trying to work my way back into regular writing, and still have dreams of penning my own novel... one day... I love sci fi stories, and am particularly fascinated by time travel tales and tales of alternate realities, also alternate histories. What if someone really did manage to assassinate Hitler...? My writing tends to focus on interpersonal relationships, and my challenge for myself this year is to try and formulate actual plots! I welcome reviews and constructive criticism, and have been amazed and thrilled at the amount of really good writing I'm finding online. What a resource the internet is! PS Thrilled to have won a Blue Moon Award for 'Somewhere in the Multiverse'! Thanks so much for voting for me! Like so many others on here, I'm sending out a call to people - Please Review! Even one or two words helps us write more. Update: I'm slowly starting to get the hang of Live Journal - I think! - so please feel free to visit me there and friend me if you'd like to! | |||||||||||
