Author has written 15 stories for Smallville, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, and Phantom of the Opera.

Hello!

My name is Ember and I am a 26 year old English major who resides in sunny (hot) San Diego, CA.

My main focus right now is on Sherlock Holmes stories but I am also working on a gothic fairy-tale. Gerard Butler is my inspiration for most of my work, in one way or another, and is one of the best actors,I think. I also love Johnny Depp and have written some decent fanfic about Jack Sparrow...

I envision Sherlock Holmes as Gerard Butler. Butler played the Phantom in the recent movie version of The Phantom of the Opera and he also played in a wonderful little Scottish movie called "Dear Frankie". He may not look exactly as most people envision Holmes, but to each his own, and I felt his look worked with what I was going for. You can view pics of him here http://s7.photobucket(dot)com/albums/y283/emberpepper/Gerard/ . I know he doesn't look exactly like SH would look but then again, neither did Jeremy or Basil. I think the eyes is what calls to mind SH for me.

I also paint and read (obviously, I'm and English major). I just finished Lolita, Collette, and The Little Prince (which I HIGHLY recommend) I am currently reading Psycho and will then start on The Manchurian Candidate and Shutter Island.

I plan to visit Europe next summer and hopefully visit the 221B Baker Street, along with the Sherlock Holmes pub.

I have some stuff you can buy at www.cafepress.com/Sherlock_Holmes; www.cafepess.com/emmysstuff; and www.cafepress.com/embersstore.

Feel free to visit my website. It's mostly a gallery of videos that I've created based off certain movies and actors (mainly the aforementioned Gerard Butler . . . I'm in love with him LOL!) but there is also some photography and my writings. Sign my guestbook if you'd like, it would make me feel all fuzzy inside!

QUOTES:

"He once threatened to kill me in public."

"Why would he want to kill you in public?" - Clue

Prouver que j'ai raison serait accorder que je puis avoir tort.(Proving that I am right would be admitting that I could be wrong.) - Pierre Augustin Caron de BEAUMARCHAIS, Le Mariage de Figaro, acte I, scène I

You see a decent fellow, I hate to kill you."

"You seem a decent fellow, I hate to die."

--The Princess Bride

Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go.
--Oscar Wilde

A painting in a museum hears more ridiculous opinions than anything else in the world.

--Edmond de Goncourt

I take a short cut when I can get it.

You may have noticed how extremes call to each other, the spiritual to the animal, the cave-man to the angel.

What you do in this world is a matter of no consequence. The question is, what can you make people believe that you have done?

--Sherlock Holmes

If I have one career ambition -- as the so-called manliest man acting today -- then I would like to be remembered as the one who blended macho-ness with sensitivity... without looking stupid or completely self-absorbed.

I've given up abusing myself, and it's amazing how that choice wipes misery out of life. It still takes a couple of years for the detritus to clear away, but - what was the question?

In the past eight years, I have not had a drop of alcohol. Now I love drinking coffee, and also drink coke once in a while when I'm feeling a little crazy.

--Gerard Butler

Thats what a ship is, you know. Its not a keel and a hull and a deck and sails. Thats what a ship needs. But what a ship is. What the Black Pearl really is . . . is freedom.

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for...

Not probable.

--Captain Jack Sparrow

I pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion just because of the expression it leaves on my face.

I may have a feather duster down my pants.

--Johnny Depp
